DOG OWNERS BEWARE!! Please think twice before boarding your beloved family member. I share my experience in hopes that another family and their dog does not have to suffer. We recently boarded our dog while away in Mexico. We get a call from Diggstown the evening after dropping him off. They had called to let us know that our dog was scratched on the head by a larger dog but that we shouldn't be concerned. Fast forward to Wednesday evening, we get another call from the staff letting us know that our dog had a bath in prep for his pick-up and that he was bleeding and they could not get it to stop. He wasn't scheduled to be picked up until Saturday, and it appeared that they had confused our dog. They told us that our dog needed to be seen by the vet. It was late so we called a 24 hour emergency vet and luckily an employee of theirs was able to drive him to the vet. Once they get him there, the ER vet calls us to let us know that Winston had a severe bite/lacerations on his head, an infection, and an elevated temperature. She tells us that they should have brought him in days ago. He had to be put under/underwent a surgery, and they end up putting a drain tube in his forehead. We always have such anxiety whenever he has to be put under because Frenchies are a brachycephalic bread. When we found out he needed a procedure done, we made the decision to come home from vacation two days early to be with him. Honestly at this point we did not trust Diggstown and we were worried about the possibly of having to say goodbye to our dog. It was all very traumatic. Luckily our dog is now in the process of healing. The staff we had contact with were all very kind. The Manager that was with our dog the night we got back when my husband picked him up had assured us that the Owner would be reaching out to us to discuss financials/how they were going to help with the situation. Two days later Chris the Owner calls and leaves a VM to schedule a time next week to discuss how they can help with the ER bill. My husband calls back right away but no answer and no call back... We were surprised he did not make it a priority to call us, it seemed odd right away. We tried contacting him several times. A few times we were able to get him on the phone.. First time he said he is on another call and would call back (never called back).. Second time he needed to speak to his business partner/wife about the situation and that he has not had a moment to do that? This was days after. We continued to try and call him but were only able to leave more VMs asking him to call us back. It very much felt like he did not genuinely care about our beloved family member and provided a very terrible customer experience. Exactly a week after the ER incident he calls us back to inform us that there was nothing he was going to do to help with the bill and that these sort of incidents happen. This conflicted with the first VM he left us days prior wanting to speak about how they could help with the bill. He tells my husband over the phone that if you send your kid to school and he gets hurt would you ask the school to pay for the medical cost? If this was my 4 year old son and they neglected him..don't get this mama bear started! When my husband questions his response, the owner HANGS UP THE PHONE!!! I did not think people who ran businesses did that! The customer maybe but the Owner of the business-RED FLAG!! I have been a Manager for 15 plus years and I have never seen an individual who is in Operations miss the ball on Customer Service this bad. Truthfully, I am shocked that this place is still in business. I really wish there were more options in Northfield/Central Park. We need better! I am so thankful that our dog is okay and we will never return to this place as long as the current ownership remains. I believe there are wonderful staff there who truly care but it is sad that they have a poor Owner preventing the business from being better. We are stuck with an $1168 vet ER bill, missing the last 2 days of our vacation, additional flight costs, and countless hours of stress/worry. Word of mouth is the best way to stir up business. My 7mo puppy received a dog bite on her cheek here which went unnoticed (during a long weekend stay) until it abscessed and drained... she had a red swollen eye when I picked her up (which they didn't notice) and then drained puss from her face two days later... I realize that stuff happens, but some accountability would have been nice since it happened on their watch. Apologized, stated there was never a scuffle and offered a couple of free daycare days. I'm going to go with 4 stars right now with the right to update with future doggie visits. Let me introduce my dog to you, her name is Anja (An-ya) and she is a white Shepherd husky mix and she is currently 95 pounds, on a diet at the moment. I was looking for a place that could provide both doggie daycare and boarding options for some of my future trips back to the East Coast. This place is within a mile of my apartment and the perfect location for me in Stapleton. I called ahead of time and asked about vaccinations required to make sure my girl was all up to date. Once I was ready to try them out I called the morning of (last minute) and asked if I could bring Anja that day. They were very accommodating and said of course. When I arrived, I was greeted with a friendly smile and asked to fill out new doggie paperwork. Honestly if I had a child this would be the "First Day of School" packet. Questions about her, her size, if she was friendly with all dogs no matter the size, how she was with people, if they could give her treats and so on. Once done they took her back and I looked on like an emotional mother leaving her baby and wondering if she would be alright. Since it was her first day, they promised to call with an update on she was doing in the afternoon. I received a call promptly around 11:30 telling me that she was little shy and checking things out, not really playing but observing. They said she was doing well. If you knew my dog you would know that she can be very shy at first especially without her Mom helping her along. The bonus about Digstown is that I can pick her up between 4:00 and 7:30 at night which gives me enough time to get some stuff done after work without feeling guilty of leaving my baby at home. Also, second bonus is that first day or test day is free to see how your doggie does. Love that! I'm very pleased thus far with the customer service I've received and way my baby has been treated. She is coming home tired and happy, just how she likes it. I bought a package, which reduces the price per day to $25, for the potential of up to 12-13 hours of doggie play time in a day. The prices go down the more visits you buy at a time. I think that's pretty good for any dog owner that wants the best for their pup. I will provide an update after her first boarding experience. So far, great doggie daycare facility for our furry friends. read more

