This place USED TO be great. The one nail tech that knew and spoke English was awesome, and she was extremely professional throughout. I think she no longer works there; I haven't seen her lately. Today I went to get my nails done; they were all older ladies and they got so upset at me because I sincerely could not make out what they were telling me. Aside from that, my nail tech did not allow my nails to dry completely. She rushed me out the door as if they were uber busy: it was only me and another customer on a Saturday, so...what gives?? Not only that, she was wiping a paper cut on a knuckle WITH ACETONE! Who does this??!! Either she is blind or just plain masochistic. ...Needless to say, as careful as I tried to be, my nail polish smudged on two nails. I am extremely disappointed at this establishment. I've been going to them for over a year, and each time I went, I was noticing less and less attention to detail: they're half a$$ing and making what SHOULD be a relaxing experience to a complete waste of time and money. read more

I'm a loyal customer at this establishment, at least twice a month. I was so disappointed today. My pedicure was good as I expected but something strange happened....the techs offered all the other customers beverages , rolled out those carts with a variety of options- this is a new hospitality feature- love it! But because I was short on time I did a #2 option - totally shunned on any over and beyond experience. Even my sugar rub and lotion massage was super quick and mediocre- so disappointed. I'm beginning to question the integrity of the techs if I'm only special if I purchase the BIG $ package which I often do. Not sure if I will continue to spend my money here. read more

Got my my nails done by Lani. She did a really good job with the nail art. The pedicures are great here as well I'm nice massage and will scrub your feet. They do not have a strong old-school nail salon smell. A huge collection of colors for you to choose from gel, powder and regular nail polish. They do really cute designs and have lots of options if you are unsure or can kind of guide you if you'd like as well. read more

DO. NOT. GO. HERE!! THEY ARE CROOKED THIEVES AND CHARGE YOU UNKNOWINGLY!!! I am VERY disappointed how they treated my 17 year old daughter and took advantage of a child. She went there to get lashes done, and first all, they were nowhere near what she'd asked the tech to do or even compared to the photo she had shown her of what she wanted. She put them on, and my daughter said they looked good, but then the tech just snipped them straight across, which resulted in a blunt cut to them making them look so obviously cheap. My daughter gets lashes from the dollar store and can glue them on better. I should have gone with my daughter because, on top of it, they decided to give themselves a $30 tip!!!! Shame on you for taking advantage of a teenage girl who obviously makes FAR LESS than you do! She saved her money so she could spoil herself, and this just completely ruined it for her. She had a previous experience with them for her nails, which turned out nice, but they filed down her nails a little too deep to where her nails were sore. Shame on you for taking advantage of people like this and charging something she did NOT authorize. That is THEFT!!! Oh, and she even gave a cash tip before she paid for the services. The quality of the services is good, but some of the employees are rude. In my experience, don't bother calling to make an appointment. Just walk in, they do first come first serve regardless. We called and made an appointment for 12:30 for my mom's birthday. We weren't seen until 1:30. My sister paid with her card and planned on leaving a tip in cash. When she returned the signed receipt for her card to the cashier, the cashier seemed offended and asked "no tip?". I think this is very rude, and they made her feel like she had to tip, even though she was planning on it anyways. I would still recommend them based on the quality, just don't let yourself be pressured to spend more and plan to be there for awhile. read more

Worst experience ever, filed my polish off instead of using polish remover, and filed the top of my nail on one toe too thin. It hurts pretty bad. We also might as well have not made appointments, we had 2 for 10 a.m., and they sat us in a chair soaking, and left us for 45 minutes. I think they just take whoever and ignore the appointment book. We had to pick kids up from Kindergarten? So we didn't have lots of time. When they finally worked on us it was very rushed, not relaxing at all. Sucked, worse pedicure I've ever had. I went there due to not wanting to drive to my nail lady after unpacking and moving into my new home in Roy a few weeks ago and it was a great experience and was very pleased on how I was treated as a customer. I returned today expecting the same treatment and I was surely fooled to think I'd be able to get a fill / full set - the women was so nasty she legit ripped off two nails and laughed the whole time I was trying to tell her that method wouldn't work and she had the nerve to put glue on my nail to stop the bleeding. I removed one nail and said to myself honestly how many women come into this shop and get treated this way that look like me ( yes a women of actual color) not a Hispanic/Asian decedent an actual Black Women???? Not many and this is the legit reason why this community aka the Asian nail techs are being targeted for mistreating others. The manager/owner didn't care to step in and help she just sat in awww and allowed her staff to dismiss a paying customer. I really wanted to like Royal Nails. My friend and I are looking for a new place and had read the good reviews so we scheduled pedicures. It was super busy when we went in and were afraid we would have to wait, but they got to us pretty quickly. The pedicure itself was mediocre at best! They didn't trim around the nails or cuticles. They did use the grater on the heels, but barely. The polish was so thick my toenails were still wet 3 hrs later and got ruined. I am also getting an ingrown hair on one of my big toes. This place was not great. Aside from having an appointment I waited 40 minutes before the pedicure started. After choosing which pedicure I wanted the tech didn't give me chance to state which options I wanted (as there were choices in the selection I chose). She was also very rough with handling my foot/legs. While painting my toe nails she was clipping her own nails with the same tools she had just used on me which gives me little faith that they were sterilized before being used on me . On top of that the application of gel polish was awful, it extended over my nail onto the skin and up onto the sides of my toes so now a couple days later it's already peeling. Not something you're happy about after paying $50 for a pedicure. When she finished she said ok I'm done and walked away. This is the first time ever I haven't been offered the assistance of putting my sandals on but whatever I'm fully capable, it was just the clipped abruptness of it that got me. They told me 40 minutes, after waiting for an hour, they told me 10 more minutes. 30 minutes pass after that ten minute mark and I still haven't sat down. They seat me down and start my nails then stopped and went to another customer that came in more than half an hour later than me. Still after waiting two hours, no service. Would give 3.5. This was my first time here. When I walked in I was greeted and sat down. The woman next to me was kind about changing my water since it was super cold a few times . I didn't mind waiting. However, a different lady that did my toe nails was not very friendly. She didn't greet me when she sat down. Didn't talk at all besides asking if I wanted a fill for my nails and I said no. Then she smacked her lips and continued doing my pedicure. I told her I ruined my nails awhile back and needed to grow them out, she ignored me. Anyways, my pedicure turned out great but service could be a lot better. Might come again or just stick to my original nail place. This one was just super convenient as I just Moved to Roy but service wasn't great. It's been a while since I have gone to this place. Mind you, I only went, and will ever be going once. Either way, I hope they've changed the way they run their business. I called and wrote to the Health Department. Yes, it was that bad. The tool one of the men used to scrub my feet had dead skin cells from a previous customer. Umm, yeah, health violation?
