I first heard about Royal Affairs Ballroom through a friend who hosted her stepdaughter's quinceañera there. I met with David in July 2024, and even though my wedding wasn't until April 2026, he made himself incredibly available throughout that entire time. Whether it was meeting in person, texting, or chatting over the phone, David was always there to answer the many questions that arose during our extensive wedding planning. He was so easy to work with, exceptionally thorough with information, and even provided great suggestions along the way. Additionally, Irene's Bakery--the bakery the venue partners with--was fantastic! The cake was delicious and delivered right on time. We also worked with DJ Ivan, who did an amazing job! He executed our timeline perfectly and played exactly the songs I had requested. On the day of the wedding, our reception went incredibly smoothly. The room was set up exactly according to the floor plan we had discussed. There was plenty of staff on hand, ensuring that both the head table and every guest table were well taken care of. Everyone was attentive and brought a wonderful, positive energy to the evening. As both the bride and the planner of my own wedding, I intentionally tried to keep things relatively simple--and even so, everything turned out absolutely beautifully. If possible, I would recommend David and the Royal Affair Ballroom 200% to anyone planning a wedding or other special event. We've had 2 weddings at this location and David and his staff were beyond stellar. From our first meetings, until the night of the event, David and the staff stayed in contact with us. We really never had to worry about anything. If we asked David for something special - example, daughter loves Dr. Pepper - it was there. I wish I had taken a picture of the Dr. Pepper bottles on the bar. Still makes me smile when I think about it. Our last wedding was on December 14, 2024. I was nervous about this time frame due to private parties and other weddings. With this date, and other special events happening at Royal Affairs, I was concerned with setup time as I, mother of the bride, was the setup team. David worked with the schedule of other parties, as well as our availability, and made it possible for us to setup before the wedding rehearsal. We got the much-needed rehearsal, and my daughter got a first look at the decorated venue. She was very VERY happy. The day of the event, everything was perfect when we walked in. We were able to get into the Ballroom early for dressing, pictures, etc. Timing was never an issue as, we spoke with David beforehand and he made everything come together for us. EXCELLENT experience tonight. Top notch. David Huerta took care of us in every way and was very accommodating, as was his staff. This was the first time I had used the venue and it was for a charity event, raising money for scholarships. It was successful in every way. When it was evident that a lot of folks were RSVPing at the last minute, David kept a cool head and got more chairs through a reliable contact of his (and I'm talking on ultra-short notice). Temp adjustments to the venue? No prob. Rearrange this or that last-minute. No prob. Coordinate with caterer? Easy. We went back and forth leading up to the event, working out details, and it all came together perfectly. I would definitely recommend Royal Affairs Ballroom and will keep them on my short list of venues. Spacious, classy, versatile, good AV equipment, great staff... It was a great experience! Royal Affairs Ballroom helped me pulled off an epic event. I did a surprise wedding for my husband! We were married already, but he had never had a big wedding - but always wanted one. So, Royal Affairs not only helped me orchestrate the surprise, but they provided me with the best Wedding DJ, Jon Stricklan, who played an intricate role in helping me pull off this surprise!! We had our wedding reception at RA February 8, 2020. We live in Indianapolis and had to plan our wedding long distance. We worked primarily with David with organizing everything and it all turned out terrific! Not one hiccup or complaint (except I wish it hadn't go by so fast)! The food was delicious, the cakes from Irene's bakery were highly complimented, and the atmosphere Jon the DJ created for our evening with family and friends was phenomenal and just the vibe we wanted to have. We are pretty hands off given being out of state, so we let these amazing professionals with RA handle most of the evening and we were not disappointed. My son was coming home from Afghanistan and we needed an event venue that included catering to throw him a welcome home party. We worked with David Huerta at Royal Affairs and gave him our budget and number of guests. The event turned out great, the food was awesome, the tables had white table cloths. We held a school banquet at the Royal Affairs Ballroom this year. David and his staff were excellent to work with. Preplanning was done early, sample food tasting to select the menu was helpful and contracts were easy to get completed. On the day of the event, the venue was easy to work with and they set up all the tables, linens, and additional tables needed. We were able to come in and setup our decor items and be ready for the event. Everything went smoothly. I would highly recommend Royal Affairs for a wedding event or school banquet. read more

As a professional meeting planner wearing my white hat while planning a School Cheer Banquet (not for profit event/budget) we found a diamond mine. I can truly say David Huerta and Najam deliver,.. more than promised and everything you need. Royal Affairs is a classy venue and the minute you step through either entrance you are transported into luxury and elegance. Rarely have I been surprised with a vendor actually delivering more than expected but Royal Affairs does just that. The pricing is inclusive rather than nickel dime a la carte, great for any need corporate, wedding or family event. The food was perfect almost country club style, taste excellent for the size of the crowd, the decor swanky, and the bar setup can't be beaten. They have also assembled a group of other vendors making it a one stop shop for all your needs. Shout out to Fresh Spin and John Stricklan for all the AV equipment / and DJ announcing , he was so amazing many of our party goers wanted to host another party for the DJ alone. Fresh Spin is by far the best DJ I've used in the metroplex. The waitstaff is very professional, the beverage service was continual during the ceremony (a true plus). The affordability and pricing do not compute with the service and elegant decor of the venue. Run don't walk to book your next event, when word gets out this place will have no availability. We paid our wedding reception costs out over a period of time of which we REALLY appreciated from this venue. HOWEVER, our tasting involved not just my husband and I, but several VERY loud people who were there through the entirety of our tasting, hollering back and forth. Not once, did our venue contact go over and ask them to quiet down or inquire as to why they were there. Our venue contact, was incredibly rude to our DJ and gave him inaccurate information. On the day of our wedding, our venue contact pulled me, the BRIDE, away from pictures, to put her finger in my face and inform me that "our vendor, the photographer is very rude and I needed to get her under control." The issue? The uplighting that we paid for THROUGH the venue. Our venue contact stated, "Uplighting is not my responsibility" (even though we paid for it through the venue). The night of our wedding, the appetizer table wasn't put out at all. The wait staff picked up 3/4 full beers, wines, etc. We spent $1200 on alcohol for about 80 drinkers...... The cakes? The pieces were cut so large, there weren't any left over and several guests, as well as my husband and I, didn't get any. This IS a beautiful venue. However, interview your venue contact VERY WELL to insure that she will be working with and for you and not against you. read more