I have been taking my dog, Kash, to digstown shortly after we was able to go. ( after all shots and neutering) He absolutely loves going here. Every time he goes, he is worn out the following day so success. The staff are amazing and I have never had a poor experience with them. They answer questions about his behavior for each day. The price is very fair for daycare and boarding. Overall I love that I can drop Kash off here and not have to worry about him. We have been taking our sweet boy, Tipsy, to Digstown since our first vacation after moving to Denver in 2015. The location is perfect as it is right next to our vet of choice. This time, we left our son for four days with Digstown. Four days before our trip, our pup had a cyst rupture (it was terrifying!) Needless to say, we were worried about leaving him behind with the open wound though he had been given the all clear form the vet as well as antibiotics and anti-inflammatories to assist with healing. I expressed my concerns and left very detailed instructions and requests for his stay. Digstown took extra special care of Tipsy and made sure to send us pictures of the progress of his healing and gave us a very thorough update daily. read more

I've noticed that other paw parents mention the pea gravel as being painful, but the staff mentions it upfront and at pick up from the first visit. It can upset our fur-babies laws at first, but they grow stronger pads. We love the staff, they are really nice and helpful. Our dog loves going there. They have different yards for different sized dogs and older dogs as well. We still go at least once a week. I wish we had thought of this type of doggie daycare! read more

You think Digstown rocks and then they exceed THOSE expectations! Snickers stayed there while we headed out of town and our healthy dog ended up being quite sick. They alerted us right away, ensured that her food and water intake was carefully tracked, and let us know regularly. They kept a close eye on her throughout. It's hard enough to leave a dear pet when heading out of town; it's harder when that pet becomes ill. All along I had full confidence in Digstown's caring and nurturing. I heartily recommend them! They went above and beyond during a tough spell and our dog is just fine. It's as if she were staying at an aunt's or uncle's home, they were that good! read more

We have been customers of Digstown in Northfield for a number of years. Previously we had not had any problems. This last time however, when we got our dog back she was sick. I ended up taking her into our vet twice and after getting her on the mend, I called Digstown and left a message asking if there were any other sick dogs that they knew of and if they could give me a call back I had some questions. After 1 week with NO RETURN phone call I called again and left another message, this time asking for a manager to return my call. I to this day have not heard back from anyone at Digstown. For this reason I will never trust them to care for my dog again. read more

