Facility was easy to find by the airport and once there, the interaction was fast and smooth!! Everyone I encountered was extremely friendly and pleasant! And they did all the 'heavy lifting'! I kindly told the representative that I did not want to provide my information yet but I did want a quote. The gentleman told me that he had better things to do than to chase down potential customers and if I could not give him my information that he could not give me a quote, then he hung up. I called back and got Mike on the phone. Mike asked for generic information which I provided and asked if I currently had a service and I advised that yes we did (Shred-It) and he asked what we paid. I let him know we paid $40 for two bins every eight weeks. He said that he could not beat that quote. I said well I am still interested in knowing the cost of the service and he told me he couldn't do that and hung up on me! When I called back again I got a manager and she took no ownership of what had happened and did not apologize; however, she then wanted to provide me of a service quote! But hey, there are several within a short drive. Which is good, because my late lamented 2-door had, among other things, serious overheating issues. I figured it had a 15 minute drive left in it. And we made it- barely. This is a scrapyard more than a junkyard. So it ain't pretty. But as these things go, it's pretty good. Service was great- everyone I dealt with was friendly and patient. The lady at the scale even sensed my feelings for the car and asked if I needed a minute to say goodbye. They gave me a good price, and walked me through what I needed to do since it had been awhile since I scrapped one. Getting here right now is complicated, but once the work on 17th is finished it'll be easy. Be careful of people pushing loads of scrap metal along the road. If you're bringing a car, head straight back to the scales beside the trailer. For scrap metal, turn left and wait outside the building.
