Interesting casual spot in Bergen. The burgers are good. Very relaxed atmosphere mostly frequented by locals. They have a large selection of Gin. I tried the local gin and tonic made in Bergen and it didn't disappoint! The staff are friendly and professional. If you like a burger that oozes a little fat into the bun and easily breaks away when you bite into it- this is the juicy hand-packed burger joint for you. We were guided to grab a menu and a seat and then order at the bar when we were ready. Considering it's counter service- everyone who helped us was very friendly and accommodating. We were offered samples of draft beers before making a commitment, and the bartender suggestions were on point for every suggestion. The burgers were definitely worth it. I had the BBQ burger and my partner had the Wellington. Both were excellent, especially when finished with some craft beer. The fries and onion rings needed a little more seasoning, but were great with the homemade ketchup. Biggest selection of craft gin I've seen in one place, with a great gin cocktail menu to match. Overall the food was good, not great. The drinks were par for the course. The decor was trendy, fun and interesting. But where they really earned the rating was my interaction with the manager. I'm not sure why she had a big stick up her butt (or maybe not big enough), but she was rather rude during the entire experience. I was taking pictures of the interior, because as I said, it was pretty a cool, and funky design. The manager rushed over and yelled out, "What do you think you're doing? You can't take pictures of me or my customers." I explained to her why I was taking photos, but I'm not sure that it mattered. Anyway, I ordered my bacon topped burger and tried to get a drink recommendation from the manager. This also proved to be extremely difficult. I ended up ordering a Gin and Tonic with an award winning Gin that is made in Norway... Or so I believe (she didn't really explain the connection well). The presentation of the meal was interesting and what I would expect from such a well designed place. The burger had excellent toppings of crisp bacon, Bleu cheese, and tomatoes. The burger was good but not spectacular. There was not much seasoning. In the end, I paid close to US$50 for an average burger, a decent drink, and tons of attitude. I would give it a 2.5 or 3 because of the design. In my attempt to find a little taste of Norwegian culture through good, I was instead just left with a bad taste in my mouth. I had heard many great things about this place ever since it opened, and I'm happy to say it lived up to expectations. We came on a Monday night (in the middle of the summer holiday) and the place was practically deserted. We found a table and was gived menus and told to order at the bar. After some serious thinking I decided on the summer burger, and my husband got the Royal burger. We also ordered one portion of fries, trufflealioli, a coke and a small beer from tap. It all came to over 400kr, which is definetly pricey for a place like this, and you can get awesome burgers for a much better price in Bergen. I don't appreciate that fries is not included, and some of the sides are quite expensive. That being said, one portion of fries was enough for both of us. Oh, and they were amazing! Some of the best fries I've ever had, and the trufflealioli was absolutely fantastic. They also have a housemade ketchup which is spicy and yummy, and also free. We both ordered the burgers with organic meat (10NOK ekstra pr. burger), and since they have to cook the organic meat to well done, it was a tad on the dry side. Even though I prefer organic, I may try the regular meat next time and see if I can get a juicier, medium cooked burger. The burger was still very good though, allthough I'm not blown away. They get their breads from a local bakery and they feel very fresh, but with that thick patty and then the thick top bun, it can be hard to fit everything in your mouth! The restaurant itself feels very hip. The walls are dark and they have lots of framed art from local street artist DOLK. There were only two people at work when we went, one cook and one server/barman/everything else. We got our orders in a very reasonable time, and the man we talked to was very polite and professional. I will definetly be coming back to this place in the future. Heck, I could go for the fries alone! Considering the total cost it's not a place we'll just drop by if we want a burger, but it's nice for a special occasion. Oh man! I SO wanted to give this place a better review. I really did, but I just can't! It was just so disappointing. The outside looks great. The inside looks great. The staff, the atmosphere and the concept is all GREAT. But the food.. Man, the food is NOT value for money. Its expensive. I expected a REALLY good burger for that price. Amazingly our burgers arrived in takeaway wrapping paper. I was confused. Wasn't this an expensive burger? Don't I get a plate with some salad? Fries? Nothing? The bread (both normal and gluten free) was cold and dry. Maybe we were unlucky with the bread. I do appreciate that they serve gluten free bread, but I would have preferred the burger WITHOUT bread than the lump of dryness I was given. It completely ruined the burger. The burger itself was good! Yes it was good, but it was ruined by the ridiculous price, the bread and lack of side dishes. So what did I pay so much for? I'm sorry, but if you want that much money for a burger which is NOT amazing, please include some damn fries. I'm sad to say we were so disappointed and still hungry when we had eaten the burgers that we went to Mc Donalds afterwards, because we couldn't afford the buy anything else from this place. read more

The Lonely Planet Norway guide says this is the best burger restaurant in Bergen, and they were absolutely correct. We had the gourmet burger and bacon burger and, let me tell you, I've never had a burger quite that good. The onion rings and fries were perfect too. But the real treat is the truffle aioli: so fresh, so creamy, so perfect. Don't eat a burger in Bergen unless you come here. read more

The burger is nothing to write home about. Will much rather recommend the Inside burger or the no. 13 burger. There is also little thought about foodwast here and they will throw a perfectly good burger away. The people is either not caring/lazy about the costumers or just feel angry and unhelpfull. read more

The atmosphere and the staff is really kind and helpful. The burgers we had - we tried 4 different ones - were juicy, cooked to perfection and didn't feel heavy. The sides are non the less pricey and nothing special. read more
