Shoutout to Polly from Royal Heirs Pet Spa! I've been taking my dogs to her shop for several years now but on the last scheduled visit my elderly Newfoundland had a seizure before I could get her in, but Polly was kind enough to offer to make a trip out to my home to groom her there. Polly came to my house the other night after a long day working at the shop to groom my sweet ol'dog which was extremely helpful, thoughtful, caring, compassionate, kind, and gracious of her. If you're in need of a place to take your best friend to be groomed, I highly recommend Royal Heirs Pet Spa. Their shop has a clean, open concept, and the staff are polite and friendly as well as very good at what they do. Their pricing is very reasonable, too! read more

My wife and I are new to the state of KS and we took our dogs here for the first time today. At the time of pickup we were told our little baby boy Winston was "difficult" which seemed weird because he loved going to the groomers where we're from... we chalked it up to being at a new groomer. While he was in the backseat on the drive home my wife happened to notice a red mark on his rear leg. When we got home we looked at it and wow... My face it beat red pissed off and to be frank, they're lucky we didn't see this when we were there. They said "he was difficult" and then they said "please leave us a review"... usually I'd have called the company to let them know what happened but they completely failed to mention they cut our dog in several areas and he has a deep gash like cut too... you ask us to leave a review, but you fail to mention that you hurt our dog pretty bad?? Wth... maybe if you would have been upfront about what happened, then you'd get a somewhat positive review, but you failed to take accountability and now we'll never be back to your business. You cant just hurt peoples dogs like this and not bring it up, but to top it off you have the nerve to ask us to leave a review... wow... just wow. This is bad enough for 2 stitches at least and you want a review!!!! read more

Izzy looks great! I took my labradoodle here to get a full groom. She was very matted after the holidays, so I knew her hair was going to be very short. The staff was very friendly and pays so much attention to details. I've never been this happy with her haircut. Not only did she look great but she smells sooooooo good! They cleaned her ears better than I expected so I was very pleased! All around the experience was great and I would highly recommend taking your fury friend here!! Also, the inside is so cute. I love that they have play pens instead of being in kennels when they arrive. Izzy was able to socialize with other dogs and that's always fun! Thank you guys!! read more

I've been taking my dog here for a year I think he's been 4 times now. Usually he comes home soft,clean, and smells so good. Today he was damp, shedding horribly, and had rust on his face from being in the kennels in the back. I paid $70 and still need to brush and blow dry him. He does smell good and his grinch feet were trimmed nicely along with his toe nails. read more

I don't really want to review this business. I don't want them to become so inundated with customers that I can't get my dogs in for grooming!! Selfish, I know, so here I am writing the review anyway. I have a Maltese and Yorkie. The maltese is pretty hard for me to groom myself because her hair is cottony, so I thought I would try this new place out. We hadn't been to a professional groomer in over a year because of an incident where her last groomer cut and injured her and didn't even tell me. I bought grooming shears, clippers, etc and started doing it on my own. I decided that I was doing better than any groomer I had taken them to before so I just never bothered going to a professional, until I heard about this new place. I digress. Royal Heirs is the best groomer I have ever done business with. Period. When I picked my maltese up, she was HAPPY at the groomers for the first time EVER. When she liked the groomer, I figured she must have had a really good time! I couldn't believe the difference in her attitude, she really loves these people. Not only that, she looked AMAZING!! They did just a brilliant job. They did a full groom, nails, glands, *everything* and for less than I have paid at the last few places we've been. Including the place that injured her! I cannot say enough good things about this place. We will not be going anywhere else. read more

My dogs and I love Royal Heirs! Before switching to them, I truly believed dog grooming establishments just had to be grimy and stinky. But RHPS is so posh and clean! The floors always shine and miraculously it never has that "wet dog" smell. It's almost nicer than my own hair salon! ;) When I used to go pick my dogs up from the old grooming shop, I could hear them barking and throwing a fit in the back room. But when I go get them from Royal Heirs, I always find them resting comfortably on the fluffy pillows in the open, airy pens located in the lobby. Such a drastic difference! With the impressive nature of this grooming salon you would think the prices would be jacked up and outrageous. But actually it's comparable to everywhere else I've been (even cheaper than some)! I recommend Royal Heirs to every dog lover I know and none of them have ever been disappointed. :) read more

