The incident started with a sweet 16 that my family booked there. First of all, the bill was why to high for just a hall with no food or decorations. Not even an open bar was offered for the $5,000.00 price tag. There was a young lady when we walked I who was asked to make sure that invites were in hand and that wasn't the case. I had to ask her twice during the night to continue to do her job. The next gross level of horrible service came from the bartenders who not only didn't know how to mix a drink, they were to check IDs that according to them is their policy. I know of at least 3 family members who are not 21 who got drinks. This was discovered after the end of the night when one of our aunt's called to let me know that her 19 year old was intoxicated. If you think this is the end, please read on. At the end of the night the banquet hall manager explained that the liquor that we had purchased,. Over $600 worth needed to be inventoried so we would be able to take back the rest of our spirits until Monday when the inventory was completed. Well, Monday comes around and more than half of the alcohol that was left over was magically gone. I mean, how doea this happen? I asked my aunt that night where in the contract this was written and she said that it was the agreement that she signed. I asked her again a couple of days later and she still was reluctant bro let me see it because I knew that this was a horrible way to do business. I ask that anyone looking for a banquet hall and you find yourself stumbling across this "gem", look elsewhere. The place is dated, the restrooms were not clean, the staff is very disorganized, and their practices are worst of all. There are way more options out there.

Only constructive feedback we'd provide is around their client management cycle - we wish it was clearer to us sooner that she was our main point of contact - their transition of communication from Gretchen to Jim to Kate was slightly confusing. It also felt like the forms we had to fill out and send back were cumbersome and a repetitive, especially as compared to some of our other vendors, like our production company and photographer, where everything was electronic and super smooth.

Zam Zam Banquet Hall had it all! We rented the large room with the partition so that as the party went on, the parents could be present from a short distance and the children could enjoy the dance floor. It could not have worked out more perfect! Their decorations, incorporated with our Mardi Gras themed decor was picture perfection beautiful! It was chic, modern, hip and festive! The bathrooms were clean and the kitchen, albeit busy churning out food, was also clean. (I'm Serve-Safe Food Management certified, so these things really, really matter to me.) Our food was set up under a beautifully decorated lit-canopy as a (replenished) self serve buffet...and the kids really enjoyed that! We are a family that does not eat pork products, artificial colors, preservatives, in-organic meats, or (allergies) peanuts. That can be a nightmare for some places, however, Zam Zam, really worked efficiently to honor that! The food was beautiful, well seasoned, kept at appropriate temperatures, clean, and exactly as I requested. Since I am a bit anal-retentive...I was happily surprised! :-) The bar was perfectly tended by a guy named David. He was respectfully responsible to some of those tricksters trying to drink under 21! LOL!! Our DJ was really pleased with his stage set-up...which allowed him to play comfortably and happily. (important stuff...who knew!) The staff was great at checking in on him and ensuring he was fed and well watered. When it was time to wind down for cake, the staff did not miss a beat. They brought it out on our pre-planned Que, waited for all the speeches, hugs and kisses, and served it with the swiftness of Superman! The private party we had was wonderful! They have a fully stocked bar, the bathrooms are well maintained, and many tables to set our guests up with some food. The owners let us set up switch for the kids while the dancefloor came alive with all the grown ups.
