Wonderful park with walking trails, a lovely little playground and covered areas for picnics! The kids and their cousins had a wonderful time. Something to keep in mind if you play soccer - the soccer fields have signs posted prominently that no unauthorized practice or games are permitted.

Very nice park area and green space. Props to Highland Village for making this what it is instead of developing it. I stopped by this place first to scope it as an event venue. It was such a beautiful day and I only got a glimpse of the whole place, so I came back with the kids later. First impressions: - It's nestled right into suburbia. - The parking lot is HUGE. I'd love to know its capacity. Much larger than expected. - It's brand new. They're still working on it, although the main paved path is complete. - Lot of green space. Some of this may contain other stuff later, but there's a lot of open grass for now. The first things you really see are a farmhouse-style building and a large pavilion. I believe both are available to rent for activities. While the pavilion looks huge, it actually doesn't have that many tables under it. You'd have to rent more tables and chairs to seat a large group under it. Next there are multiple paths leading away from the building and pavilion. A large pond with a large fountain serve as the centerpiece of the park. Behind the building is a splash pad, so that'll be super fun in the warmer months. Metal picnic tables are around the building (covered with overhead fans) and the splash pad (not covered). I mapped the paved loop around the pond and it's close to 0.4 miles (0.37-ish). More picnic tables are here and there, and they're clearly still installing stuff. There are lights around much of the path but not all yet. There's also a stash of youth soccer goals behind the pond, so I assume some small soccer fields will take up some of the green space. But who knows - maybe they're destined for another location. From 3 to 4 pm on a Monday, this place was pretty dead. But it won't last. I'll bet it's betta local hotspot soon! Very nice. Only need, and it seems like an obvious one: a playground. My son was very disappointed about that shortcoming. So... 4.5 stars. It'll be interesting to see the finishing touches and final product in a few months.

Visited this park for the first time today - it is beautiful! Lots of large oak trees and pine trees, nicely landscaped with native flora, and a large pond with aerator... lots of good spots all along the bank to fish as well as a large pier (looks to be a rgood fish habitat). Lots of open areas for activities as well as fenced splash/fountain area and very large pavilion. Also nice hike/bike trails (leading to new footbridge going across the lake) - several picnic tables along the trail with grills.

Lots of detailed meetings to go over everything. Day of is where the problems came up. We arrived on time and the place was a disaster. It looked like their was a wedding the night before, there was not. In the grooms sweet there was a spilled drink all over the floor, just left there. There were multiple silverware, plates, and cushions that were dirty. Bathrooms were so gross, toilets not flushed, and a mess everywhere. They had only one staff member on duty until 2/3pm so she was left to do everything herself. So the hours we added on for a relaxing morning, it was helping clean, vacuum, mop, wipe down, throw trash away, switch chairs and cushions out, dust, etc. During the wedding the caterers ran out of food!! Multiple tables did not have a protein and we had the right number show up. Our guests were served warm beer and wine because they didn't out enough in the fridge, our speciality bar we paid extra for was non existent, and they ran out of certain alcohols for our open bar. The only reason they are getting two stars is because they had one employee that did whatever she could to make it right, all with a smile on her face and our guests seem to have a great time aside from the disaster that occurred. Hopefully this will be the last time something like this happens, but sadly I have heard this happen multiple times here.

