Last night they had entertainment outside and the weather was delightful and we were able to experience the Bourne River Morris Men. It added so much charm to our visit. This is a 400-year-old structure that has been updated so you have all the amenities that you need. Each room has its own name. We stayed in the Fossil Forest.

It's a Friday, so the pub was probably a bit busier than ususal, but it had a nice friendly atmosphere and there were lots of board games to keep us entertained too. We both had the fish pie and rated it very highly. It was full of fish (not sure if local, but tasty nonetheless), and piled high with creamy, cheesy mash - perfect! If you are staying in Lulworth Cove, I recommend this place. It's slightly further afield (away from the Cove itself), about a 10 min walk along the main road, but definitely worth heading in that direction for. There's accomodation too, but can't comment on that as we didn't stay.

We saw this nice looking pub in the tiny village and thought we'd give it a try. Was lovely inside, traditional pub like interior with plenty to look at inside. The food was exceptional, we both had Steak baguettes and they were amazing! Something so simple but the ingredients and the time spent to make the perfect lunch really showed! I had a nice starter and a butternut squash and goats cheese risotto in the restaurant and enjoyed the food very much. As this Inn is right in the middle of Corfe it is ideal for exploring the beautiful castle which is just outside the pub and rises over the garden of the inn.

I would go for the other one again if I would stay in Poole. This hotel is so noisy that I could hardly sleep. Normally I can sleep everywhere. There is a big dual carriage way on one site and an industrial estate on the other site. The rooms are a little bit dated compare to the other hotel. The hotel is wheelchair accessible (but no roll-in shower).
