Instead of a vowel, can I buy another star.....I'm about to sound as if I'm going for confession but forgive me Sigrid for its been 5 months since my last haircut.....when I was living in Brooklyn I had a stylist that was great. No words had to said. She would wash my hair and go to work. As with Sigrid I was never disappointed. When I sit in the chair for the initial consult I see in Sigrid's eye's the "madness" that awaits. This past visit we were both on the same page, we both agreed, short this time. Job well done! I highly recommend Igor M Salon. I have short hair and it's hard to find stylists who can do a good job with it but Igor is fantastic. I love the way he cuts my hair. I'm also so happy with the way Daniel colors my hair. At Igor M you get a New York City level of quality but conveniently located in Westchester. To top it off everyone at the salon is so nice. I was looking for someone new due to convenience between home and work. Igor M Salon received good reviews, so I gave it a try.... and the experience was terrific! Eberything about this hair salon is excellent. Lois does a phenomenal job with haircuts (curly, or waves) and comor. Jenn gives the best wash and blow out. The fromt deak is helpful and friendly. I've had great haircuts in Westchester, but couldn't find a salon that could provide what I was asking for - lots of layers and texture! Sigrid at Igor M Salon not only met my expectations, but EXCEEDED them. She took my inspo photos and created a reality from them. I truly appreciate her for taking her time to get the layers right and even providing product suggestions to help me style it similarly at home. You need to book Sigrid ASAP! I started going to Igor for haircuts when he was in the city. Then he moved on and opened his own beautiful salon in White Plains. The space and ambiance are beautiful. Luckily that's only 15 mins from me. Igor has given me the best cuts - always gives me just enough layers & volume. He uses the best products to make your hair smell and feel great. Honestly this was my first time going to a salon alone. I really wanted a wolfcut. The workers are so kind. They ask if you would like anything to drink. When my name was called, I got to meet Igor and told him what I wanted, he gave me other ideas and I went with them because he said that my hair wouldn't work cause how straight my hair is which ofc did not bother me cause I know . But ANYWAYS I just went with the flow. I got my hair cleansed by this guy, he is so kind and funny and fun to talk to.He made me feel comfortable. We chatted as if we were like besties . After he finished washing my hair, Igor started working on my hair, he KNOWS and I mean it HE KNOWS WHAT HE IS DOING. And in the end, he did exactly what I was looking for. Updated Review: My Second visit to this lovely bright Salon was nice and peaceful as I went on a Monday. Igor was not there but had Kang do a Small Cut and Shape, as I am trying to grow my hair longer. Christine did my Color and its my natural but she amped up the brights. I'd phoned a handful of salons to see whether they'd add some color warmth to a clip-on human hair topper for me, but they responded no. One salon told me they could make the hair darker, but not lighter. Matilda at Igor M Salon did a test dye with a tiny lock in the piece. When the dye took, she kept the hair overnight and had it ready for me the following day. I was delighted with the job she did. The salon staff is very nice. read more

I did color with Nikki and keratin with Igor. Both asked me questions to figure out exactly what I wanted. They were honest about their opinions without being pushy. The salon is beautiful and clean and nicely laid out (you don't feel like you're on top of anyone). They did a very nice job with my hair and they were so quick! The keratin was a little more expensive than what I was paying in the city but took half as long..the time savings was worth every dollar to me....overall i was really impressed and look forward to returning read more

Tried this salon from a friend's recommendation and safe to say I will never, ever come back. I came in and asked for a trim plus face framing layers and my stylist took it upon itself to thin out my hair: he told me it "hung" at the bottom and that there was too much. I loved my beautiful thick hair but he told me to trust him and that it was going to look good. While he was cutting, I asked him if I was doing layers and he said no, then I asked him if he was thinning out my hair and he said no again -- even though he was and my hair is now half as thick as it was previously, not to mention definitely cut more off than the 0.5 inch I asked for. Moral of the story, find a salon where you can trust the stylist to do what you ask for instead of what they think is best, and where you can pay less than $120 for a women's haircut. read more

The location first of all is not that convenient. it is located on the retail level of a office building across the street from a dying mall. The parking garage is expensive and the salon does not validate even when spending $300 or more. Boutique salons have begun pricing in ranges which gives them tremendous latitude in charging whatever they want for whatever reason. A blowout by the owner is more expensive ($70) but you don't leave the salon with a style, just dried hair. After spending hundreds of dollars on color, highlights and glazing, they still push to blow out hair for an additional 50-70 which is ludicrous. It should be included when you spend almost $400 for complete color treatment. I remember the days when the owner refused to be tipped since he/she had the pride of owning the business but those days are gone as well. read more
