This place has been on my list to check out forever, but since I'm rarely in the area I haven't had a chance to stop by. Luckily I was hiking nearby and needed a treat afterwards. This is a whole convenience/grocery store which I didn't realize until walking in. There are two lines for food - one for burgers/fries etc, and the other just for ice cream. They have a bunch of flavors! I tried a taster of the graham canyon which was delicious, and ended up getting the mint brownie. My single scoop serving was huge and came with a cone. It was really yummy! The service here was a little odd. There were a ton of people working behind the counter but everyone seemed very confused and it wasn't very efficient. There were some tables inside and picnic tables outside as well. The food line was pretty busy, but the ice cream line was short and moved quickly.

The new creamery is bright, roomy, and comfortable. It makes room for all of the crowds that they have on a regular basis. There is a great energy to this newly expanded location, beckoning friends to gather inside, on the expanded, covered and well lit patio. Can't wait for the original building to make way for the larger parking lot. The creamery ice cream is rich, smooth, flavorful, and quite popular. We have several favorite flavors including roasted almond fudge, graham canyon (I think their most popular), coconut joy (can't resist its fudge ripple), and Lavell's vanilla. We like so many others, but those are our personal top. They introduced new round packaging earlier this year. They milk is also great. It is the only brand we buy. The chocolate milk is with the thick richness. Something to savor and lift your spirits. Of course they have their high quality heavy cream. There is always the produce and grocery goods that help the students and is great for a last minute need for those who live in the neighborhood. And with this new store, everything is significantly expanded and the prices are competitive with local grocery stores. This gem has now become Crown Jewels. Come by check out the new digs, have something from the grill and of course some fantastic cougar ice cream.

haven't been here in a hot minute and it's still good + a great deal! $7 kids cheeseburger meal (comes with small fries, a small drink, and a kids ice cream scoop) - the burger is honestly pretty standard burger size so it's filling LOL the small fries is actually quite a lot too. the kids scoop is a perfect amount and i loooove the graham canyon! the chocolate honeycomb is so good. they changed to self serve toppings from the last time i went here! pretty simple and easy although the burger patty is always inconsistent in size so last time i went, the patty was so small and took up only half of the bun but the recent time i went, it was fine haha

I told them my name was Kenobi and the worker understood the mission.

Told them my name was Kenobi and they understood the mission (see photo). However I was robbed of my additional patty on my burger that I ordered and was charged for. Great outdoor seating with heaters.

I'm not a huge fan of wrecking my insides during the week but the weekends it gets crazy! I hit up the BYU creamery and ordered "mint brownie", I'm a fan of the ice cream here, it feels and tastes like real ice cream should! There's only one other ice cream that has this feel to it (nothing has beaten it yet) so I'm always impressed with this ice cream. I love how soft the brownie chunks are and the smoothness of the ice cream! It's always packed on the weekends so you know it will be good! The place is always clean and the outside is taken care of too just in case there are no more seats inside! I'll come back here again, I definitely will say it's worth it!

The BYU Creamery on Ninth isn't just a place to grab a cone--it's a rite of passage, a comfort food pilgrimage, and honestly, one of the best ways to press pause on a busy day in Provo. Whether you're a local, a student, or just someone who appreciates a scoop of something special, this place delivers every time. I've been coming here since the 90s and now that I no longer live in the area, I make it a point to swing by each time I'm in town. The ice cream is rich, dense, and unapologetically creamy. You don't get that airy, over-churned stuff here. My personal go-tos are Graham Canyon (that golden standard) and Raspberry Cream Cheese, but you really can't go wrong. Even the classic vanilla tastes like it was made by someone who genuinely cares about vanilla. You taste the difference in every bite. There's just something wholesome about the whole vibe. Kids wide-eyed at the counter, couples sharing a sundae in the booth, students stocking up on groceries next door--it feels like the heart of BYU is somehow swirled into every scoop. The prices are beyond fair, the portions are generous, and the staff is always upbeat and friendly, even when the line's extremely long (which, let's be honest, it often is) Pro tip: Don't leave without grabbing a bottle of their chocolate milk. Seriously--amazing. It's creamy, velvety, and the kind of drink that makes you double-check the label just to make sure it's not secretly dessert. And if you're feeling a little adventurous (or just love things that taste delicious), try the Cookies & Cream chocolate milk. Mucho goodo. Still one of the best ice cream places in Provo. And a must stop for any first time visitors. Still worth every single calorie.

Clean and friendly. We enjoyed the double bacon cheeseburger and XX ice cream. The flavor selections are classic and may date from the 1950s. You can eat savory food at the bar seating next to the grill cooks or ice cream at the tables near the ice cream servers. With fries, remember to try the fry sauce! A Utah thing. When I reached the front of the ice cream line, they told me that the Bishop's Bash ice cream had sold out. It would be helpful to show that on the electronic display menu, by putting a red line through the name of the ice cream. Then customers will know not to order a sold-out menu item.

It's hard to beat this place for quick, good food on campus. The cheeseburger is really good, very well seasoned and I like the smashed on a griddle burger now and then. You top it yourself, so I was happy with mine. I would have liked mayo but they didn't have it. I got ice cream too, which is delicious. Chocolate chip cookie dough this time although all their flavors are excellent.

I thought it was also nice that they had dietary restriction friendly options for those who are keto, gluten free, or vegan. I actually ended up trying one of the sugar free options because the flavors sounded really yummy! I wasn't in the mood for a heavy loaded up cup, but those looked incredible too. I stopped by on a late Saturday afternoon and the space was pretty quiet and chill. The staff members were so incredibly kind and helpful when I was making my decision. They also made it really easy to transport back home. I ended up going with the sugar free butter toffee. This was the first time I've seen sf options at an ice cream shop and unfortunately it did not live up to my expectations. For the most part my experience with sugar free options has been great, but this was completely devoid of any flavor. I'm almost wondering if the sf flavors are a gimmick to make you feel like you're choosing, when in actuality they just whip up cold milk. Part of the experience is they make the ice cream in front of you, but aside from adding a little stevia I'm not sure what all went into my ice cream. When I got home and tried a scoop it just tasted like whole milk. I was super disappointed because I got a large! I'm torn between giving the sf option another shot or just writing it off forever. It was my first time trying Sub Zero, so I'm sad this was my first impression. Besides the flavorless taste, the texture is fun and almost reminds me a little of dippin dots. Overall, torn on my decision to try this place again or not. There's so many good dessert options around, so I guess we'll see. I still think it's a place you should try at least once, but order the sf options at your own risk!
