I wanted to take a couple minutes to show everyone our side! Here at Rover Retreat I am a Dog supervisor & I get to enjoy your amazing dogs! We truly love them like our own! We grow bonds with these dogs on a daily. They love & trust us here at Rover Retreat! I have been working here for over a 1 1/2. I love my job. I wake up looking forward to see all the dogs! I go to bed thinking of these dogs! We have amazing regular dogs that come in on certain days and I won't forget! My boy Otis comes on Wednesday. Or Friday's my Trip & Wesley come in! We also did a bunch of construction recently! We have improved so many things! We have a new owner who is amazing & wants to keep improving things! New management! So many amazing improvements that have happened in the last 6months! We have a new bathtub! Great for baths after your doggo has played here at Rover Retreat! So please come check out this amazing team! & the newly renovated lobby!

Our dog absolutely loves the place- the staff is always happy, friendly, and helpful. I remember when we first moved to Denver and we were looking for a place to board our cockapoo. Everywhere downtown wanted me to bring him in for an interview. Wait a sec, shouldn't we interview the place caring for our pets?! I thought this was just nuts, and didn't have time in case our dog wasn't "worthy" or their kennel to find another place! Luckily, a coworker recommended Beds and Biscuits, and we were able to see the facility and meet the staff. Their rates are very affordable, including the extras like a wash and a brush. Strongly recommend this amazing place - they'll take care of your furbabies right!

I can understand an employee not getting a correction updated to the boarding schedule. Then, since…read morethe departure date was wrong, my girl got a bath on the wrong day. (which in talking with Chuck, he said they would do a refresh on her correct departure day. Unfortunately, she doesn't smell nice and clean) However, trimming her nails which I specifically asked them "Not To Do That" is unacceptable. Now, she is excessively licking her paws and has an injury on her back right foot, just above her nails. Nobody mentioned this to me and she doesn't really play much with other dogs so I doubt it came from a scuffle. Lastly, I brought her 4 bags for breakfast, 4 bags for dinner, 4 bags with one Greenie in each one to be given with/after dinner and 4 bags with a few treats in each bag which they said they would give her at bedtime. They gave me back 2 bags of the treats and 3 bags with the one Greenie in them. There were no extra bags of anything. If they can't feed them correctly, with the separation and labeling of everything, it makes me really question what sort of care did she have while she was in their facility.

Two of them are my problem children: a Rottweiler mix foster fail who is reactive to bikes and other dogs and occasionally nervous around people like visiting contractors or UPS men, and the other is a 100+ lb Brazilian mastiff rescue from Aruba who is not fond of other dogs. The two of them began showing increasingly worse dog aggression toward other dogs on the trail and while camping, and had attacked several dogs by the time I found Loyal Hound/Juliet. I was at my wit's end, because I had already spent thousands of dollars and tried everything including other trainers at that point with little to no progress. I felt stuck with 2 big problems for the next 6-8 years. I hike at least 3 miles every single day off leash on the trails by my house, and I love to camp with my dogs in the summer, but they became such a liability that walks became stressful and camping became impossible. I finally found Juliet with Loyal Hound, and for our very first session we met at a crowded park and were going to be doing off leash training right away. I was so nervous -- all the triggers were present: other people with dogs on leashes, dogs off leashes, people on bikes, squirrels -- so I was absolutely AMAZED when we were walking my Rottweiler off leash through a gaggle of geese, past people on bikes, and past other dogs within a few minutes with no problems. It was nothing short of a miracle. Within a few sessions, I had both of my dog aggressive dogs walking on and off leash next to me, passing other dogs (sometimes dogs that were even barking at them) on trails safely with no reactivity. I cannot explain in words how much of a difference this has made in my life -- I feel like I got my life back. If you have a dog aggressive dog, this is the place to go. It's WELL worth the investment, and you will be amazed at the difference you will see in your dog. Thank you Loyal Hound & Juliet!!

Within 5 minutes we were able to re-establish the training methods that work and get Hope back on track with easy leash walking. I am so impressed with her concise easy to follow instructions. I am looking forward to taking my two Samoyeds on walks again while walking my toddler in a stroller without having to worry that Hope will pull us. Trained dogs are safe dogs and I'd pay for the training with Juliet 10x over. Worth every penny! It makes my life easier as a single mom managing all the things to have two dogs that get to enjoy being outside with us because I trust them and they trust me. Don't hesitate if you need help with your dog!

Grooming Day is such a relief! I currently have four small dogs, two Havanese and two Shih-poos,…read moreand they need to be groomed regularly with their coats of hair in place of the regular fur, which doesn't shed. My dogs seem to do best with a grooming every 4 weeks or so. A "blueberry" is just what they need--the works. Bath, brush, clipping of fur and nails, toothbrushing; I'm sure I don't even know all the things that happen to these adorable creatures during their spa day. But they come home clean, soft, and refreshed--with a lovely blueberry scent that each of them wants to rub off their bodies as quickly as possible, lol! They roll on the couch, rub on the walls, anything to smell like their old selves, but in the end, the four of them look and feel like the best versions of themselves for at least a week after this treatment. Kim has been our groomer for many years and through several dog generations, but the entire staff is very good at what they do for their own clients, and also very helpful as we enter with our four dogs in tow. The dogs get very excited as soon as they realize that they are headed to "Kim's house", and the staff seem genuinely happy to see us all. We've lived in Golden for decades, and with previous dogs we've tried various independent groomers, Petco, and Petsmart, but after finding Bow Wow, Kim, and the whole staff there, we wouldn't think of going anywhere else. Today was our July visit, and I've attached pictures of each dog looking and feeling their best. Take a look!
