Nick loved bowling and golfing and spent many evenings at Royal Scot, so when we were looking for a place to hold his Celebration of Life, reaching out to them felt right. From the very beginning, Shannell Howell made the process easy and stress-free for our family. Her kindness and professionalism meant more than she probably knows. The day of the celebration, the entire staff stepped up and helped everything run smoothly. The banquet hall was clean, well-maintained, and provided the perfect space to honor my brother and celebrate his life. We highly recommend the banquet hall at Royal Scot for any event. The staff was wonderful to work with, and everything was handled with care and compassion. Absolutely loved our round here! The fairways were beautifully manicured, and the greens were some of the best I've played in lower Michigan--smooth, true, and rolling right around a perfect 10.5. You can tell the crew takes real pride in the course. On top of that, the service was top-notch. The staff went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed and more. Went there for bowling tournament well organized and clean. The good was fair and service great

$30+/hr per lane is objectively expensive. Ordered a supreme pizza for $26, got a meat lovers dropped off instead. Asked for it to be corrected, and they put the missing toppings on the existing pizza cold, and the dough was undercooked. There's only cosmic bowling for lanes 41-60. There's only ceiling fans for lanes 1-30. They put us on the lanes between both amenities. They won't play music in the facility either, so it's really awkward sounding all night. read more

I've played Royal Scot over 400 times. It has gone downhill since the previous Golf General Manager left. They raised the greens fees for playing the North Nine, and it was in poor condition when I played today. Vast stretches of dead grass on both the fairways and greens. Certainly wasn't worth the extra $10. They've rerouted the play, yet didn't change the hole numbers!?!? I won't be back. read more

Course in awful shape. Tee boxes terrible, long brown greens, patchy dead fairways. 'Pro shop' has no idea what's going on. WAAAY over priced for the condition of the course the how you are treated. 20 years, will not be back read more

This review is on the FOOD only. The first time I ordered from here, I got chilli cheese fries. It was super gross, I am not going to lie. I did not know it would have sauce, peppers, tomatos, and onions. It was not chili that I am used to on the east side. I suppose they made it different here, but it taated really weird with the cheese on it. The cheese was extremely salty. I ordered a burger the next time, and it tasted burnt. It tasted really gross. The fries were pretty good, but not very hot. The ranch was delicious with the fries though. The staff was super friendly and nice. We ate during lunch time and there was a lot of people ordering at once. Not many were bowling yet. I did not get a chance to bowl here, but I imagine it would be fun. I just would not eat here if I were to bowl. read more

Royal Scot is an impressive bowling facility. They have a very large number of lanes (I think 60) and the lanes are well maintained.

Had a lot of fun bringing my kids here for bowling. Honestly a pretty fun bowling alley. My only gripe is with an item on the menu. They have fries and tots that are advertised as loaded. Now there's no description of these items on the menu but we all as Americans have a pretty decent idea of what loaded means when it comes to potato products right? Well apparently Royal Scot didn't get this memo because the loaded fries consisted of fries with nothing but nacho cheese on them. Now don't get me wrong I love a spud and I love some cheese but my dude that is not an order of loaded fries. That's cheese fries. I'm not wrong here right? Also the guy at the shoe counter was acting really thirsty with my girlfriend. I can't fault him for his taste but my dude I'm right here. read more

This review is for the event venue rental specifically. I had my wedding reception in the smaller ballroom about 4 years ago; we chose the taco bar buffet meal option and it was the best! Even years after when our wedding is brought up among friends they always say "the food was the delicious! I went back for seconds!" Bowling area is ok, nothing special. I can say that this is about the smokiest place on the planet. I would never take a child or really any living creature with lungs here until after Michigan's smokefree law goes into effect. I'm not kidding. The smoke is horrible. In the bar, service is really, really slow. On the upside I highly recommend their nacho pizza thing. Order it for a group. It is huge and fantastic and worth the wait! read more

This is probably the worst place to bowl and drink and eat. You have to give a credit card before you can even get wIt f on ..I got a hamburg pattie for $10 dollars they won't deduct anything for the potatoes or bun . Plus ff you want something other than what your waitress ordered than you might get a nasty visit from the cook himself .. not a place I would recommend at all read more

Great place to play golf, bowl or just have lunch or dinner. They serve wonder food at a reasonable price.

Royal Scot is a great place to take the kids or just about any age group. They are very clean, bathroom's are good. My wife has a bowl league here and I have always heard of good things from this place.. Last time I was there I noticed a plate of nachos that I have to try and I am hoping tonight will be that night. I shoot pool here more than anything, they are the only place that I can find in the area that still has hourly pool rates. read more

First new year outing with church youth group, what could be easier than bowling and pizza. Of the 18 youth participating, 12 were under the age of 10yrs old. However, all were excited about the event. Right from the start as we checked in the young woman was very unfriendly. I just chalked it up to her possibly having to work the holiday so I made a point to thank her for being there and had several youth thank her as well. It didn't make an impact on her demeanor. We got settled in, began bowling, and ordered pizza, nachos, and pop. 30mins later, no food and we were unable to find our server. Three other groups one right next to us received their food. Forty five minutes later still no food, I located the bar manager and was immediately met with attitude. Then she says, "we'll give you a couple of pitchers of pop." Meanwhile, a few adults who had come later and ordered food received theirs. FINALLY, ONE HOUR LATER, 1/2 of our order arrived cold over cooked pizza. Had it not been for the fact that 8 kids immediately came over asking for pizza I would have sent the pizza back. There are other options for bowling in Lansing, please take your kids and youth groups ANYWHERE ELSE! read more

This is a very nice facility. Awesome bowling lanes and a fantastic golf course. Love playing there. But the staff in the golf center....awful. Could you find a grumpier group of old men? Holy cow guys, if you hate your job that much then retire!! It was like I was asking them to fly me across the world and back when I asked for directions to get to the back 9. Very good golf course, greens are managed well... But can be a bit hard at times. Course is fairly easy, with a few challenging holes. This is a great course for novice to intermediate players. Fees are more than reasonable as well. read more

So the bowling of course is good. Went for a birthday party which they messed up the reservation created online and they took the box the cake was in so lots of plates were carried. They have good nachos we shared it as an appetizer. The pizza was also good (ham and bacon). Nice quality but not the best. Workers wore normal clothes so unless you remember faces don't count on calling someone over. They also have an arcade area if you want your little ones to play there whilst you hang with your mates and bowl. read more

I will never go back there!! Very unprofessional and unorganized! Booked a party for my 4 year olds birthday party was quoted a price, date, and time with my reservation. When we arrived with our party, no reservation and they charged me 50.00 higher then originally quoted. I was treated very poorly and disrespected not mention embarrassed by both managers on duty. Think twice before u book your next party there are 2 other bowling alleys in Lansing that would love my business and money! read more
