Heading south on I-15 after lunch we missed one fruit stand and decided to stop at this one to stock up on fresh fruit for our trip. They have a variety of goods, including ice cream. They offer canning classes. We walked through the store and into the cold room, which was cool on both levels. They had several varieties of apples. I chose the one that was unfamiliar, Ginger Gold. They felt crisp, always a good sign. They were $7 / bag, but we didn't want that many. I put 4 in the little handle bag. Alan put a box of blueberries in another handle bag while I put an assortment of plums and nectarines in a bag. The apples were 50 cents apiece, the nectarines and plums both 89 cents/ lb and the blueberries were $2.50. We got all that for less than $10. Alan liked the nectarine he tried and we both liked the plums. Tomorrow we'll try the apples and the blueberries. read more

Cute place. Lots of random treats. We got ice cream and it was pretty good. I got key lime, which was so-so, and caramel apple, which was pretty delicious but I didn't get any of the actual caramel swirls. The flavors tasted very artificial to me. read more

Great example of a small town store! Most people go for their amazing ice cream, but there are many more options. They sell fudge, cookies, candy, local fruits and jams, and things of that sort. I've personally tried many items here and not once have i been disappointed. They have 20 or so ice cream flavors at a time, all of which are amazing flavors. Also, while you are there go into the cooler and grab a sample of apple juice. It is amazing! The atmosphere there is great. Love the small town feel that is there. During the fall months they also have hay rides pulled by the tractor that takes you to their pumpkin patch. Locals love going their and many people stop by on their annual trips for a nice break in the travel. It isn't far from the freeway which makes it perfect. 10/10 read more

A bit off the beaten path. We wouldn't have stopped here had our friends not called us letting us know that they were stopping here so we decided to stop here. Our entire experience here was good. Everyone was very helpful and friendly. We purchased fuji apples, sweet cherries and a gallon of apple juice. We tasted the apple juice before purchasing and it was very good. The Fuji apples and the cherries were also good. They would have gotten five stars knocked off two stars because when we went to checkout, the person that rinsed our cherries (so that we could eat in in the car on the way back to Nevada) put about 3 or 4 heavily soaked paper towels under the bag of cherries to help absorb the water. She then went to weigh the cherries and didn't remove the paper towels before weighing them. So we payed about $4 dollars a pound for the cherries and the receipt showed 2.46 pounds for the cherries. I didn't think we got that much but I'm guessing the soaked paper towels were maybe 4-6 ounces or so. Unless this was a service charge, this was not the right thing to do. I didn't really think about it until the transaction was completed, thinking about what happened. I was going to mention it to her after the but decided not to bring it up. When she rung up the Fuji apples, the bag was in a small but thick & heavy brown paper bag with handles. I don't think she subtracted the tare weight of the paper bag. I just saw her weigh the produce and punch it into the cash register. Maybe she subtracted when she entered it in but based on what I saw, I don't think she did. Hopefully I'm wrong. read more

Went several times but left as I waited so long and nobody cared it seem. One day 2 elder women were talking even knowing I was there and waited 10 minutes and said the heck with this and left. The second time 2 girls at ice cream side serving 1 customer, nobody on bakery side, then when they finished they helped a new customer not acknowledging me. Do you want a fun place to go with your family? The Red Barn is fun for everyone! The red barn has wagon rides that takes you to a super orange pumpkin patch. You can't miss it the barn is bright red! It has five rooms. The main room has all the yummy treats with the old fashion furniture. And the very good jams and biscuits too. The two other rooms are the bathrooms of course, which are sparkly clean by the way. Then we have the dining area. And the last but not least we have the fruit cooling room. That room is so cold you could freeze the sun! We go there every year for my sister's birthday. Her birthday is in October so it's near Halloween. We go there for the wagon ride, pumpkins, and most of all the apple cider donuts! We have lots of fun together as a family. I love the wagon ride up to the pumpkin patch. All of the pumpkins are different weight and sizes. My cousin and I always get the demented pumpkins. You can also go to the "scary" little kid maze by the pumpkin patch. If you like to go with your family on little day trips, you should keep The Red Barn in mind. I love all of the fun treats and things to look at. The wagon ride with fall colors around you. The excitement of your children or parents . All different sizes of your bright orange pumpkin. Delightful treats you, can eat and be satisfied with. Great snacks for the day you can buy. Apple cider donuts dipped in apple cider! The drive up you get to see the beautiful fall colors, even on the wagon you get to see the fall colors. There is a good chance everyone has driven by this barn if they live in Utah. I have passed it for years, even cycled by it and the beautiful orchards. I finally stopped and I wish I would have stopped sooner. We don't live in Utah anymore, but happened to drive by and thought it was a great opportunity to stop. Can I just say the Homemade Ice Cream was amazing!!! There was a little bit of a line, but it went quickly. It is priced wonderfully and the portion sizes do not disappoint! This is a great place to do a day date - especially for college kids. I also had the doughnut which was really good. And you have to get whatever produce is in season, because honestly, local stuff is always going to be better. The peaches were juicy and delicious, I wish I could bring a box home with me. The cheese is from somewhere else but it was really good too. All in all, I would highly recommend checking it out. read more

It's amazing to see the variety of items you can get at the barn. Everything from fresh fruit and fruit products, to a large quantity of treats (dozens of flavors of home made ice cream, chocolate and yogurt covered fruit, slushees, etc...) - most of which are made by them. They even recently added a soda fountain a nice throwback to the past. Since my last visit they have even redesigned the inside, providing tables and a more open space. I highly recommend stopping by, anytime you are passing the 2nd Santequin exit next to the Red Barn, or even if you are just wanting a fun treat!! The prices are very reasonable also!! read more
