When he first started, he was really shy, hardly spoke, and would prefer playing and being alone, which was concerning me. However, my son soon began to excel. He's become more social and verbal, constantly learning new things and continuously showing improvement. When I pick him up from school, I love seeing how happy and comfortable he is playing with the other children. He now tells me about his friends and what he did that day, and sometimes, out of nowhere, he'll sing songs he learned at school. The teachers are incredibly kind, caring, and patient with all the children. They genuinely show how much they care for every child's development, well-being, and education. They are always willing to discuss any questions, recommendations, and concerns I or they may have. I appreciate it when the teacher not only informs me of his progress but also points out areas that he needs improvement in. The staff also helped me with potty training and were always understanding and accommodating to schedule changes. I have peace of mind every day when I drop him off, knowing he will be safe, well cared for, and in good hands. I completely trust my child in their care. I 100% highly recommend Discovery Montessori Preschool to any family searching for a high-quality, reliable preschool where children are encouraged to learn and develop. I will say I have had my complaints about and with the school, but now with "head of school" gone I feel comfortable sending my child back next year. The previous "head of school" (Mr. Emmanuel Lacoste) seemed like a dictator and I was unsure about sending my daughter there next year. However, he recently abruptly resigned and I have noticed the administration moving towards positive change. The majority of the staff are very nice and always saying hello. I have had my complaints with the school regarding communication which have been addressed appropriately. The school now has provided better communication and they seem more willing to hear concerns. Previously I emailed the head of school and never received a response. I called many times and spoke to the head of school one time and asked to meet with him. He assured me I could walk into his office anytime. The next day I went to try to meet with him, and he was unable to meet with me. I believe the school is headed in a positive direction and I plan to send both of my daughters there in the future. To those reading these reviews... there are evident fake reviews by people who find it necessary to make fake accounts and try to hide behind a negative review. I'd urge you to ask a parent about their experience rather than just read a review from someone who may be a previous parent or ex employee.

If I showed up in person, sometimes someone buzzed me in to the office, sometimes no one in the office and I had to try another time. Good thing my kids already older and they can communicate things with me. But I will not consider this school for regular attendance based on gap of communication among staff, educators and parents. It feels that parents concerns are not appreciated. The issue that I had was class changes, updating pick up person form. Had to do it multiple times and still not updated. So if you enroll your kids in summer school, pick your classes wisely. My daughter accidentally picked 3 science classes back to back and the school did not make any attempt to help us to change it until the next two days. One of this science class, my daughter was the only student there. For third week of summer school, my daughter chose spanish class as her last class of the day, and she was enrolled to something else.

Ms. Elin was my son's Pre-K teacher, and he absolutely adores her. Under her guidance, he learned all the alphabets, shapes, and colors, and can now count to 20 -- skills I know are often taught in TK. Beyond academics, Ms. Elin always incorporated fun, engaging activities that the kids loved. She also helped my son become more independent with eating, which was something he really needed encouragement in. In the afternoons, when Ms. Elin left, other wonderful teachers stepped in to provide care -- Ms. Silvia, Ms. Christine, Ms. Mary, Ms. Marie and Ms. Nour. My son knows and loves them all. When I once asked my son if there was any teacher he liked the least, his answer was, "no," which says it all!) Last but certainly not least, Ms. Virgine is an incredible director. My son was both a Covid baby (super shy) and a preemie, so I had extra concerns as a first-time mom. One of the main reasons I chose LPG was the smaller class sizes, so he wouldn't be overwhelmed. I was nervous at first, but my worries quickly faded as I watched him grow and thrive. By the time he graduated, he not only had friends in his own class but also knew the names of kids from other classes. She creates a warm and welcoming environment where my girls feel safe and supported. One thing we especially appreciate is her excellent communication with us. Ms. Ana is very responsive through WeChat; she provides us peace of mind when we have any questions regarding our kids. Ms Shiela was excellent in introducing both my daughters to writing/math/reading at the beginning of the year. She was able to identify different needs for each of my daughters and created a plan for us to follow at home to reinforce what was being taught at school. The time I had with Ms Shiela in the teacher parent meetings showed me that she really cared about her students and treated them as if they were her own. I am so impressed with my daughters' growth throughout the year; seeing the work they did in class and also the activities they have and are doing now at home is just amazing. We are so grateful to have had Ms. Ana and Ms. Shiela take care of and teach our kids.