Took my dog here for a trial day and she was just fine. Came home happy and tired! We loved the fact that she could play all day. Left her here for Christmas 2015 for 3 days, and upon pickup is when all the problems occurred. She had torn and raw paws (never seen this on my dog a single time before), pee on her face (I understand, dogs sniff. But they're also promised to be bathed here), and what we later found out was an eye infection . I had arranged for a late pickup as my flight would be arriving after regular pickup hours. They told me I would be charged for another day and I agreed. I just wanted to get her home as soon as possible after being gone. My flight ended up arriving on time to pick my dog up, and I made it well within the allotted pickup hours. When I received the bill the extra day was still charged, and regardless of phone calls to managers nothing was changed. A credit for the day on our next stay was promised to us. Fast forward to this Christmas, and we are trying to get her on the waitlist as last resort (we need SOME sort of backup plan, and we had a free day). We are told "Due to an issue with your last stay, we will no longer reserve any spots for your dog". Our dog came home with bloody paws which they assume no responsibility of (and an infection), we pay for an unjust extra day, and now we're refused service (which was a big suprise, there wasn't a big stink before). Yes, the facility is new but I think that this is more impressive to us humans and not our dogs. For this, I give them a star. We recently left our pup there for 5 days (so hard - the first time we've been away from her for that long) and are not impressed. They seemed indifferent to special instructions and when I called, I got generic answers like, "Oh yeah, she's fine." When I asked if she has been given her medication, the girl responded confusingly, "What medication." Never mind that I had left explicit instructions for them. It seems to me that most of their staff are 18 years old or less and, as I have said, indifferent. When I arrived that day to pick her up I noticed that there was still an extra baggie of food (labeled for that day. Yes, I put each meal in zip lock bags and labeled them with the date and AM or PM). When I asked why she wasn't fed this morning, the young lady stared at me blankly. "Oh, she did," she said. "Um, okay. Why is this bag of food still here?" I asked. Still puzzled, she excused herself and disappeared into the back. She returned after 5 minutes and said that my dod "just didn't eat this morning." Not wanting to continue, I left. Trust me - - my puppy would never skip a meal. I am convinced that they just forgot and didn't want to tell me so. This all makes me wonder if other meals were missed - - and if my dog really got her eye drops - - or if they really payed attention to her. As I drove off I realized that I had forgotten to get her bed that I brought (otherwise, the dogs sleep on cold concrete floors). I came back in and asked if she would get it for me. "We don't have a bed for her," she said. I explained that I brought it in when we arrived last week and surely it was an oversight. "Are you sure you didn't take it when you left with your other stuff?" she asked. Are you kidding me? Y E S I am sure. Are you sure that you are really a doggie daycare or did you just decide to ride the wave of the ever-growing pet industry in Denver?? Needless to say, she was starving when she got home . . . and absolutely exhausted. Not in the normal, "Oh my god - - I played my ass off at day care today." This was worse. She obviously didn't receive the mid-day naps I asked them to give her. BTW, this place does NOT give mid-day naps like most other day care facilities. They say that they will IF you ask (which I did) but I really don't think they do/will. This is probably because it takes more work . . . Perhaps people like Digstown for day care. Hell, I chose this place because of the two positive reviews - - even though my gut said to go with another place. I should have listened. My choice was a resounding mistake. We are not the kind of freaky dog owners who think that our dog is really a human being - - or anything like that. But when we cannot be there for her, we expect that the place we hire will take good care of her. DO NOT LOOK TO DIGSTOWN FOR THIS KIND OF CARE. I hate to sound like such a complainer! Horrible!!! They do not watch the dogs closely enough. My dog ended up with a deep puncture wound that landed us at ER vet after hours for sutures and overnight stay to recover from sedation. Owner backed up staff who called that day to tell me my dog got a "little scratch". Would not offer to help with vet bill. My vet feels the injury is from a sharp object since only one distinct hole and no other marks... This place us unsafe and staff are under qualified and treat you like you're stupid. I'm no longer a customer of Digstown. The past two times I've boarded my Min Pins, the staff did not follow my very specific, written instructions. When called out on it, they didn't care, or offer any sort of restitution. Poor customer service, young/incompetent workers, and a "who cares" attitude have really turned me off. To boot, my two dogs have come home shell-shocked. I will not return, and can't recommend this place. STILL on the hunt for excellent small (and middle-aged/calm) dog daycare/boarding. read more

