Loaded up the truck - had to pay $30 for the freon in the fridge - but the broken coffee pot, the stereo speakers that don't work, and the lamps that don't turn on...yadda yadda ( u get the picture) were all free. I had a box of Xmas lights and some old power cords and coax cables in a box too. I pulled up and the girl at the window had two guys come out and grab everything , went back to the window and I found out they pay for the wires and the broken lights, so I ended up only owing them like $7.

While they say on the site you would get a full refund everywhere prior to cancellation, once you cancel you get only 90% and it states you only get 90%. The 90% is not even on all the fees or full price. So on a nearly $90 reservation we received back about $75. We will not be adding our reservation back and will go elsewhere. Upon further thought if they are not honest and up front on pricing, they may be like other prices and cut corners on the ad retired experience as well. If we are driving an hour or more, we'd like it to be worth it. Plus I hate being ripped off.

This despite the price I pay for a second can; which is not past due according to my current bill. I called today -- Alex, the guy I talked to, was completely professional and polite the whole time. However, they couldn't send someone to get my trash "because I didn't call yesterday." But it isn't my responsibility to call them; its their responsibility to empty the cans. 4 stars for Alex...1 star for the company.

GFL TRUCK DAMAGED MY PROPERTY AND DROVE AWAY…read more I came home from my gym today at 1 pm to discover the road in front of my house was totally blocked by several large tree limbs that had been torn off a large city maple tree on the corner of Stevens and Ridge Street. I immediately suspected that an oversized van or truck tore the branches off my tree, and noticed that there was a significant amount of damage to OTHER limbs still on the tree. The stop sign at the intersection was sitting at an angle...looking like it had also been hit by a vehicle. A neighbor came out and said "I have a RING doorbell...maybe it recorded the incident." Well, it did record what happened. At 11:45 am, a GFL garbage truck type vehicle swerved and hit the tree branches, and then drove away without leaving a note. The GFL logo is clearly visible on the side of the truck. I called it in, and the city sent a crew to clear the street. Sadly, they took NONE of the giant branches with them, but rather tossed them in my yard and perennial garden in my front yard. I saw them doing this, and even though they had a TRAILER, they took none of the limbs. The guy told me... "That's your responsibility. You need to cut them up." The branches are huge (see the photo). I'm 69. I can't even LIFT branches this size. Nor do I think it fair for me to have to hire a tree service when I know it was a GFL truck that hit the tree. I filed a police report today, and left a voicemail on GFL's answering machine.

We paid for a large item pickup and received a receipt confirming the service. We were specifically…read moreinstructed not to place the item outside until after 9:00 AM on Wednesday. However, the truck arrived at 7:46 AM (as captured on our security camera), well before the advised time. When we called to report the issue, we were told the representative who gave us the original instruction was misinformed, and we were advised to try again the following week. We complied, hauling the large item back to the end of the driveway on Tuesday night--no easy task--only to have no truck show up the next morning. Moving it back and forth is difficult and exhausting. After another call, we were told to keep checking back to see if a pickup would even be scheduled in our area. Another week passed, and now we're being told we have to pay again because "we never paid"--despite having a receipt. At this point, we're out the money, and the large item has been sitting in our garage for weeks with no resolution. This experience has been extremely frustrating and feels like a complete scam. 05/14/25 - I'm not sure how to directly respond to you, but I'll add it to my post. Your response actually reinforces my point. The video clearly shows a Pellitteri truck with two men stopping by at 7:46 AM. It doesn't resemble the typical trash pickup trucks. The receipt explicitly states "Pellitteri Waste Systems." Is there even another Pellitteri company operating in this area? Please don't try to gaslight me into thinking I've confused it with a different company. I'll call to try and get this settled once more. If this doesn't get resolved, I'll be looking into taking further action through other avenues. 5/23/25 We contacted management and were told the item would be picked up, but once again, no one showed. Now I'm stuck hauling this large item back into the garage--again. I'm beyond frustrated and will be escalating this with other agencies and bureau.
