I needed someone to paint a room that I intend on using as a nursery. I contacted the guy who I used to paint my old house to get a quote for the room but my husband wanted me to get a second opinion. I was driving down Branch Ave. and saw a Roy's Painting van and took down the number. I can't speak on Roy because I only dealt with Ginger and she was pleasant. She was a little late showing up for my estimate but I didn't mind since I work night shift and it allowed me to sleep a little longer. The price she gave was $100 less than my first quote so I went with Roy's. The painter, Oscar, showed up on the date on time, removed his shoes and was very respectful of my house. He arrived before I got home and discussed the project with my dad before getting started. I was just getting off work when I arrived 30 minutes later and he kept the noise down since I was sleeping in the next room. The paint job was very neat with no paint dripping anywhere. I wanted the room, including the ceiling and doors to be painted blue and the trims all white. I deducted 1 star because he painted the baseboards white but all the other trims around the doors and window sills blue. It may have been a miscommunication on the part of my dad who told him, "She wants the whole room blue" and it doesn't look bad so it's no biggie. I would definitely use them again if Oscar is who would be painting. read more

I used Roy's Painting Company for a paint job I needed done earlier this month -- I needed to repaint a bathroom and have some other areas touched up/repainted. Ginger was timely and very knowledgeable when coming out to assess the need, and provided an itemized quote within a day. I was able to be added to the schedule quickly, and the painters (Henry and Jose) were awesome. I cannot say enough about how please I am with my investment. Over the years I have painted myself or hired folks on the side who claim to be painters and actually they were not. Quick paint overs..nail pops sticking thru the paint. One coat of paint and then it fades after a year....paint on the floor and so on. So thats what I use to do. I realized that my home is my investment. I wanted my house to be five star living. Well, I was driving one day and saw the Roys Paint truck. I gave them a call and met Ginger on the phone. I love her! She immediately new what my needs were and explained very carefully what needs to be done in order to make my home five stars. Her crew arrived buckets in hand and let the work begin! Jose, Henry, Oscar and more....what an awesome crew. So friendly..but those guys WORKED! SANDING, SCRUBBING, PAINTING, POWER WASHING, and on and on! I love it! The professionalism, paying, attention to detail, Integrity..yes I said it! Integrity...I could trust them with my home. They made recommendations, suggestions and most of all the price was reasonable and competitive. We used these folks in 2017 to paint our house to stage for a sale. They actually went above and beyond what we needed, which was a lot. We have a huge home, with a wide two story foyer, and a ridiculously large family room, and the ceiling had some major damage that had been repaired. There are 10 windows in the family room alone, so lot's of trim, plus a large chandelier and fan. My husband accidentally had made an error in instructing them to get the wrong color trim, but when they saw his error, they pointed it out, and made the color switch at no extra cost to us. That was huge. But when they also painted the doors of all the rooms to be sure there was an exact match and a fresh look for staging-- which wasn't in the contract, I knew I had to write them a great review. My husband is a painter, and can be pretty picky, but he hasn't found any issues. It looks great. It was a two day job, but I thought it might take longer. They finished on time, and the boss (owner?) came through early on the second day to inspect the progress. They did a great job! read more

I contacted them through a promotional flyer. Negotiated a contractuatual price with their estimator who came out. Thet sent a different painter out because the assigned painter cried about getting fired if he did not get the job finished in his bosses alloted time. The painters rushed and missed painting over some areas.. When I contacted Roy the owner, to ask if he ever inspects the poor jobs that they did and if he would make it right? , he replied, "do the Cola Company execs come out to inspect every can of cola that you drink"? I wish I had read every available review on the internet beffore making my deciion . The biiggest RIP OFF ever. I'm painting over the areas they missed. It was like watching old circus clowns perform. I was not amused......... Get them out of my house! read more

Without a doubt, the most unprofessional so-called business I've encountered in a long time! Hubby was home ALL day, waiting for the estimator's arrival, scheduled between 2 - 3pm. No knock on the door, no phone call or ring of the doorbell. At 3:15pm, he calls the office, only to be told that the estimator said, "he came to our house, no one was home and he had other places to go". Hubby informed the voice (female) on the other end, that he'd been home all day and absolutely no attempts were made to contact him. She went on to say, "the estimator wouldn't lie" and offered to have someone come out tomorrow. Is she a comedian or what? NEVER! Based on this experience, my true review would be a negative 10 (-10). I would not recommend or ask Roy's to paint a dog house!!! Zero customer service skills!!! read more

They failed to show up at the quoted time! I called and the lady told me they didn't finish a job from the previous day, so they would be late getting to me. Once again, she quoted a time two hours later and they did not show up. I called her back and she said "nothing is guaranteed". When I asked for a discount for them being an inconvenience to me, she said they could not do anything for me. She then assured me that they would be there four hours later. When they had not shown up at that time, I cancelled the request. This company is very unprofessional and inconsiderate and I would NOT recommend them! read more

We contacted them to paint our new home, they were the lowest of the 3 bids, which my wife and I thought was a plus. The painters that came were 1st of all unlicensed and we found this out towards the end of he job, they used no tape what so ever and remove none of the switch plates before hand, just painted right over them. The worst painting job ever, we will never use them again. If I could rate less than 1 star I would. read more

There have been a couple of painters that didn't do a very good job, but I have found a few that do exceptional work and ask for them by name when I contract with the company. As both Anita G and Beyond B stated this company is VERY unprofessional from the painters, the "lady" in the office who's name is Ginger to the racist owner. I've recently had my home "painted" if that's what you want to call it. It's a HOT MESS! I mean literally. Both me and my husband called and got the owner Roy who was nasty and kept referring to us as "You People". Tell me who you people are sir, we are paying customers. Here's the thing after I'm finished reading the last reviews I am pretty sure this is all a game. I got the same story as Anita, the crying painters, how the boss is an ass and makes them rush? Come-on sounds a bit weird to me, I had originally told my husband that I wouldn't report these company but I'm now having reservation on the horrible work. I've never contracted a paint company were I had to by my own paint! Are you kidding me, or my own base board? If you choose to use this come please get everything in writing and read all reviews including the BBB. It's all out there you just got to search for it. As for me and my husband I'm more than frustrated and pissed off at the money I've wasted. But my story doesn't end there, I still have to pay these fools cause I set up a negotiated price plan with them, which I'll never forgive myself. I found them in the Penny Saver, thought to call. Professional quote, timely and very cheap. Job completed in the time and manner quoted. Employee's all seemed to hate their job and employer. Exterior paint on 1969 house. A lot of sanding and prep req'd. They did not use a drop of primer "specified in contract as well as verbally discussed and agreed upon. No primer even brought to the job. When I confronted Patrick (Quote Rep), he cryed and assured me that he would get to the bottom of it. I wanted a portion of the job sanded/primed and repainted. He agreed and arranged a time to do it when I couldn't be there. The neighbor watched for me, Patrick came alone and did all that work in less than an hour. Primer, no, just thicker coat of paint. I am sure the paint will begin to fall off before the end of Winter. I will never use this company again. The company from top to bottom is very unprofessional, dishonest and not worth the lower price. My mistake was to hire them before reading through this review link. I should've known better, as others have said, Buyer Beware and good luck. Watch them between preparation and paint stage, ensure the primer or you will be ripped off. read more
