I've been a client of the owner Alex for over 13 years. Since he's gotten much busier over the years I've been to 3 of his other barbers at his trusted word. For the past 3 years I've been going to his barber Will and in the past month I don't if something has happened in Will's personal life but he has been rude, unprofessional, and hostile to say the least. We had an issue with the appointment service that Royalty Chop Shop uses. I called the shop 3 times, six hours before my appointment, all calls sent to voicemail. I called and texted Will, no answer. I even called and texted the owner Alex, with no answer. Even when I rescheduled online, I called again to try and confirm my appointment was to be rescheduled for the next day. Still no answer. When I called the next day, they confirmed the shop was closed and rescheduled, then hung up. They then called me back to tell me to reschedule again, wanting to charge me for a second time. After telling them the many times I called, Will jumped on the phone and told me that he is a busy man and it's not his job to pick up clients phone calls or text. When I told him that I called the shop he said it wasn't his job and since I was his only client that had a problem with their software that I can find another barber. I haven't received my refund and I called Alex and left messages countless times. I'll find another barber, but if this is the type of business you're going to run with short tempered young kids that don't have good communication skills and bring personal problems to work and take them out on paying customers then you will fail. Where do I start ? I wish I knew about this place years ago ! Choose your date and time for a haircut. It does not get any better than that. Before I would go to a local barber shop and would not know how long I would have to wait. At royalty chop shop I choose my time and guess what get my haircut at that time. Today was my first time visiting this shop, and I left absolutely impressed and satisfied with my haircut, and beard trim / shape-up. Alex is a true professional, and attentive to details and requests. He worked on my hair and beard as if he'd known me for years! The shop is extremely clean and I noticed every employee entirely follow Covid guidelines, including supplying me with a different mask than the one I use, in order to be able to cut around my ears and beard. I had just moved down to White Plains a few months ago and really took for granted my old barber shop. I've been to two shops since relocating and was growing frustrated. I was trying different barbershops for almost a year until I found my spot, this is it! Extremely professional and kind from start to finish everytime. It's a bit out of the way for me but it's well worth the trip. Will is my go to guy he gives me a fresh cut everytime never cutting corners (pun intended) and never rushing me as some places will do, he's also a great person on top of being a fantastic barber,I feel at home whenever I am there.the whole staff is great and the place has the feel an old school barbershop with a bit of new school. Friendly atmosphere but the haircut was subpar. I asked the barber to keep the hair on the top and sides of my scalp roughly in the same proportion, but in the end the top was much, much too long. I didn't notice because he kept my hair very wet (much more than any barber I'd ever visited, for no apparent reason) and failed to dry it completely before I left. It was so bad I felt compelled to come back, but they weren't nice about it. After saying "ok, just this once", they asked me to wait an hour for a brief trim. The place is great and all the barbers do excellent work. I take my 3 year old son there and they leave him looking super fresh. I even reccomended my husband too. My husband likes how they cut as well. I reccomend to everyone to book an appointment just like you would at a salon because all these barbers are in high demand. I actually prefer the online system of booking the appointment and even paying for it up front so that when I go in with the kids I'm not having to fish around for things while wrangling them in and out of the place. read more

One of the best places to get a hair cut. Extremely modern, the place itself is kept very clean and overall looks like a nice barber shop. Very nice Shop. Front desk girl was professional. However showed up 20 + minutes early and was seen 20 + minutes late. Made reservations over the phone with John and asked for a haircut and hot shave. When I received the email it excluded the hot shave. Brought it to the attention of the front desk girl who spoke with one of the owners and they accommodated me so I was grateful for that however I was never told I'd get a different barber from the one I requested. Went as a walk in. No one said a word to me. I sat there for a half hour as people came and went. Good customer service is to greet anyone coming in the door. You never know who is a potential customer. I'm part of a large group and we were looking for a place to get a haircut and this is defiantly NOT the place if you want good service. read more