I agree with Deena's review (in the other Digstown entry on Yelp) about customer service, and I wish I would have seen this review before I started taking our dog there. Our one-year-old puppy had been going there for about a month for daycare, and we had no reason to suspect that things weren't going well. Every time we picked up our puppy from daycare, we asked how things went, and each time they'd said he'd had a good day. We decided to board him there for the first time last weekend when we went out of town for four days. Then we got a phone call at 6:30 in the morning while we were over 1200 miles away from home telling us that our dog had injured himself while he was muzzled. Apparently he had gotten into dogs' faces in the morning and was being a little too rambunctious, so they thought muzzling him would calm him down. On the contrary, he probably freaked out and tried to get the muzzle off, so he ended up scratching himself on the nose. It's difficult to tell from his laceration how long the muzzle was left on, rubbing against his nose. The whole area on top of his nose is bright pink/red and the fur has rubbed off. When I asked why I wasn't told about the muzzle when it was needed, they said, "Oh, it's in the fine print in the boarding contract. You basically said we could use it when you signed the contract." I'm unhappy with the fact that we were never contacted when there was a problem in the first place, and even more disgusted that no one ever provided an accurate update of our dog's time at daycare. I told them that other daycares used time-out, and only then did they admit that they'd tried time-out in the past. They explained that he was scratching at the door and barking constantly during time-out. There was never any indication that he was too rambunctious for the other dogs in daycare. If I would have even suspected that he would have had problems at Digstown while we were gone, I never would have considered boarding him there while we were out of town, but I would have made other arrangements with a house sitter. Why was I hearing it for the first time AFTER they had already tried time-out several times? There is absolutely no communication from the staff or between staff members. When my husband arrives to pick up our dog, it's so chaotic. Even when he asks about how the dog did, they just tell him that things went great and the dog had a great day, even though they might be experiencing behavior problems early in the morning when his energy level is highest. We are new clients, and we ask how things went to see if the new new facility is a good fit for our dog. Aside from lack of communication to us, the morning manager, Jack, hadn't even left a note for the afternoon assistant manager to tell her he had to wake us up in Portland because our puppy was muzzled and got injured. When we picked up the dog, the assistant manager didn't even have any clue that there had ever been a problem with our puppy. Finally she went to the back to ask around, and she said he'd had time-outs in the past. One has to wonder why there are no webcams anywhere in the facility. Many daycares in this price range have webcams in every room so you can view your dog from work anytime. They're also very sensitive about people peeking over the fence--there's a sign that says it bothers the dogs, but perhaps the fear behind people looking over the fence is that dogs may or may not be treated as well as the owners hope. There's no way of telling how many dogs have had to wear a muzzle for being too rambunctious and no way of telling how long it's been left on. All I know is, the top of my dog's nose is rubbed raw. In Denver's intense heat, it is really inhumane to muzzle a dog so he can't have access to water. Digstown wasn't the right place for us. If you're not picky about how your dog is treated while you're on vacation, by all means, take a chance. However, if your dog is your baby, don't risk it. Imagine if something worse would have happened than a wounded nose. read more

**** THIS IS A REVIEW OF DIGSTOWN NORTH***** Worst customer service (Marisol) ever!! Rude, condescending and liars! Don't ever take your dog here, not if you care about them. About a year ago they told me they had used a muzzle on my dog. When I asked why, they explained that he played really rough, but NEVER bit any other dogs. They said they put the muzzle on him as a precaution, even though in his 3+ years he's never bitten another dog or human, not once! So I stopped taking him there and worked with him in the dog park to calm his play, and never had the problems Digstown said they had. I took him earlier this month as a trial, for a weekend stay and specifically asked them to call me if they thought he needed a muzzle and I would have a relative pick him up instead of subjecting him to an unnecessary muzzle I never got a call and when I picked him up Sunday evening, I very clearly asked about the muzzle. The (really nice) lady working that night told me he hadn't, and they hadn't had any trouble of any kind with him all weekend. So this morning I thought I would take him for the day only, a treat for him to have playmates for the day! When I walked in at 0700 with not another soul around, got chastised by Marisol, then when I asked her to call me before putting a muzzle on him so I could come and get him, she blurted "oh he always has a muzzle on, the minute he gets here" the other lady who worked there looked mortified when Marisol said this to me and was profusely apologizing to me and the dog as I took him and left. I have numerous witnesses and other kennels as reference that my dog does not need to be muzzled. Yet this place thinks it's the default? This is animal cruelty and I will be reporting them to the authorities. read more

