Their communication was excellent, and they kept the whole group engaged and comfortable throughout the tour. All three of them had awesome personalities and brought such great energy and vibes, which made the entire trip even more enjoyable. I'm already wanting to go back and bring my kids. Highly recommend this experience; it was fun, well-organized, and unforgettable thanks to such a great team!

Keep in mind that we were instructed to arrive 30 minutes early, so in total we were standing around for about an hour. They had also called us the day before and asked if we could move our tour time from noon to 1 PM. Looking back, agreeing to that change seems like it just resulted in us waiting even longer. On the zip lines, you have to brake yourself by grabbing the line with one of the gloves they provide. The gloves were old, worn-out welding gloves. I had to exchange mine three different times because they all had holes in them. Even my final pair still had a hole, but I was told it was fine. The zip lines themselves were okay. There was supposed to be a drop at the end, but apparently it wasn't open for the season yet, so instead we were slowly lowered down. As for the scenery, I honestly wasn't very impressed. The views felt fairly average to me and looked like a typical desert landscape. Considering the price, I expected something a lot more memorable. I've done a cheaper zip line course in Virginia that I found more fun, with better views and a better overall experience. The cherry on top was being accused of smoking marijuana because of a supposed smell and "glossy eyes." I have never smoked in my life, so that accusation was pretty frustrating and left a bad impression on what was already a disappointing experience. Overall, I felt this experience was a complete waste of money. Between the delays, worn-out equipment, missing attractions, and the accusation from staff, I honestly wish I had never booked it in the first place.

Sometimes things just work out for a reason…read more I originally booked my hot air balloon ride with another local company (who kept my friend and I in suspense about whether or not we actually had a reservation because they were waiting to see if more people would book their tour). We found Adventures Out West on Viator and were not only able to book with them right away, but also get an immediate confirmation for our reservation. The only frustrating thing is that when booking through Viator, it requires a minimum of 2 people in order to book the reservation. I'm normally a solo traveler but fortunately I had a friend who wanted to do this excursion as well... But something to keep in mind if you are a solo traveler. You may want to reach out to the company directly to see if you can book as a party of one. The meeting place is about an hour drive from Denver. My friend and I left before dawn and made it to the meeting point by sunrise. Everybody on the team was friendly, energetic and welcoming even at such an ungodly hour. On the ride over to the departure site, they gave us a quick overview of what to expect as well as a safety briefing then we waited for them to unpack and inflate the balloon. After about 45 minutes we were ready to go. I am glad that I did this trip with a friend because it's close quarters in the basket. The basket has several compartments that each hold two people, bus compartments for the fuel tanks and another for the pilot. It's barely enough space in the compartment to turn around, so if you're going by yourself you're going to get to know a stranger VERY well by the end of the ride. The ride itself was absolutely wonderful. It was a calm, breathtaking glide across Colorado Springs. We drifted over the Colorado Springs Airport and got to watch an airplane take off right in front of us. We were about 2,000 ft up, so we were also able to see some of the local wildlife running around as we floated. It was a beautifully peaceful ride. The ground team was supposed to meet us at our landing site but unfortunately they got stuck in a ditch (we could see them from the air). They radioed the pilot of the hot air balloon (T-Dogg) to let him know what was going on and he handled the experience like the consummate professional. Our 40-60 minute ride ended up being almost 2 hours while T-Dogg figured out where to land. He kept us informed of the situation, let us know what his plan was, and never at any time did we feel uncomfortable or unsafe. Ultimately we ended up landing in the driveway of the Pikes Peak outdoor gun club. It was an adventure for everyone involved, as members drove around our massive hot air balloon to enter or exit the venue, snapping pictures and video as they went. The landing was astonishingly gentle. I expected a much more jarring experience but we touched down so softly, then gently bounced a few inches off the ground before coming to a full stop. Another testament to T-Dogg's skill as a pilot. Unfortunately the ground crew was unable to get themselves unstuck, so the staff were able to coordinate ground transportation from another vehicle in their fleet: A modified Jeep that thankfully had space for all of us. We ride by the ditch where the ground team was stuck, picked up all of our items and then headed back to the meeting point where we were welcomed back with some wonderful refreshments including mini muffins and cinnamon rolls, fruit and cheese, as well as a champagne toast, which is an integral part of the hot air balloon experience so you don't want to miss that. This has been a bucket list item for me for a while and I cannot imagine having a better experience than I did with Adventures Out West.

We took a shuttle to a little hiking trail, got fitted with gear, went over safety and even had a little training zip we got to do to prepare. We had to walk across this crazy suspension bridge to access the last 2, which added to the thrill. Adrenaline was pumping through my body the entire time and it was such a fun experience! You end at 7 falls and can take a shuttle back to your car. The views were incredible and it's an amazing way to soak up the beauty of Colorado Springs. I would highly recommend zip lining here and highly recommend going with Elena and Kevin!