The staff of this hotel are great. Everyone I came into contact with were kind and helpful. Chante at the front desk is a literal angel. She was so sweet and kind. Treated us with such kindness upon check in and the entire time we were there. Cut to Friday (we checked in Tuesday afternoon), and I got a call from the general Manager, Aaron Oquendo (found your last name Aaron, you weren't getting off that easy). My dogs, who have been abruptly moved from their home with a yard and 2400 sq ft of space to a 400 sq ft space on the 3rd floor) barked when I would leave to take my kids to school and pick them up (20 minutes away). He proceeded to berate me on the phone, called it a "major situation" because a couple of guests complained (rightfully so) and told me I was "costing the hotel money" and told me we had to leave. Which, funny enough, we had TWO ROOMS booked for TWO WEEKS, so who cost who money? Anyway, after he informed me we were being kicked out he proceeded to lecture me and compare my situation to his flood situation from 2020 and he got bark collars and his dogs "never barked." It was the most unprofessional and rude conversation I've ever had in my life. I explained to him the situation and he couldn't have cared less. I completely understand that dogs barking can be very annoying. I work from home so I was there all day, and all night, and they did not bark consistently. Any time they did bark it was addressed immediately. He tried to argue with me that they barked during the day, to which I had to reiterate I worked from home and I was in the room with them all day, expect to get my kids. I ended up hanging up on him because he was so rude to me. When I saw him in the lobby and confronted him he was still evasive and dismissive. I asked for his last name and he said "we don't give out that information." Funny, because there were 4 business cards readily available for the Asst GM and 3 others, but yeah they don't give out that info. Got it. He told me "offered for me to stay" but no, he didn't. He said this to save face from the other guests in the lobby. Chante called me to smooth things over and said they didn't want me to leave, we just had to come to a solution which I was happy to do, however, there was zero chance I was staying somewhere where the General Manager treats the guests so poorly. I didn't feel comfortable staying there anymore. There were about 1000 different ways he could have approached the situation but he chose the worst possible way. We checked out that same afternoon and were forced to go back to our house that's unlivable until we found alternative accommodations (forcing us to move for the 3rd time in 5 days). I work in customer service for a living and I would never EVER speak to someone the way he spoke to me. Especially knowing the traumatic situation they were in. He shouldn't be in the position that he's in if this is the way he treats people. The moment I saw him that first day I felt in my gut he was an icky person, and turns out my gut instinct was right. He made me feel so small and humiliated. Aaron, a little grace, kindness and empathy go a long way. I would have gladly worked with you to find a way to help because I understand that other guests were unhappy. I don't let my dogs bark at my own home because it's annoying, so I can appreciate that the other guests were annoyed. The ONLY reason I would recommend this hotel is for Chante because she was an earth angel and truly cared about the experience and had empathy towards myself and my family. Give that woman a raise.

We chose the vendor package, which included the in-house photographer, and DJ among other things. While the convenience was appealing, several issues occurred throughout the day. To start, our centerpieces only covered 8 of the 10 tables. This may have been an oversight on my part, so I'm not placing blame on the venue for that. The ceremony itself was beautiful, but there was an issue with the music for my entrance. I chose the same song for both my bridesmaids and myself because there was a specific part of the song I wanted to walk down the aisle to. I had previously asked the wedding planner if the music could be looped if timing ran long, and she assured me it could. However, while waiting in the bridal suite with my dad, I heard the part of the song I was supposed to walk into come and go. I was later told that my niece and nephews took longer walking down the aisle. I completely understand that kids will be kids, but this was something we had discussed beforehand to prevent exactly this situation. Our photographer did a good job overall, though we are still waiting on the final photos. However, he forgot about the "first touch" moment I had planned with my husband until one of my bridesmaids reminded him. At the reception, there were multiple issues with the DJ. He switched the entrance songs for my husband, myself, and the bridal party. We used the provided app to carefully create our playlist, but it seemed like it was not followed closely. He also did not fade out the songs for our first dance or for my father-daughter dance as requested. Once open dancing started, he began playing songs that were not on our playlist and that many of our guests did not recognize. Overall, he seemed unprepared. As for the wedding planner, she was helpful during the planning process but did not seem organized on the actual wedding day. We had arranged for a coffee cart during cocktail hour. When the barista finished for the evening, he prepared a bag with coffee items for my husband and me for the next day and said he would give it to the wedding planner. However, the wedding planner left once dancing began. When we were leaving, we remembered the coffee and asked my mom to retrieve it, but she couldn't find the coordinator to ask about it. If one or two small things had gone wrong, it would have been easier to overlook. But the number of mistakes throughout the day left a very disappointing impression for both my husband and me. If you are looking strictly for a beautiful venue, Aristide is stunning. However, based on our experience, I would not recommend purchasing the vendor package, as we did not feel that our plans were executed with the attention to detail we expected.