Updated update - I got a call from the GM of Digstown. We had a nice conversation where he explained their side of this situation. I appreciate where they are coming from... with 150 dogs a day, three dogs getting sick isn't an outbreak. He appreciated where we are coming from... with one dog, it feels like an outbreak. He says they are rated well and get compliments from the officials for the care they give. I appreciate that. --- Sad to have to update my review but I have to after our experience recently. My dog went to Digstown on Saturday, June 11. She came home and that next evening had explosive diarrhea and was vomiting. She ended up with blood in her stool and the vet told us that she got a parasite (which we pinned the timing down to while at day care). Then the past couple of days she began coughing and throwing up from the force of the coughs. We took her to the vet again yesterday and she was diagnosed with kennel cough. The vet thinks it clearly came from Digstown as she was perfectly healthy prior to going and does not often have interactions with other dogs, nor does she eat poop while under our watch. My husband called Digstown today to tell them about the situation. The manager said yup, we have three dogs that got kennel cough from that day. When pressed they said this was the worst outbreak they had seen. ... That was it. No apologies. Nothing. After this experience, we will not use Digstown again. Beyond making my dog incredibly sick, the fact that they can't even apologize is appalling to me. Very poor customer service. I don't need an offer of money (maybe a refund for the day or the rest of the punches we won't use now) ... just a simple "I'm so sorry. I know how important fur children are and how hard it must be to see her suffer" would have sufficed. read more

Boarded my dogs here for the weekend. One of my dogs got bloody diarrhea while they were here. They did not call to tell me about it until the next day which is unacceptable. I think my dog picked up bug at the facility. $200 later in vet bills. Don't recommend this place. When I came to pick up my dogs I could hear employees yelling at the dogs in the back. My other dog now has a ear infection. Wonder if that's from the facility as well. I will never bring my dogs back there. My boy Frank loves to go to 'play school' at Digstown! They are always so great with him and are very accommodating to any special requests.

I lived in Stapleton for about two years. We frequently were out of town and needed a place to watch our older dog while we were gone. Since Digstown was close, we gave it a try. They gave us a tour of the facility. They had three runs, one for large dogs, one for small dogs, and one for special dogs. They had a low staff to dog ratio and gave each dog their own place to sleep at night. We really liked that they had a separate space for small dogs. Our pup was a new addition to the family and we could tell already that he was not much a fan of other dogs, especially big ones. Our dog LOVED it! He is a small dog that likes to cuddle and prefers humans to other dogs. The Digstown people were very accommodating to our dog and gave him the special attention that he wanted/needed. They often commented on how much they loved having him there and gave us silly (but cute) report cards with every visit. When we would pack our bags to go out of town, Andre' (our dog) would get so excited. When we dropped him off, he would not even stick around to say goodbye. He was off to go hang out with the Digstown staffers. I never felt guilty dropping my dog off here. I knew he would have a great time and would be well cared for. We have moved out of state now and I am on the hunt for a place like Digstown! read more

Dog owners are funny people lol ... our dog (and we) love the place. Staff seems attentive and when there have been any "incidents" - like our dog roughhousing with another dog or vice versa (which just means they're being dogs, humans!), they sometimes call with an update that they've separated the dogs for a while to let them chill out. We do day care and overnights - no complaints at all. The best signal is our pup rushing out of the car with his tail wagging to get into the place! read more

We have been taking our dog to digstown since it opened. Since I have moved neighborhoods, I have tried a few other daycares... and none compare to digstown. The staff and owners have always been friendly and helpful with any needs my dog (or I have). Our dog is so excited to get there she starts salivating about a block away... she runs in can't wait to get her day started. We recently got another dog from a rescue who had been severly shy of people and I was a bit timid to bring him with to daycare. We called and spoke with the front desk gal and we coordinated a visit with the main behavioral' worker to be there to 'monitor' our new dogs behavior/comfort level. When I brought the dogs in, they worked with the Shiba and had a few options on how to deal with him... and I felt 100% comfortable with the care and attention they were going to provide for his 1st doggie experience. When I picked them up... they had a report of how he came around and examples of how he warmed up to them at the end of the day (which was a success). Beyond that, this is one of the only boarding facilities where there is a worker who spends the night with the dogs. They also have a fire system set up, but I especially like there is someone there in case of emergency. From what I remember... they have beds that can be used if you fail to bring one.... they feed your dog in case you run out of food in an emergency.... so I'm not sure what happend to other customers in the previous comments. All in all... a solid business. read more

