You know how you always wonder about a certain thing because it sounds gross but people claim that it's good? This is me with Pork Roll or Taylor Ham, depending on where you're from. I had the good luck to be in Pork Roll land and everyone suggested Nixons. This is a general store with a ton of cool niche items for purchase but at the back of the store you will find a very authentic deli. I, of course ordered the pork roll sandie with yellow mustard (which apparently is a must as I was advised). They weren't wrong! The meat is salty and fatty so the mustard cut the fattiness and saltiness perfectly. I think I'd pass on the cheese next time but that was my only qualm. It is delicious. I tried birch beer for the first time and it was like a creamy root beer, yum. I also got a fresh garlic pickle from a huge barrel and it was the best pickle I've ever had. I ate maybe half and accidentally left it in the car overnight and it went bad. I'm still sad about that. 10/10 highly recommend this place.

This visit was awesome!! We got a chicken cheese steak with onions and mushrooms, a regular cheese steak with bacon, onions and mushrooms. Both were awesome!! I couldn't eat half of it because their was so much meat, which is a good thing!!

Wow, why have I waited so long to try this place?!?! After a long morning hike on Atsion trail, we were starving so we unbuckled our belts and made extra room for an Italian Hoagie. A convenient touchscreen order in the back, with an option to build a custom sandwich. We just went with the classic Italian hoagie and it was great! A 12 inch was a perfect split for two. My only complaint is that the tomatoes were just placed on top, but we just scooped out some lettuce. The store has some of the coolest selection of sodas around. I never really drink soda, but had to try the Australian Ginger Beer. Amazing! Great deserts at the counter and plenty of extra treats/snacks to add with your meal. If your in town, this place is a must try! We will certainly be back again!

Not the same as what it use to be. Looks like they sold out. Cheesesteak wasn't the same and they no longer sell boost. Will not be back

The first time we walked in, it definitely caught us a little off guard (you'll understand once you see it), but it didn't take long for this place to completely win us over. Pro tip for first-timers: the front door has a mind of its own. It sticks pretty hard--probably some weird pressure thing--so you've got to pull hard to get in and push hard to get out. Like... commit to it. Once you're inside, though, it's all worth it. The food is consistently delicious, generously portioned, and very reasonably priced. Truly zero complaints--we've never had a bad meal here. And on top of that, they offer free local delivery, which is always a huge bonus. As you'd expect from a proper deli, the menu is massive--easily dozens and dozens of sandwich options--yet somehow the service is always fast, efficient, and friendly. Even on busy days, they keep things moving without making you feel rushed. And yes, even when I only stop in a handful of times a year just to play the lotto, they're still welcoming and upbeat. Overall, this place does an excellent job of giving you real value for your money. It's one of those no-frills, neighborhood spots that just gets it right--good food, fair prices, and reliable service. We're glad to have it nearby and will definitely keep coming back.

The last time we were there was when it was still Short Hills Deli, so we were surprised to see how much the interior was changed from the previous deli. We were seated and asked to be moved to a booth instead (no issues there) as the majority of the restaurant are wood tables and chairs. Server came over and took drink orders and answered our questions about the menu with a smile. We knew the sandwiches were HUGE, so we decided to split a sandwich (regular, not oversized). We ordered cheese to be added, but when the sandwich arrived, NO CHEESE. Our server disappeared at that moment, so we asked another server to bring us the missing item. It came cold, which cost this review one star. If the cheese was done right, it would be melted over the corned beef (extra lean, which costs extra). We did enjoy our lunch (sharing is the better option) and paid our bill. As we were leaving, we decided to grab a rye bread and some bagels to go. Young dude at the counter wasn't very friendly, but that didn't bother us. Finally, we did receive a couple of chocolate chip cookies in a bag with our check. They looked delicious, but we still haven't eaten them yet (they're in our refrigerator for another time). We would return again, even though we don't live in Cherry Hill.

The roast pork is unreal -- perfectly seasoned, incredibly tender, and honestly can't be topped. Every bite reminds you what a true Italian market is supposed to be. Everything here is done the right way, with quality ingredients and old‑school care. On top of that, the people are super nice, welcoming, and genuinely appreciative of their customers, which makes the experience even better. This place is a gem. Upon walking in the smell was phenomenal and I was excited ... but that excitement quickly faded as I saw pretty empty refrigerated cases and struggled to find a menu. Even after finding the menu it was absolutely underwhelming . My bf made up a sandwich he wanted to have them make and I decided to go with the roast beef sharp provolone and horseradish wrap but with an Italian roll instead of a wrap. The roll was about 6 hours away from being stale and I had to add my own balsamic glaze and roasted red peppers at home to give the sandwich some life. My bf enjoyed his sandwich way more than I did but did say it wasn't anywhere near as good as the market sandwiches were used to up north. Oh and the customer service was mid at best. There's no organization as it pertains to a line or ticket system so it's a little confusing too.
