She is amazing at identifying what you need as an individual and how to make changes to improve your game. She makes a very frustrating game fun. After attempting golf a few times in the past and finding it very frustrating, my husband talked me into trying again so we could "golf together" in our retirement. He had golfed for years off and on but more recently was becoming obsessed with the game, so I figured if I didn't take up golf I may not see much of him. I reluctantly said I would try but only if I took lessons. Last summer I took a few lessons with another instructor that resulted in my being overwhelmed with information that I could not apply afterward. Thank goodness that my husband found Jan online. I went to my first lesson- she started out asking what I thought I needed to work on. By the end of the first lesson I knew she was the real deal. She individualized the lesson for what I needed to work on and clearly explained what I needed to do in ways that I could easily apply. My husband watched my first lesson and was so impressed by Jan that he asked if we could get a couples lesson package. Jan worked on instruction that would benefit both of us and what we needed as individuals. After just two lessons I went golfing with my husband and daughter and they were amazed how much I had already improved. I mean I won't be on the pro tour anytime soon but thanks to Jan I know what to work on and and have the confidence and knowledge to identify what I may be doing wrong. And if I can't figure it out Jan told me to text her from the course anytime! And if that wasn't enough she is super nice also.

Eagle Eye is consistently rated in the top tier of Michigan's golf courses by Michigan Golf Advisor. Driving up to the rambling 65,00 sq. foot clubhouse, we could see that Eagle Eye Golf & Banquet Center was serious about their banquet and event business. The clubhouse has several large rooms and all have beautiful lake and golf course views. We were here, however, for some serious golf. My wife and I met two good friends at the "Eye" and had a chance to warm up on the driving range and putting green before our morning tee time. We found the fairways to be beautifully maintained. Five sets of tees provide total course yardage from 7,274 yards from the tips to 5,105 from the forward tees. The greens were quite large, had many challenging undulations and like the fairways, were also in flawless shape. This course has plenty of picturesque water holes and what seemed like a ton of strategically located sand traps that gave our foursome plenty of challenges. The highlight of our round was playing the Par 3 Hole # 17 which is an exact replica of the "Island Green" hole at TPC Sawgrass in Ponte Verda, Florida. What a thrill it was to stick the Island Green from 136 yards on my first try and go on to nail down my Par. Bingo! Overall, Eagle Eye was a solid 5-star experience and a great way to spend a sunny June day with good friends in Michigan.

The most recent round it happened (4/23/2021) twice and after messaging calling the pro shop we still had no relief. Pushing a golf cart up hills for 5 holes on $60/round course is not what i imagined. Notified staff on site and ones response was "it a great day for golf though isn't it?" The young caddy/assistant with the long hair was very helpful and carried our bags when he noticed our cart stranded on the hill at the 18th hole. He was a great help when this happened a few weeks prior also. 2 stars bc of the experience and no form of compensation.

Bradly did a good job of making suggestions on clubs and supplying me with complimentary balls to try out my clubs on the range. The selection of clubs seemed endless but I found the set I liked and my son found his club choice as well. The prices are reasonable and you can get your some clubs adjusted to your swing style. Someone I know asked if I wanted to go to a driving lesson. It was only a couple hours and it was affordable so I went. I literally learned how to hit the ball with my driver in that one class. This is a review focused solely on its golf course and associated features. I have seen Timber…read moreRidge in various conditions over the years, and am happy there is a formidable new owner to tune up the great bones that is already there. I have concerns the Hawk Hollow Property courses could become complacent with lack of competition, and so far I am seeing indicators this is happening. Flat out, the course is not ready for play at its current rates, in its current condition. I have played a hand full of rounds in this short season out there, and the course just has a very disjointed feel to it. Not course conditions alone, the entire experience is cringeworthy for me. The bag drop area is at the least convenient/practical/sensible location possible. If this were a private club, i may understand it, but there is still traffic flow issues when more than 1 car are there. I use bag drops, many people don't...I can not use yours. Along with this awkward setup, the cart staff needs to do a better job if they are a part of the cumbersome process. I had 1 outstanding staffer walk over to my car to grab bags, advise on availability and where to go, set our cart up and continue to be available for other requests before our round. She was exceptional, and earned her due. Every other round started with zero assistance and ended with the obligatory club clean attempt...on already clean clubs. Missed the opportunity to get me a wet towel prior to round, which is what i use. I will reserve final judgement on the Pro Shop being upstairs....BUT it seems to make absolutely no sense for a public course to be so separated from the course and so central to the clubhouse. I see a lot of benefits for having a splashy Pro Shop, but their better sister properties get along just fine with practical. I want to love the course and its entire experience, or i will just go down the road, which is exactly what they need to avoid. Either crank the course up and make it all exceptional, or soften everything and make it friendly, but some sort of identity is needed.
