My friend invited me to check out the "upstairs bar next to roxy" and I'm glad I did. The decor is very artisty, trendy and hipster looking. The crowd was definitely mix of expats, tourists and locals. We were having a wonderful time until some douchebag decided to bug my friend and threw a beer at her. When I told the waitress about the situation, she let the bouncers know.Without any questions, he escorted the guy out. The whole staff was super nice they really took care of the situation calmly. American girl in Praha! I'll be honest, I have nothing to compare this to as it was the only club I visited in Prague. With that being said, it was a good time but didn't blow my mind. The club seems small but it has 3 different levels so you can really have whatever experience you're looking for. We weren't exactly in "rage-mode" so we didn't venture to the main dance floor. The music was decent (again, not sure what the norm is in Eastern Europe) and the drinks were hella cheap. Met a Russian guy there wearing a pac man shirt - really made my night. read more

I guess I'm a little late to the party... Maybe it was because I don't consider myself artsy or hipster-y enough but I was almost afraid to check out "that place next to Roxy". I've been going to Roxy since the medieval times it seems but never went to NOD up until this past Saturday. And I must say I'm kinda mad at myself for not checking it out earlier. Yes, NOD has that vibe (and reputation) of a place for edgy artists and hipsters but there are also other, totally ordinary but cool and nice people and quite a lot of foreigners too. I liked NOD's cozy atmosphere, nice staff and clean bathrooms. It's a great place for a catch-up with friend over a glass of wine as well as a bar to start or finish your night out or just have a coffee and check out the alternative paintings in its gallery. It has a great location in Dlouha street so if you're in the area, it's definitely worth it to check it out. I'm for sure going back to check the place during the day and try the famous coffee and home-made lemonades. read more

Fun place in Prague for dancing! Cover was around the equivalent of $7-8, music was good and loud, and there are tons of options- either watch from above to enjoy a view of the booth and the crowd below, or take the stairs down to get into the middle of the action. We were looking for Czech food but the place we found was full, so desperately hungry we passed by this place and decided to go in. The food was fine, and the ambiance was kind of cool and techno, but when we went to pay the bill the amount we had to pay ended up being different than what was listed on the menu. I don't know if the waitress just mixed things up, or what, but we decided not to make a big deal out of it since it was just a few more dollars. Maybe if we knew Czech we could've worked it out, but we probably won't come back. read more

I'm currently studying abroad in Prague from Manhattan and I've been to various clubs all around Prague. That being said, I would advise people to stay away from this club. The inside is mediocre and the music is so so but I have never had a worse experience with bouncers. They were so unbelievably rude to me and my friend. They yelled at us when we were trying to step outside for some air, barking that we would have to pay the cover fee again if we went outside. Even though we already had a stamp.. And as we were leaving, they grabbed my shoulder and physically assaulted me. It was horrific. Avoid. There are so many better places- try James Dean down the block or even Mecca. read more

Please do not go here. They ripped us off. On the menu for wine it says 25kc and we all got one glass. When they gave us the bill they doubled the charge automatically for no reason and made some bullshit up about how we got a glass... There was no other option on the menu. Then when we went to pay she waitress cheated us and pocketed an extra 100kc and didn't return it to us. We called her out on it and she gave us a lot of attitude. After 5 mins she was like my manager is coming. He never came and her coworker came and said the video cameras weren't working. Such bullshit. Then they proceeded jeering from the bar and saying go home. Such rude and inconsiderate people. If you go here you will be cheated of ur money so stay away!! Far far away. read more

Hipster cafe, that is hosting small exhibitions and DJ's evenings or interesting lectures (for example about the psychology). Great place to chill out or play games that are available for free every Sunday. If you are hungry, don't be afraid to eat there, they cook surprisingly delicious food - pork tenderloin is a must-try! ;) read more

Possibly the oldest club in Prague. Reconstructed after floods but kept its slightly scruffy image and great laid back feel. Very central and interesting. If you choose wisely in terms of what gig, DJ you are going to see you'll have a great time. read more

Very nice modern bar right next to Roxy in ''Dlouhá'' street. There's also a gallery and a theater where you can see many interesting works of art. Prices of drinks are OK for this locality, bartenders are friendly and the overall atmosphere is great. read more

Do not come here. Horrible music, expensive and trashy people. Last night I was sexually assaulted as I was standing right next to the bouncer. I pushed the man off, clearly distressed and looked to the bouncer who saw the whole thing. He actually gave the man who assaulted me a high five and congratulated him. I have been in Prague for two months and go to the clubs a lot and Roxy is easily the worst one I have visited. read more

Honestly we had a great time at this club. It really was insanely fun. The reason I'm giving it one star is because of how creepy people were here and how ridiculously rude the staff was. Men constantly sexually harass women here and the security team, and any of the rest of the staff for that matter, does nothing to intervene; even after they've been specifically asked for help. Also, there is a policy that if you lose a ticket for coat check, you have to stay until the club closes and everyone else has already picked up their things to get a coat that's been left behind. The club doesn't close until 5am, so god forbid you lose a ticket and end up here all night like us. Here's the thing - we handed them 2 tickets. The staff acted like it never happened and only gave us back one coat, and yelled at my friend and a group of guys who tried to help us for a while. We ended up sitting in this club until past 5am - absolutely ridiculous. When my friend asked a bartender to intervene on her behalf, he told her she'd have to blow him for him to help. Absolutely disgusting and unprofessional. Huge shame because we had so much fun dancing beforehand, but I would never recommend this club to anyone visiting Prague.