We have taken our big 120 lb Coon Hound to Digstown for day care as well as boarding. He is kind of a nutty guy and sort of quiet but he seems very happy to go and very happy when we pick him up. He runs for the door when we get there to enter. I have no complaints about his treatment or the staff and when we have been there everyone has been very nice and willing to discuss his visit. The only negative is the price...which is a little higher than most places but the convenience(easy drop off enroute to DIA)makes up for it! read more

My mini Aussie has a ton of anxiety and hates going in without me but I always get in report that he is exploring, watching and sometimes plays with other days. They are honest about his behavior and the staff is always so friendly. They worked me that my dogs paws might be a little tender at first but will adjust. Alright, since the owner didn't want to reply, I'll just talk about my experience openly. Back in March of this year I worked at a Doggy Daycare called Digstown Doggie Day Care, Lodge & Spaw . I worked there for over a year. I went through some traumatic personal stuff that required me to get a service dog. Upon getting my service dog I spoke to the managers and we all got on the same page that my dog ALWAYS needed to be around me. We agreed that was fine and so whatever. Holidays rolled around and employee dogs weren't allowed during that time because of how busy we were (including mine). I let it slide because I had family members at the moment that could watch my pup and because I understood that we were busy. (Still not an excuse because he's a service dog). During Spring Break of 2018 I quit. Not because I wanted to but because of the unfairness of the managers. They had said no employee dogs allowed and during that time we didn't have many dogs scheduled for boarding or for daycare. I tried reasoning with them that I lived on my own now and that my dog had to be with me at ALL times because at that point we both have severe separation anxiety and I couldn't just leave him in my apartment alone. I tried reasoning with them explaining to them that he was my service dog and that I really needed him to be there with me and they just wouldn't budge. They said the rules were what they were. So I had no choice but to quit. I quit because I didn't want to work at a place that wasn't understanding of what I was going through and why I needed my service dog. So yea I quit. Only to find out the manager who said no employee dogs had HIS dogs there ALL week and probably boarding because they pretty much basically live there. But besides the point, I found out OTHER employees were allowed to take their dogs to work as well. And I couldn't even with him being a service dog. It was unfair and quite frankly illegal to tell me I couldn't bring my service dog. I loved that job more than anything and I enjoyed being there. We've been frequenting Digstown for over a year and couldn't be happier with the staff, the facility and the all around experience. Our dog, Daisy, goes to Digstown three days a week for daycare and absolutely loves it. The staff know her name when she is dropped off and she is always excited to see them. What we we like most about Digstown are the: - hours of operation (6:30am - 7:30pm - 13 hours a day) - friendly, helpful and attentive staff (which includes Vet Techs) - dog friendly design - cost - proximity to our house, and lastly - 24 hour staffing (for those that board overnight) We buy packages of 20 visits for $440 (22/day) which is a fair price for up to 13 hours of boarding. In addition, the staff are very attentive and spend a lot of time playing and supervising the dogs. They have called to let me know when she is not her normal playful self to make sure she isn't sick and also provide reminders for vaccine boosters. I've read some of the other reviews on here that have given low ratings. I've never had any negative experiences that these relative few have posted about. The only thing that would make Digstown better would be the ability to watch your dogs playing online with live stream webcams. All in all, we're very pleased with the level of service, value and care that we receive from Digstown. Daisy comes home happy and tired after a day playing with her canine and human friends. We strongly recommend Digstown to all dog owners in the Denver area. read more

Tried it out for daycare and boarding but it is too much of a hassle to go there. They have weird pickup and drop off times that make it really inconvenient for a frequent traveler like myself. They also don't call the vet when their records expire. I've always gone to places that do that for you so now that I have to do it I'm this awkward middle man. I'd rather go to a place that's more accommodating for the humans. read more