They were awesome! Got my little guys nails trimmed, and it was really quick and cheap! From walking in to walking out we were in there for maybe 8 minutes. Royal Heirs is the best! I'm so happy that they're staying open with Miss Polly as the new owner! She was happy to work with my difficult dog to make her (and me) comfortable. Now, my dog loves going to the groomer and I think her overall behavior has improved as a result of this positive experience. Miss Polly and the whole team are wonderful! It's obvious that they really love the dogs. When I pick up my dog, she is beautiful AND happy! Normally I like taking my dog here. I just picked him up today though, and they did not have him in the play pens. They had him in a back room with the cages. They advertise they don't use cages but they apparantly do. Not a big deal, most groomers use them. I was just surprised however that a place that advertises they do not cage, there were cages, and my dog came out of the room with cages. They probably had him in one. Yes, they do have the play pens (and normally he is in them), but this time he was not. It was upsetting to see. He was barking up a storm. Also, my dog is always nervous about getting groomed, and I think they find him to be a difficult client and have not been as friendly when we come in. When I dropped him off this morning we were waiting around for serveral minutes and I was in a hurry to get to work. Then someone came in AFTER us, and they were promptly greeted before us. As far as the grooming goes, he always looks nice after but today I was very disappointed in the experience. read more

We took our two dogs there for the second time on Friday, we had scheduled the appointment weeks before and when we got there at 8:30 in the morning they already seemed overwhelmed. We were told that it would take 4.5 hours because they were so busy. We called a little over 5 hours later to see if they were getting close to being ready to pick up, we were told it would be another 45 minutes. When we picked up our dogs they had on bandanas which they didn't get the first time, when we were home a while the bandana came off and we realized that they had "missed" with the clippers and essentially shaved our dog's fur to the skin in a spot on his chest. It's pink and clearly a mistake but rather than telling us they tied a bandana on them?! Neither dog's hair is cut evenly and both seems to have "mistakes" which look painful. They shouldn't have scheduled more appointments than they could handle, and the mistreatment of our pets is inexcusable. We will be investigating which regulatory agency governs pet groomers so we can report our experience. read more

They cut my dogs flank badly and didn't even tell me! The groom was horrible, very choppy and uneven. Did not clean ears very good and my dog smelt like anal glands and had dog poop on the pads of her feet. I will not be returning! read more

I was so disappointed with this pet "spa." They did not listen to what I wanted at all and RUINED my dog's cut and coat. They had a reputation for really listening to your wants and needs, which is why I decided to take my dog there, and it was a BIG mistake. Don't waste your money. read more

The groomer from Royal Heirs accidentally cut my dog and he was bloody from the stitches that came apart when I picked him up. They didn't noticed that his stitches came apart. It was about less than a 2 inch cut near his hip. When the groomer realize that he accidentally cut him, they took him to the vet. I am giving Royal Heirs a zero star for cutting my dog. I never ever had my dog got a huge cut like that from a groomer before. They said my dog was really matted. I didn't think he was that matted because I cut some of the matting out myself before I took him to them. Sometimes I groom my dog myself but I was going to a wedding with my dog and I wanted him to look handsome so I decided to get him a professional cut instead. The haircut that I give to my dog is not as nice as the groomers do it. No matter how matted a dog is, a groomer's job is to groom them without wounding them. I took my dog to other groomers before when he was matted but none of the groomers ever cut his flesh like that before. Yes, he had small nicks and cuts before but not as bad as what Royal Heirs did to him. This was my first time at Royal Heirs Pet Spa. Even though I give them a 0 star for accidentally cutting my dog's skin, I have to give them a 5 star for taking care of the wound. They paid for all the medical bills and they apologized for it. I didn't have to pay for anything. My dog had to get a bunch of stitches and he got a fever from the open stitches. The vet forgot to give him a cone so my dog licked his wound until it came apart. My dog was burning up and luckily the groomer gave me medicine that the vet gave them to give to me to helped with the fever. It was a nightmare and it was a really awful experience. I never want to go through this again. His cut is fully heal now and there's actually no scar. I am amazed. Even though I am upset about the experience but I have to give credit to Royal Heirs for taking care of everything. I wished it worked out because they gave my dog a beautiful haircut that I really love. I guess I am one of the very unfortunate few customers that they accidentally messed up on. If you take your dog here, u can be rest assured that they are well taken care of if something happens to them. They are honest and didn't deny their mistake. They did everything possible to make it right again and repeatedly apologized. read more

What attracted me to this place is their mission to treat you and your pets like royalty. I looked at their website and thought it would be the greatest place for my dog's grooming needs! So, I scheduled and got right in for the following day. I noticed when I dropped my dog off, they took him to the back to wait his turn.. In which he was in a crate. Then, when it came to pick up the little fella 4 hours later, I expected him to be in the play area in which their website states having "fluffy pillows and plenty of toys, as well as a flat screen television playing movies for your dog to watch while he or she waits for you." Nope! He was no where to be seen! The front desk woman walked to the back and brought him out. My dog is the gentlest and friendliest dog you'll ever meet and the lady even stated, "He's so sweet." I gave the front desk lady tip to give to the groomer. She handed it to her and never heard a thank you. Left me with a bad taste in my mouth. I was a new customer and most likely will not come back.. They were higher priced and although I don't mind spending more for great service.. It's not worth it here!!! read more
