My first experience with Royalty Juice Bar and Café was very pleasant. It was a Saturday morning after my cycling class, and I decided to try a juice bar nearby. It's a quick walk onto Ventura Boulevard, and despite it being really busy, we were greeted by the cashier right away. The café is quaint and has tables to sit and enjoy if you decide to dine in there. The service was friendly, and we received our drinks within a few minutes of ordering. The juices are very delicious and refreshing. I tried the Allyson Wonderland and really enjoyed it. I will definitely be coming back to try the other juices. read more

I wish Royalty had more locations because it's quite literally the epitome of what a juice/smoothie shop should be. First of all they have an extensive menu of different combos to choose from. Since it was my first time here I got their best seller "The Healthy Smoothie" which is a blend of kale, spinach, almonds, dates, parsley, banana, strawberries, and almond milk. I was having a weirdly difficult time finding smoothies in the area that are actually healthy with real veggies etc. I stopped here and was very happy - the woman working there was very helpful (they have a huge menu) and basically told me what to order. I ordered a goddess wrap online because I have a 30 minute break for work so I thought it'd be great to order it ahead of time. When I got there the guy was standing at the door frame to the side of the cashier and I politely said hello and he ignored me. I said hello I'm here to pick up my order. He looked at me and then turned away to proceed gossiping with his co worker and I waited again another 30 seconds and I say hey! I really have to head back to work I'm just here to pick up my order the guy finally turn around very annoyed and rolled his eyes! He was like oh this is your order? Something to know is this menu has so many delicious items - it will be tough to choose what to get. Everything is a good choice. I've come here 3x now and every time is a great experience. You know, I just don't know how they get the place to smell like "all of the fruits" and "all of the vegetables" but it just smells so fresh and delicious inside - it's a true game changer and makes you feel like you are getting the most fresh ingredients in your juice / smoothie. I tried the Superman and so did my wife. It tasted delicious, perfectly balanced and like we could drink them in 5 minutes. It felt like it had the most healthy ingredients in it but tasted delightful! The staff is so kind, helpful and joyful! The staff has plenty of energy & makes me feel like I want to come back everyday. I am sooo all about royalty juice bar - I love that it's close to my gym & I could always count on them. Really loved coming to get my juice from here. The ingredients tasted fresh and my juice was served in minutes. Apparently all the produce is sourced daily from the market downtown. There's so many juice and smoothie options with the option to even create your own. The menu is quite big so took me a while to figure out what I wanted but the stomach flush was a great choice and definitely flushed me out lol if ya know what I mean! Service was friendly and there was enough room in the dining area for smaller groups to sit. Parking is in the back, street or I walked over from the TJs parking lot next door. While the drinks and food are good I cannot under good conscience recommend this place. Twice (in the span of multiple years) I've had the cashier make comments about the size of smoothie I've ordered and how it is maybe too big for me. He said "whoa, that's a big smoothie! You must be very hungry! Eat it for lunch!" As someone recovering and dealing with disordered eating it really messed me up. Just a warning to those who may also struggle with disordered eating or similar, this is maybe not a safe place to pickup a quick boost. KUT across the street are lovely and never make comments about my order. EDIT: the owner replied saying she was sorry if I was offended (ah, a nonapology, blaming it on the person who was wronged) and that they would talk to this employee on "making comments" He can make comments, such as "what a good choice" "ah a nice fruit mix, oh fun" "Peanut butter!" Just be mindful of comments on the amount of food. You never know why someone is getting the amount they are, there's dozens of reasons to get a large smoothie. read more

This was a hidden gem! Came here after a hike for something light and refreshing and this what hit the spot. I ordered the chicken wrap and the hello Eddie!!! The food was perfect, light, fresh but so tasty! Definitely was pleasantly surprised! Was confused on what to get to drink but the lady before was very confident and got the hello Eddie so I decided to try the same. There a surprise flavor of mint (I didn't know and I'm not a big mint person) but it was so mild and tasty I should've ordered a large! So fricken good. The women who worked the register could tell it was our first time since they know 90% percent of there customers (return customer should tell you a lot) and as I watch each person walk in I heard her or any of the staff say "your usual" I love that! She even gave us a sample of their most popular flavor. I forgot the name but she said it's basically like a pbj sandwich in smoothie form. It was to die for!! She was so sweet! I really enjoyed the family owned business aspect of this place. We need more of that in La. Will be back again....i need to try the whole menu!!! My sister turned me onto Royalty last week, we'd spent the week together hiking for lunch and she mentioned wanting to go here after recently checking them out. I'm totally not a smoothie person but she is and where she needs to gain ten pounds and I need to lose ten, we head to these places each having different but I guess similar needs (protein?). I was completely overwhelmed with the menu, they have like 100 items on the board and that's the sort of thing that just throws me off. I need clean, simple, or I'm lost and out. I initially said I'd skip but then they recommended Scott's Protein Boost to her and it sounded good. It had strawberries, bananas, peanut butter (that she swapped for almond butter) dates, almond milk and possibly something else. It was a different price point than some of their other smoothies and I thought I could work with this if they'd sub the strawberries out for blueberries. They did and this drink was great. We both got 16 ounces which is plenty! I sucked mine down super quick, and what really stood out to me were the dates. I love dates and having little bits of them in every sip was really yummy. Some of their cold salad options looked worth a try to. We returned a couple days later and I ordered the same drink. I wouldn't make a habit of this place without her in tow but if smoothie drinks are your thing, Royalty has a TON! They also offer the vegan protein which is great because my stomach always gets super weird when I have the other stuff. We walked here both times, but I suppose you can park in the Trader Joes lot or out in front on the street. Friendly, quick service and a public restroom which is nice when you come in right after a hike, covered in dust. read more