It was my pups first day here and I want to share not only her experience but mine. No matter who I interacted with the staff here (one off of willow) were so kind, personable, transparent, and informative. They made an effort to make me feel comfortable with leaving my little one there. They even called me this afternoon to tell me how she was doing, who she was playing with, how she was doing with the staff and how she was playing in the pools. This was so reassuring as I am always wondering about her and hoping she is okay. Then when I picked up they once again told me how she played (gave me specifics) and that they noticed her paw pads were a bit pink so they took the initiative to give her a salt bath to help her paws. This made me a bit nervous because I have seen some pretty horrific paw pads in my day and was expecting the worst. When I checked her pads they were barely pink! I was so relieved! They took the time to take care of her paws before they became an actual issue which I greatly appreciate! We will absolutely be back! We've been taking our dogs to Digstown for over 2 years, starting at the South location and now at the North location. Our pups absolutely love it there, and we love the friendly, neighborhood vibe. Everyone who works there knows us and our dogs, and they share heart-warming anecdotes when we pick the dogs up, in addition to the adorable photos and videos they post to their Facebook page every day. When we found ourselves in the difficult situation of needing to re-home one of our dogs, Digstown went above and beyond to support us during such a difficult time, emotionally and logistically, as we need to keep our two dogs separated at all times. They advertised for us in their lobby, spread the word to their network, and even offered us a financial break on services for the dog we need to re-home. We truly feel like family there, which has been more comforting than I can express in words during this difficult time. I'm in awe of everything they've done for us, and cannot recommend them enough to other dog owners. Your doggo will love it there, especially playing in their pools during the hot summer days, and you'll love how well taken care of your furry friend is. Their rates are actually among the lowest I've seen in the Stapleton/Park Hill area, and for better service than I've ever gotten at a doggie daycare (we've tried a few previously). I was impressed after our initial trial day, so our dog Ranger stayed here for a weekend while we were out of town. We dropped him off Thursday morning and a few hours later received a call that he was in a scuffle and had a "scratch" on his ear. We were told he was all patched up and doing fine, and they would keep a close eye on it for the weekend. When we saw him on Sunday evening his ear had fresh blood. In addition to his ear wound, he had sores all over his mouth. We took him to our vet who immediately told us to find a new daycare. We emailed Digstown to inform them of the sores, etc. but never received a reply. 8 months and multiple vet visits later, Ranger's ear wound still breaks open occasionally when playing... quite the "scratch". read more

DON'T TAKE YOUR DOG HERE. My dog got injured. Heard 3 different stories about what happened. The 3rd being they couldn't tell me. I am paying you to watch my dog and apparently they aren't doing that. I will be taking my pup to the vet in the morning to see how bad the injuries are. For now she's lost a nail. And has some pretty bad pain in the ribs/chest. Very upset. Especially when they called me mid day and told me it was no big deal & the person who called was giggling the entire conversation. My dogs safety isn't a joke. I'm upset I didn't read further reviews regarding this establishment. Looks nice on the outside. Not so nice on the inside. read more

I unfortunately never reviewed Digstown 4 years ago when we had a negative experience but my second experience was clearly so bad that I have now decided to write one. We left our dog for her first overnight stay when she was 5 months old. Being Stapleton residents, we were excited to support a small business that was conveniently located in our neighborhood. We returned from our trip to find our normally very excited/very eager puppy limping toward us on three legs with one eye swollen shut.... When we asked the Digstown staff what had happened to her, they gave us blank stares and said they didn't know. That perhaps her paws were "sore" from playing on the gravel. We ended up having to take her to the vet, after hours, and found out she had a raging infection that started in one of her paws and ended up in the lymph nodes of her arm. I know things happen. Dogs play hard. What I don't understand is: (1) why were we never called and informed of what happened? (2) why did the staff have no clue what happened, even though they advertise having a "low" staff to dog ratio? (3) why did the OWNER take absolutely no responsibility for the negligence of his staff members and proceed to blame us for "not supporting small business"? We chose to find another doggy daycare. Recently, we had heard that Digstown was under new ownership, so we decided to give them another try. I called to make a daycare reservation for her this week. One of the staff member called me back and left a message saying that they had room and to bring her the next morning. The same staff member called back three minutes later to say that she had made a mistake and that our dog couldn't come after all. No explanation. My husband called the next day to find out what happened and was told a manager had to call him back.... When they finally got back to him, the manager was over the top rude and defensive right off the bat. He stated that there was a "negative" incident four year ago, that our dog had been "blacklisted", and that they did not want our business. So much for second chances... if I had the choice, I would give Digstown negative stars, but since that's not an option, one star will have to do. As a small business owner, it makes me sad to see that businesses like this are actually in business. read more

