Her photography speaks for itself--fresh, unique, an ode to a bygone era. She was able to capture the unspoken, and that alone holds great significance. While capturing our wedding day was of great importance to my husband and I, we weren't well versed in wedding-photography...at all. We knew Shannon was professional, and we allowed her to direct us, and what she needed of us. She knows exactly what she has to do and when she has to do it (If you have a wedding planner or day-of planner, she can coordinate with him/her as well). A huge thanks to Shannon for thinking outside the norm and capturing our vision, even before we knew what that vision was. If she has an idea, she runs with it. I must commend her on simply taking charge and shooting what she needed to shoot (simple things like rings, flowers, vintage handbags, etc.). The afternoon of our wedding day, I remember standing in the foyer of the house we were living in. Shannon walked in, said her "hello's" and started looking for places to shoot. While we were getting ready, she asked for particular sentimental items of mine and photographed them. I would have never thought to capture such beautiful emotion, and she did it with ease. We are beyond thankful for the memories Shannon has gifted us. If there's anything more I could have asked, it would have been more time with her and her camera. However, time flies when you're so blissfully happy, and there's nothing about that I would have changed.

The only downside was all the aunts and uncles and cousins who kept getting into the shot - we probably would have had 1000 awesome pictures instead of just 600 awesome ones. Can't recommend these two highly enough. If you're getting married and you want some awesome photos, they will do you right. We were even more ecstatic when we finally got to meet and work with them. Cindy was very easy to communicate with and very open to learning about us and our relationship, which made working together so much more fun and personable! After our shoot, we all went to coffee together and talked about the struggles and blessings of being a part of the LGBTQ+ community. Cindy is a phenomenal photographer (one of our engagement photos even won her an award!!), but she is so much more than that. She is worth giving your money to. We originally hired Cindy to do our engagement photo session only, since we were having a…read moredestination wedding. Cindy was patient and persistent in scheduling our photo shoot around our very hectic lives. As a joke, my fiance suggested we do the shoot at a mud run we had entered. Cindy loved the idea and ran with it! The pictures of us, covered in mud, are better than most people's pictures where they are clean and beautiful in Piedmont Park. Because we loved the pictures that Cindy did for our engagement session, we opted to fly her to Mexico with us to shoot our wedding as well! Again, Cindy's shots were amazing. I wish we had known ahead of time what to expect from our Mayan ceremony, but even going in completely unprepared for what was to occur (due to a language barrier) Cindy was still able to get all the important shots! Cindy and Sharon truly became part of our family and we loved having them with us. When we came home, Cindy put together the most amazing album for us. (This may border on TMI but this was my third wedding however it was the first time I got the professional wedding album.) Cindy removes the overwhelming project of sorting through the thousands of great shots and arranges them for you with an artistic eye. The one thing I would recommend is being prepared for the album upgrade, you'll want more than the standard 30 pages as you will have too many amazing photos to choose from. This review comes from a few perspectives, that hopefully some of you can relate to…read more.. 1. I absolutely love taking photos, but can count on one hand the few I actually like of myself. 2. Before this year, I had no idea what boudoir was, let alone knew how to model for it. One thing was for sure though, I could have NEVER imagined myself doing something as spontaneous as this. 3. If I were to do it, I was just about certain that I'd be the exception when it came down to the flawless photos she took. The beautiful models on the website probably were used to it, had perfect bodies for it, and were confident enough to pull it off. Not quite sure I could fit in that category either. The Details... A friend of a friend suggested that I did a boudoir shoot for my fiance as his wedding day groom's gift. Truthfully, I was getting a bit desperate to find something for him that I knew without a doubt he would appreciate. I began searching for a photographer with a good reputation and wanted to be especially sure that they were someone I could trust (since this was such a vulnerable situation). A quick search led me to Meagan and her amazing work. I figured it wouldn't hurt to at least inquire about it. Minutes later, and I mean minutes, she responded through email expressing her excitement for my interest. I'll go ahead and put it out there- her personality through email is spot on for how she is in person. She is in this business for one reason- to make women feel beautiful, confident, sexy, and proud of who they are. Trust me when I say that this is genuinely her passion and the sole purpose of why she does this. Between the time I booked and the shoot, we exchanged several emails and phone calls to answer any questions and ensure that I felt comfortable before I even walked in the door. When it was finally time for my session, I was in the midst of finalizing wedding plans, a bit frazzled, and more unorganized than ever. I literally brought everything I owned (not having any idea what to expect) and forgot the few things I actually needed, like my wedding veil. While I was getting my hair and makeup done, Meagan actually ran to her house and brought her veil for me to use so that I could get the photos I was really wanting. Also, being days away from my postponed lingerie shower, I was limited on my nicer lingerie, so she actually lent me a few things during the shoot. If you read her blog, she describes in great detail how the entire experience will be, down to the day after when you may be sore (not going to lie, I totally was). By the end of the day, you'll walk away feeling like you were just catching up with an old friend. My Overall Opinions... Meagan showed genuine interest in me, and made it her primary goal to use this photo shoot as a celebration of who I am. Such a small detail, but this made a huge impact on the overall experience. During the reveal, I couldn't believe the photos were of me. She captured so many corners of my personality, some that only my husband recognized. It's not all 'sexy poses'. She really puts thought, care, even science into figuring out how to bring out the real you in all atmospheres so that your photos are personal and unique. The biggest deciding factor and what I will pass on as the most important point, is the priceless souvenir- feeling so much more at peace with who you are as a woman.
