I have never encountered a more unpleasant store. The rudest staff at this location. There was a tall, bald, headed male that was actually complaining about how long the line was and how he hated Amazon returns. I had a package that literally needed one strip of tape and the other employer, a woman, refused to do it unless I bought a $5 roll from them. I went to a UPS down the road. They didn't question it one bit. They took it from me, taped it up and were super friendly. read more

This is a great little UPS store and glad we have one in the downtown area. Parking is the only downside here. I drove around the area several times and could find any street parking. Ended up parking a bit away and just walking down to the store. Today's visit was for a package pickup. I had ordered an item and chose to have it delivered to the closest UPS Access Point location. Service was friendly and pretty quick on the pickup process as there was one person in front of me. There was no cost for the delivery here or hold. I have shipped many packages from this location in the Short North and love that you can send packages here for pick up if needed. read more

I never thought I'd say this about a UPS store but I literally don't mind going because I know that when I walk through the doors here, the experience will be lovely. I can't speak highly enough of staff lately. I've been visiting this specific location for over seven years now and the last year to six months or so, the team there is phenomenal. Super friendly, always takes care of things swiftly, very patient, all the things. They keep the space clean and even when there's mountains of packages, it appears organized. The parking out front isn't free but with how quickly I can run in and out, I never have to put any money on the meter. If UPS corporate ever reads this, give the team here a raise - they deserve it. read more

Every time I've come into this UPS Store the same young man at the front desk has been rude and unprofessional. Today I brought in two boxes that needed to be taped shut. Instead of offering a quick piece of tape, he charged me five dollars just to tape one box. I ended up buying a full roll of tape, used three pieces, and left the rest for other customers. This is not a one-time issue -- his attitude and lack of basic customer service have been consistent on every visit. read more

The service sucked. I walked in with a preprinted label to return something. The person working forced me to buy a roll of tape insisted on me doing it myself after I asked for help. Was making fun of me and walked away before I finished taping the box. He was rude arrogant and made me feel worthless. I have never been treated worse as a paying customer. AVOID. SLIMY. FRAUD. SCAM. Ordered wine delivered to my house. Three times issued a "failed delivery attempt" even though I was home every time and wine was never attempted to be delivered! Paid again for a re-attempt. AGAIN LIED and never attempted to deliver. Was given the option of picking it up at a UPS location so I picked this one. Went to pick it up, which is giant inconvenience to me!!! This had now been drawn out three weeks, lies and lies about "attempted deliveries." The employee wasn't able to do what I asked (get a quick quote on a shipping price for my package) and took too much time trying to set a profile up for me and asking for a whole form full of information. I went to the next closest UPS and they gave me a quote that was even less than my quote from this location and it took 30 seconds and I didn't have to provide all of my information. I recently had a situation where I had an extremely large package that needed to be returned to Amazon. I usually return Amazon pkgs using Whole Foods however that was not an option with this return. One return option available was using UPS. I had multiple questions for UPS but did not think of all of them before calling and I called UPS store1511 (5th Ave, Columbus, OH store) and talked with Shawn Maurer 3 different times. I should have prepared and ask all my questions in one call - but Shawn was very polite and did not make me feel like I was a nuisance (which I was). He was so helpful and told me to bring my pkg in and he would build a box for the extreme size I needed. When I got there the store was very busy, a customer helped me get my return item into the store and Shawn and his staff were very friendly and quick to get to me and help me get this huge Amazon return boxed up and my return processed. I was in and out of the store in 15-20 minutes. I highly recommend using UPS for mailing especially the 5th Ave Columbus store. Shawn-I'll be back. Thanks. read more

UPS here should stand for Un Professional Service with this location. Preparing for move-in to Ohio State, we had Amazon ship a TV to the hotel as we couldn't fly with it. We decided it wasn't the size we wanted to we brought it to the UPS store and they printed out a label that I shared with the guy working with the return code for Amazon. Easy enough, right? I then got a call from the hotel as the UPS store shipped it to them, instead. No problem, right? Nope, the hotel manager took it back to the UPS store to ship it either back to Amazon or back to me. They wouldn't do it without charging her. I talked to the guy on the phone who said it wasn't their mistake (it was) and they sent the hotel manager back to the hotel with the TV. Why do your drivers never use the call boxes available at secure buildings? About 50% of my packages go straight to this store without the drivers ever even trying to call. A slip is left without any attempt. It's incredibly frustrating to make so many trips to a store when I pay to have items DELIVERED. read more