We are leaving to go out of town on the 4th and called Digstown to see if they had space for our lab. I always take our dog to Valhalla Kennels in Bennett because they have a great staff and will take our lab running or swimming if we request it. They train hunting dogs, so she is around other labs and bird dogs. They are also only $25 for an overnight stay. Anyway, Bennett is a 30 minute drive so I was looking for something more convenient for this weekend. When I called Digstown last week they said that they were full, but always leave 2 spots open and if our dog passed her "evaluation", then they would give her a spot. WRONG. When I picked her up this afternoon from her evaluation, the two teenagers munching Doritos behind the reception desk told that she was now on a waiting list and they would get back to me. I explained that when I spoke to the manager I was told that our dog would have a spot and they responded by saying that they had just spoke to the manager and was told to tell me this. I told them not to bother to call me. I would rather drive to Bennet where I know my dog is around professional people and happy dogs. From the few moments I spent at Digstown, I got a sense that the people that work there are really just in it for the paycheck not for their love of dogs. read more

i haven't actually used their doggie daycare services. and won't. i was completely unimpressed during our visit there. The staff was curt. The gate in the front office wasn't closed. If someone was entering the lobby when a dog was brought out, the pup could literally run out the door. And Montview is a busy road. One woman asked to see where her dog has been that day and was told no. Although its closest to work, the people and their practices didn't instill any sense that they'd be good with my little girl. read more

Diggstown Review - I'm would actually give Diggstown an overall review of 1.5 stars. I would say that their daycare services are about a 3 star rating and their boarding/overnight services are about a 1 star rating. We've been taking our two dogs to Diggstown for a little over a year now and I think that the daycare services they provide are fine. We haven't had any issues with them as far as daycare is concerned, so I would recommend them to a friend or family member who is looking for a place to take their pup for the day, but I'm not sure it is a place I would rave about. Our pups come home tired and seem fairly happy with their stay, but the other reviews I have read make me a little more hesitant to bring my dogs back. I do like that you can only drop off and pick up your dogs at certain times, but I think this process for them can be improved a bit because those times are very chaotic and not very well managed. We have boarded our dogs here twice so far and have had issues each time. The first time we boarded our pups, we were told that you could only drop off in the morning and pick up in the evening. We later found out this was not the case when we went in to pick them up we were charged an additional day for daycare. We argued with them and had the additional day refunded, but between the manager and the other staff it felt like no one actually knew what the policies on dropping off and picking up. The second time we boarded our pups, we left them for a longer period of time (4 nights/5days). And after this experience, I wouldn't recommend them long term (more than 1 night) stays. Day care is included in the boarding fee, but the problem is that there are no breaks giving to the dogs that are staying multiple days. We recently took our dogs to stay for 4 nights/5 days while we were out of town. One of my dogs came home limping when I took them out for their nightly walk. When I looked at her paws, she had VERY swollen and red pads. This issue was so bad that we ended up having to take her into the vet a few days later to have her checked for an infection, which she had. The whole event ended up being costly and avoidable since Diggstown clams to do "Paw Checks" every hour. However, they don't do anything about a dog's paws if they find they were irritated in any way. No breaks are automatically given, you have to request them, but you don't know to requests breaks until you have an injured pup. I called to ask them if anything had happened during her stay when I noticed her limping (because no one bothered to say anything when we picked them up!) and was told that the Paw Check sheet said her paws were only slight red and irritated. I called the day after we had to take her into the vet and was told an entirely different story. I'm not really sure what is going on here, but I'm probably never going back to find out. Bottom line, if you need a place for daycare, this place is fine. But unless you want to make an extra trip to your vet, I wouldn't leave your four-legged friends here for longer than 1 day. read more

I've brought my dogs here twice just for doggie daycare. I've never had a problem with the staff, when I drop them off they know their names and seem genuinely happy to see my dogs. My dogs came home exhausted and happy. I even asked them to bath the girls, they were clean fluffy and were wearing bandanas when I picked them up. They even noticed that my dogs ears were a little dirty, and mentioned it to me. I will continue to bring my dogs here. They love the pool and the attention they get. I also appreciate that my dogs don't stink like kennel and they spend the majority of the day outside, unlike other day care's that don't have a pool and/or outdoor space. read more

Used this place for a couple months now. I'm really impressed with the service my dog and I received. The staff is young but friendly and as far as I can tell competent. My dog always seems to enjoy going there. Loves the water! They've pretty much always told me abot how is day went and what he did.
