Was waiting on chicken go like 20 minutes girl on the phone right there every one was standing around on phone this uncalled for

I am a fried chicken connoisseur. And I had never heard of Royal Farms until someone mentioned it. Gas station fried chicken??? I happened to be in the area so I stopped in. This is what I got for $15 - a breast, a wing and a leg, plus a small side each of mashed potatoes, mac and cheese, and a small bottle of diet Pepsi. Pricy compared to other fried chicken franchises, for sure. Everything was actually really good except for the mashed potatoes, which I hated - they were whipped, and the gravy had an odd, peppery taste to it that I didn't really like. The chicken was absolutely glorious - maybe I came in at the right time, but I had no wait and the chicken was hot, fresh and so so good. Juicy without being greasy. And the breading was amazing. Really enjoyed it and will be back, though next time I'll skip the potatoes and stick with the other stuff.

I stopped in to try their chicken but it look like it was sitting for hours and even the doors are filthy. I passed

Nevermind, I went back and it wasn't fresh the second time. It was stale. Sad that I really loved it the first time.

It's from Maryland and there are a few locations primarily in South Jersey. One of the "you must check out" recommenders also told me "you gotta get the fried chicken!!!" (yes, with multiple exclamation points). Apparently, it's known for made-to-order fried chicken. Fresh, real chicken, fried to perfection. (Real Fresh. Real Fast. Real Green.) I forgot my lunch one day and decided to venture out and see if it lives up to the hype. Indeed, it does! I compare it to memories of fried chicken from Roy Rogers and KFC at their height of fried chicken goodness. Legit finger-licking good. The sides are killer also. Here's what I ordered: - Chicken 4pc dark meal $8.99 - RF Dip Chesapeake $1.75 - Waffle add on - $0.49 - Side of SM mac and Cheese $2.69 Not sure if this is a COVID/post-COVID thing, but you order everything over self-service kiosk screens. The convenience market section of the store also has these self-service kiosks. So I placed my food over by the food preparation area and took my slip that had a scan code on it, then I picked up a few things from the market aisles, then paid for everything at the self-checkout. Super easy and intuitive, but there are people there if you need help. Another customer was being assisted by a RF employee when I was there and they were nice and very patient. This was my first RF experience and it was a good one. Recommended.
