Not the safest gas station to go to. There are a lot of homeless loitering in the area and a bunch of trash littered around. Don't be surprised if, as you're pumping gas, someone asks you for money. Sometimes some of the pumps don't work. There is a tire pump, but there's no nozzle because someone stole it. read more

Typical Royal Farms, the closest location to my place. It recently underwent a huge gas pump renovation. Smells like heavenly chicken inside, staff is friendly and helpful enough, but I'm unimpressed by their lack of drink options - they carry THE most basic Coke products which is unacceptable. The homeless folks begging outside are a nuisance. read more

My family and I always stop at this Royal Farms before our road trips. My past experiences were not the best. However this time the customer service was amazing! The young guy Troy/Terrell (I should have wrote his name down) at the register helped check me out. He was patient with me not wanting to use the self check out. (I had too much stuff lol) He had a smile on his face and even offered to have someone help me take my stuff to the car because he knew my hands were full. Talk about above and beyond! Frankly, I'm surprised how ROFO Corporate doesn't come down on stores like this one...literally across the street from the MD Lottery, for God sakes. But, I try to be a good boy and let it all roll off my back...I've had their chicken a number of times around lunchtime, and it's always fresh and hot and juicy and good. Nothing to rant or rave about. It was a quick stop before we hit the road. I just picked up a water and a slushy drink. One of the other riders had to use the bathroom. The store was organized. The cashier was polite. Good place to stop before you hit the highway. read more

If I could rate 0 stars, I would. My husband and I frequent this location because it's close to our house, however, every time we go there, it seems like there's always an issue. The last two times we went there, they were out of chicken salad. How fucking hard is it to make chicken salad? Anyway, they failed to tell my husband they were out of chicken salad as he had already paid. The cashier then had the nerve to say "the last shift didn't make any"... ok so why can't the current shift make some? The cashiers never have any sense of urgency so there is always a line out the door. On top of that, there is an uncomfortable feeling just going in and out of the door as there is always someone begging for money. So you mean to tell me that someone can't make them leave? Oh that's right I forgot.... staff is too lazy to add chicken and mayonnaise together to make chicken salad, of course they can't walk outside to tell the beggars go get lost. If only I could put 0 stars. This place...where do I begin? Let's see...how about the customer service. One word: ghetto. Another word: tacky. There isn't one person that works there that is professional or even courteous. They scream across the store to each other. The manager might as well have been a bystander instead of an employee. I ordered a macaroni salad to go with my sandwich, but when I received the salad it was just enough to have two forkfuls worth so it wasn't worth the money. When I went to the counter to get my money back the cashier screamed across the store to her manager to ask if it was okay to give me my money back....when would it not be okay to give a customer their refund for merchandise they didn't receive?! Then she got smart with me and any little bit of customer service that she did have (VERY LITTLE) was gone. They made me feel like I was wrong for asking for a refund. As I walked out the store I heard all of the cashiers laughing behind my back. It was a horrible experience and I will never go back. I encourage you to find some place else to go. read more

Stopped Thursday , 12/22/2016 to pick up 4 Chicken Breasts, at a cost of $14.86, paid them , picked them up all 4 were in a single box, then I noticed they had 2 pans of breasts, 1 was all puny, the other were jumbo, needless to say all mine were puny, to say I was disappointed, is an understatement,, truly they were saving , the bigger ones , for Friends, Family , or Themselves, I could've gotten at least 2 rotisserie chickens for that price, someone in management, should abolish this practice, won't be hurrying back! read more

Good location for cheap gas, at the corner of Monroe and Washington, across from Montgomery Park. However, the service can be uneven, with long lines at the cash register, and although the store discourages panhandlers, they do seem to attract folks who want a handout. Worst Royal Farms around. Rude staff, either always have an attitude or talking with their friends. I've overheard them talking about customers. Never have anything stocked. Won't close off non working pumps, so you literally have to park & come in to pay for gas, only to tell you to pick a different pump & come back in‍ Food is rarely fresh. It's always filthy. Just seems like nobody cares. ALWAYS people out front begging, & I try not to judge, but it just gets exhausting with all of them. Then the guilt trips. I would give 0 stars if possible, I went in this store to grab something to eat.... The entire floor feels like you're walking on glue and has never been actually mopped correctly. They have a large amount of fly's around the food and coffee area. Manager was openly having an disagreement on the phone with a customer and sounded extremely rude. read more

About two months ago, I decided to give the Royal Farm Chicken Dinners a try. They were delicious . . . until the poor customer service turned me off. Employees serving food display negative attitudes. They yell at customers across the store. They wear filthy uniforms to work. They are frequently short on chicken parts since they seldom cook enough. They eat the same food they're serving you . . . as they're serving you! The last meal I brought there gave me an upset stomach. Although, It could've be that I saw the young lady that served my Chicken Dinner take off her shoe, remove something from it, toss it in the trash, and then wash her hands with soap and water. I should've gotten a refund then and there and left . . . but didn't. The images of poor customer service haunt me. Buying gas will be the only thing I ever do at Royal Farm again--and I can do that from the pump! read more