As we went thru the park we couldn't help but notice the Zip lines criss crossing the park. We kept hearing voices hooting and hollering in the air as they flew thru the air. It looked like so much fun I told my wife I wanted to do it. We were leaving for home the next day, but were able to book a 10 am "Woods" tour of 5 Zips. From start to finish, the experience was amazing. I had never been on a zipline and was a bit nervous. From the park looking up, the platforms looks so high and tiny perched on the edge of the canyon walls. The check in people at the Broadmoor were very pleasant and professional. My guides were Carl and Riley. They were very patient, encouraging and fun, They explained everything very well. You start out with a small practice zip to get you familiar with the process and then the Zips are progressive, from short to long. Words cannot express the fun and excitement of Zip Lining. The area is so beautiful. Being in the forest and looking down and around as you fly thru the air is something I will never forget. There was still a good bit of ice on the steam, which made the view even more special. Carl and Riley made what I had been nervous about into a fun, and adrenaline filled event. By Zip #5 (our highest and longest) I was comfortable and wished i had been able to book the Combo course of 10 Zips and 2 Suspension Bridges. I cant wait to go back and do the Combo course. This was Bucket list worthy, Definitely an experience of a lifetime

I was disappointed that the gift shop didn't carry 3XL shirts or sweatshirts. Large women and men love souvenirs too, and we're happy to spend money when the options fit! The food was just okay. I ordered the beef nachos -- the portion was huge and definitely shareable -- but they lacked flavor, and I only ate a few bites. Steve said his burger was fine but nothing to write home about. The highlight of our trip was the open‑air car, made even better by our host, Brett. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the canyon, pointed out landmarks, helped us spot bighorn sheep and deer, and took photos for anyone who asked -- always making sure the background was perfect. Thanks to him, we have beautiful memories captured from our ride. Be sure to tip Brett -- he absolutely deserves it!

I was so nervous walking in, but from the moment we arrived, every single staff member made us feel welcomed, safe, and supported. Our guide, Koa, was the perfect balance of fun, kind, and incredibly skilled. He guided us through the rapids with such confidence and ease while also making sure everyone felt safe and included. He checked in on us several times throughout and made sure we were having fun, asked us if we wanted to "spice it up" a bit or keep it mellow and just really let us know this was "our" trip and he's cater to what we wanted. I quickly found myself letting go of fear and enjoying the moment... something I didn't expect would happen. Koa's energy was contagious, and his calm, respectful nature made us feel like we were in the best hands possible. At one point on the river, another rafting company had a mishap and we had to pull over and wait for them to recover and get their riders back into the raft safely. Koa explained what had happened with total grace - no judgment, no gossip - just a calm and respectful explanation. He also spoke so kindly of his own coworkers and even the owner of Liquid Descent. You could tell he genuinely cares about the rafting community and takes pride in his work and LOVES his Liquid Descent family! Every employee we encountered was friendly, encouraging, and helpful - from getting us fitted with helmets and life jackets to cheering us on as we headed out. As someone who started out nervous, that kind of supportive vibe made a huge difference. They encouraged me, and they helped me push past my comfort zone in the best way possible. What a GREAT memory! We will remember this day not only for the thrill of the rapids, but for the kindness and heart of the people who guided us through it! There were some rapids that were very exciting, and the water was really cold, but it was funny for everyone else when I was getting soaked in the front. The water is COLD, but you get used to it pretty quickly. The rapids relaxed down in about 10 minutes, and it was a pretty smooth ride for the rest of journey. The total trip was about an hour and a half, which is a good time for younger kids. David was a great guide, and he was funny and entertaining, yet knowledgeable and passionate about many things adventure. He trained everyone in the raft the do-s and don't-s of rafting, and made sure everyone was prepared in case of emergency. He showed the techniques of how to maneuver the raft, and how to 'rescue' your buddy if they fell in. We had ages 7-57 in our group, and it was fun for everyone. If you are a beginner or have younger, more senior people in your group, I would suggest a level 1-2 experience. If you have a group of more confident, or medium-good physically fit people who like a bit more adventurous time, I would suggest a higher level of rapids. The rest of the staff in the office were very friendly, and the office and amenities were clean and organized. They had changing rooms, and clean guest bathrooms complete with showers if you so desire. They have free lockboxes for you to leave your keys or other valuables if you need. They offered picture packages, but allowed you to take whatever devices you wanted on the raft. They advise against it, and take no responsibility for your lost items, however, they did not prevent us from bringing them (we did not bring our devices).