Since my last review, the UPS store is under new management which has led me to update it. The change in management was sorely needed and I am completely impressed by the new staff. They are extremely helpful and polite. I've visited them at least 6-7 times in the last month and each experience has been great! This UPS store is ... terrible. Poor service, inefficient, and overpriced. We received business mail at this location for years before throwing in the towel due to bad service. The weekend hours were a little restrictive if we had a package to pick up. The service was very uneven and often poor. One time we needed to renew our box and stood in line for over half an hour -- first watching while the employee inefficiently shipped 5 small packages for the customer before us, then she didn't know how to renew our box, so we waited and waited and she made several trips to the back before finally figuring it out. By then there were 6 people in line and someone had even left because the wait had become so long. The worst was when we received mail that had been so mishandled that the bottom of the envelope had been torn open and some of the contents were missing. Seriously, you may not receive your mail intact if you have it sent to this UPS store. One caveat - there was one employee was who was very competent. If you get him to help you out, you're golden. If not ... We have had enough negative experiences that we will never use this UPS store again. read more

My original, simple review of the Short North UPS Store is still entirely accurate, but I've had a recent experience that warrants an update. Our new TV broke, and we had to find a way to ship it back to the manufacturer. This sounds fairly easy, right? Well, guess again! Nobody in Columbus seems to be abe to help package a TV for shipping. First, we tried the FedEx Office on Kenny Road because they told me on the phone that they could help me get it ready to be shipped. But, alas, those bitches lied to me after we drove the TV all the way from Bexley to Kenny Road. But I digress. Then, we tried finding a box so that we could just package the tele ourselves. Yeah, nobody has those boxes. Except Uhaul - for $90. And we would have still had to pay for packing materials and figure out how to package the damn thing. And then, I had a stroke of genius. I remembered how insanely friendly and helpful Bobbi and crew were at the Short North UPS Store! When I lived across the street, they would help me do everything - from printing resumes to shipping weird packages. So, I called up Bobbi, and she said she'd be glad to help us! Including the box and the professional packing, our total came to $60. Oh, and the uber-friendly guy working there even loaded the TV in our car! Talk about amazing customer service! The Short North UPS Store really can do it all! Even if the Short North is out of your way, I promise the trip is well worth it! read more

I hate to echo what's already been said, but Bobbi and the rest of the staff at this shop set the bar high for customer service. So kind, knowledgable, and genuinely interested in doing a good job. Whether I'm simply dropping off pre-paid or need something packaged and sent, this shop does it all efficiently and professionally. Usually on the side street around the corner, there's plenty of metered parking and often a meter with time still left on it. read more

Amazing. You bring in whatever you want to ship, toss it on a scale, the staff weighs and measures it and picks out a box. They pack it up while you pay. It all took less than 10 minutes and only cost $20 to ship an 11-pound laptop to Pittsburgh using the 2-day service. That included an extra $100 of insurance - the first $100 is included, then it's $1.50 per additional $100 of insurance. And the best part? My package reached the destination in less than 24 hours! I'm thrilled and will definitely be using the UPS Store more often. read more

I normally wouldn't write a review for a UPS store but this is the best one I've been to! Bobbi is seriously the nicest person ever and definitely not in a "fake nice so I can get your money" way. I had a mailbox here for a couple years and she was always friendly and helpful. After I stopped using the mailbox, I typically only come in a couple times a year to drop off Zappos/Amazon returns but she always remembers my name and treats me like I'm an old friend! That may not seem like a huge deal but I really appreciate some genuineness in the midst of all the impersonal customer service that occurs. read more

I've been using the UPS Store for a business mailbox for the past two years and couldn't ask for better customer service! Everyone in there is always extremely cheerful and courteous. They bend over backwards to help you with mailing a package to making sure that your mailbox is checked regularly by sending little emails. Hard to find parking during dinner time! They should have a reserved spot out front for drop offs. I ended up parking illegally (in a cross walk), with my flashers on, and sprinted into the store hoping I wasn't ticketed. I drove around for 15 minutes beforehand trying to find parking but it was non-existent. Far as I could tell, it was all valet in the area. read more
