My Family and I frequently go to this gas station and our last visit made us extremely uncomfortable. We felt singled out, discriminated against, and racially profiled for our skin color while being followed the entire time while shopping. I made an effort to get the name of the employee that was following us but they walked out of the building before I could ask or look at the name badge ... how convenient..... Before my attempt to get the name of the employee following my sister and I, while we were checking out at the self check out the employee at the register overheard us complaining about this uncomfortable encounter, instead of apologizing about the issue an going to a manager. The other employee left the register to then pull his colleague(Chris) to the back to tell them that we were complaining about how uncomfortable they were making us. Which is why Chris avoided me a left the store when I returned for for their name. I was able to ask another employee for the name of the person that was following us in the store and they were happy to let me know their name is Chris. I do not recommend coming to this store at all. No one is ever at the register if you want to bye something from behind the counter and staff seem to be very prejudiced against those who are ethnically diverse. With the exception of some not all. We've been to this Royal Farms a bunch of times. It's usually quick to get in and out of there. Love the hash browns at Royal Farms... don't tell Wawa but I like them a lot better! read more

If you are from any Metropolitan area, you're automatically very skeptical to order, let alone eat chicken from a gas station. Where you've eat at places growing up that made a name for chicken like Pudgies and Popeyes, to more luxurious places like Hells Chicken, Momofuku, and Perry St., the last place you are looking at to eat is a gas station. Of course, it's a gas station, so you walk in and on your right and there is the convenience part where you get your gas, snacks, etc. The other side on your left is all about getting your chicken, potato wedges, etc. I kid you not, this was the most freakin' delicious chicken! The skin was crispy and the meat itself was not dry. The fries were well seasoned and very large potato wedges. All for an affordable price, with drink included. The proven life lesson learned: Never judge a book by it's cover. read more

Mama says I come here for the chicken! I can't tell you what else happens at royal farms so this 5 star rating is for the chicken and taters. They have a 5 dollar deal now which gives you two pieces of chicken.. even white meat..5 wedges and a roll. You cannot beat that. The chicken has always been fresh, well seasoned, and juicy! I ways like going to royal farms for they gas. The gas prices are cheaper than most but not as cheap as Wawa's gas. I love their coffee and my nephew can't wait to get their for the chicken. Not all Royal farms has the chicken but you much try some, its really good. read more

Their food is amazing. Although I've moved, I'm still impartial to Royal Farms despite everyone's claim about Wawa. My argument is that Wawa can't touch the best side dish which of course is the western fries. Gas station chicken at its finest and pretty much beats out any other fried chicken establishment. I went for breakfast and got a chicken sandwich on a croissant. Although my sandwich was cooked perfectly (the egg even had a good texture), the people working behind the sandwich counter were stressed and screaming at eachother. I got gas here this morning, then needed to run inside to grab something. One of the employees was right at the door, about 6 inches away from it, smoking a cigarette and breathed out a big puff of smoke in my face just as I got to the door. I went to the counter to ask if they had a certain product, and no one was at the counter. The employee who was smoking outside mumbled something, shook her head, and came back into the store with her cigarette in her hand. She went behind the counter and said "what?!" to me. I asked if they had the product and she said "no." Her attitude was THE WORST I have ever seen of any employee anywhere. There needs to be a smoking area that is VERY far away from the front door as well, and they need to hire employees who will treat customers like they aren't ruining their day just by existing. read more

Definitely go to Wawa if you want food gas on the other hand tends to last longer in my car anyway but the food and service .. Terrible ..
