Wasted 90 NOK, 2 hamburgers ordered with fries and they were good. Ordered 2 beers. Plenty of inside seating. See photos. I wouldn't come back here but they had American type food here and not Norwegian. Not than many places to eat in the shopping side of Bergen unless you want a coffee and a bread item. Also, go order at the bar and they will bring the food to you.

The salads by far were legit. Very very generous portions and lots of salmon and petit shrimp on the seafood salad. The pics on the menu don't do it justice. The service was friendly as well.

Euro '25 Burger Tour continues…read more Just arrived in Bergen via the rails from Oslo and in desperate need of sustenance. This was just the place, only steps away from my Airbnb. It was quiet on Monday, 1945. Classic rock tunes playing, not too loud. You order up at the bar, and they bring you your food. What the heck is up with not having any mayo??? That in and of itself should constitute ONE STAR. But, the garlic aioli substitute was actually to die for, so I'll let it slide. The burgers are fairly 'well' cooked, but it was still pretty flavorful and moist. You do get your choice of patty size. I got a medium and actually felt it was on the small side, so keep that in mind. Comes with a side "salad" which is basically a few leaves, and the fries are pretty decent as well. The hot dipping sauce that comes with the Fireball burger packs a nice punch. Overall I thought the experience was good.

A small Bar in the back with a cozy dining area. Also, have outside seating. We started with appetizers-Mozzarella sticks and Onion Rings. Nothing special and were ok-no marinara for the Mozz sticks?-looks like you have to ask for it and there would be a charge. Enjoyed the Hansa (local) IPA and Mango (seasonal) IPA. Mostly a Burger (with some other sandwich & Vegan Burger options) themed spot with names that are based on ingredients or Chef stories. The Cabo Burger was "Burger of the day" and was enjoyed. I ordered the Fyllaburger-how could I pass up Norway's most famous Hangover Burger? -especially since I had a Travel Hangover- got the BBQ sauce on the side. Pickled jalapeños and their Aioli made for a tasty Burger. All Burgers are made well-done-apparently a legal requirement. Food/Drinks are ordered at the Bar and food is brought out to your table. Service was friendly. We saw they had another location in Bergen and a couple more in the region. Burger comfort can be found and experienced here.

Together with two friends, I concluded a day…read morein the city with dinner at this restaurant, located on the first floor of Hotel Admiral, longside Vågen in Bergen city centre. 5 minutes to walk from Torgallmenningen and 10 minutes from Bryggen, you find this rustic, Manhattan inspired Scandinavian restaurant. Windows allows you to enjoy the activity in the bay, ranging from paddlers in their kayaks to passenger catamarans and supply ships waiting for their next voyage. In spring and summer, you can also get a table outside, litterally sitting on the dock of the bay. To arrive in the restaurant, we have to pass by the hotel lobby and hotel bar and on this specific day, we were met by a not fortunate smell; a mix of unventilated air, the many cups of automat coffee "brewed" by the hotel guests and some kind seaside smell, a combination that would have improved by letting in some fresh air. We had an early reservation and the smiling and joking head waiter showed us to a nice table by the window. The restaurant is rather big, but is furnished to create more intimacy, so that there is no feeling of dining in a hall or cantina. Shelfs with a mix of necessary and decorative elements surrounds the seating areas delicately put together in grey tones. We were immediately offered something to drink and got a bottle of tap water whilst waiting to deside. The menus are not too extensive, but offers a variety that should include something for everyone. Our waiter was helpful in assisting us, both explaining the details of some of the dishes and giving his personal recommendations. In the end two of us landed on the halibut with baked tomatos, potatos, carrot purée and selleri roots followed by a recommended bottle of Chilean white wine, while the third choose a vegetarian spaghetti dish and beer. The food was served quickly without delay reducing its temperature. The halibut was cooked to perfection and the combination on the platter made up a extremely tasteful combination where no elements were fighting with the others. Delicious! The waiters gave us time between the dishes, which suited us well, as none of us feels comfortable with service provided solely for efficient customer handling. For dessert the chocolate was the safe bet for all three girls; a cofectionary cake with caramell fudge and passion fruit sherbert. Although I prefer service that allows time for good conversation between the dishes, I am guessing that the restaurant was slightly understaffed on a Saturday night and that guests with less time available could be slightly annoyed by the wait before staff came to clear the table. However; the variety and quality of the food offered and served are good reasons to go dine at Kitchen and Table in Bergen.

The menu is not vegetarian or vegan friendly so we didn't eat here the first night. The second night we ate here as our tour group was holding their farewell dinner here so we had no choice but to eat here. I knew our tour group had notified every place we stayed that I needed a vegetarian meal and throughout our travels I always received such meal. When the server came to give me my plate of food, it was not vegetarian and he did not seem to be happy that he would have to go to the kitchen to get me something else. He arrived back at the table 10 minutes later with a plate of grilled vegetables; no seasoning, nothing to brag about. While the food was good, it was not spectacular which is what you would expect from Marc Samuelson. All the others at my table agreed that the food was just okay.

My first beer in Norway!…read more 87kr = $11.60 for a 400ml glass of generic Norwegian brew...yikes! But thats normal for Norway... We just happened to fly into Bergen on Norway's Constitution Day...Norway's equivalent of America's 4th of July and France's Bastile Day...it was huge party in Bergen with many Norwegians in traditional attire...checkout my photos! Bartender was super friendly and the place has a classy, but retro and casual vibe. Food prices looked normal on the menu(for Norway), but I never got to eat here. Next time! (Note: At time of this review, the US dollar was up 50% against the Norway kroner...$1 = 7.5kr vs $1 = 5kr just a couple years ago...so this beer could've been $16+ each!!!!)

The last time I was there there was a piano bar which was great fun…read more Unfortunately the previous reviewer has not mentioned it so I don't know if it still runs. If there is piano entertainment then the expensive beer at least feels like value for money. As a pizza restaurant, even the great views do not make up for mediocre food at infalted prices.

OK it is for sure not cheap, But the setting is unique, Think Mall in a giant wooden shed with many bars on different levels. The place is really rocking late on a Sunday night. If you are a smoker there is a heated place outside in the front, with blankets provided for the winter. The Local Hansa beer is really tasty, and the service comes with a smile. I will say that all of Norway is expensive, so try not to faint when you get the Bill.
