Let me first say that I have been taking a fair amount of pants for alterations, as well as shirts for patches to be sewn on since I relocated to Fort Wayne in March 2025. Well over several hundreds of dollars for basic alterations. In early April I took a pair of jeans that were beginning to fray on the right leg to have the hem shortened [I have had her complete this process on at least another six pairs of jeans previously]. Approximately two weeks ago her husband called and stated that my pants were ready for pick up. Since I had already paid and she was busy as usual I took the pants and returned home. When I got home, I noticed that that right bottom HAD NOT BEEN REPAIRED. On Friday, June 26th I returned to Roza's to illustrate that the jeans HAD NOT been repaired. Roza had several customers in the business at the time, however in short, she stated clearly in front of the other customers that these were a DIFFERENT pair of jeans that I brought in. At first, I thought she was joking - this is the same woman that I stop in to say hello, brought flowers for her on Mother's Day; Treating Roza more than a business, but rather a friend - however, she was serious. At least three times she indicated that her process was 100% defect-free and I was attempting to get her to repair another pair of my jeans for free. I have been a Continuous Improvement - Process Improvement Manager for over 35+ years around the globe. EVERYTHING we do is a process, and therefore every process can be improved. Regarding her statement that her process was NEVER wrong, I wanted to provide data that even flying in an airplane or having major surgery is NOT 100% defect free. I have NEVER been so embarrassed, frustrated, or angry at a business where I was ACCUSED of attempting to get $10.00 worth of work by perceived deception. It took every ounce of self-restraint and ultimate respect for Roza to not confront her in FRONT OF HER CUSTOMERS, even though she had ZERO ISSUE with calling me a liar in front of them. As I have read in countless reviews Roza provides excellent work - which I 100% agree - yet I also have read many comments indicating that she can be rude as well. I called later and left a message indicating my disappointment in the way I was treated after being a customer for well over a year. Much to my surprise and further disappointment I received ZERO FEEDBACK. I believed in Roza and her business to the point where I carried extra business cards in my wallet and passed out to others that indicated they required alteration needs; Other businesses as well !!! Data indicates that for every unsatisfied customer they will tell at a minimum seven others - Friends, Co-Workers, Neighbors, etc.. - what unsatisfactory customer service they were given. Those Seven Individuals will tell others as well. DO THE MATH. Again, everything we do is a process; EVERY PROCESS can be IMPROVED... In closing, I will ABSOLUTELY wear the "Emperor's Clothes" before I EVER STEP FOOT in her business again. read more

I cannot recommend Roza enough. I had gotten my wedding dress altered somewhere else and it did not fit comfortably. 5 days before my wedding I took my dress in to Roza she was able to alter my dress in time for my wedding. She seriously did an amazing job. read more

Due to the current pandemic, services are temporarily by appointment only. Only one customer at a time allowed in the shop. I stopped by recently, only to learn repairs are by appointment only. I quickly called and set up a same day, actually 15 mins later, appointment. I had a rather classic piece that was in need of repair. Roza informed me she could have it done in minutes. I left the shop to secure cash, the only form of payment accepted. By the time I returned, the repair was complete. The entire experience was quick and easy. My daughter needed an emergency wedding dress alteration after the first seamstress in Roanoke rudely turned her away 3 weeks before her wedding, and after she had cancelled on us 2 weeks earlier. We contacted Roza and she got my daughter in promptly for a fitting. Roza was shocked that the other woman couldn't or wouldn't do the alteration. Roza gave my daughter encouragement and set her at ease that she would get the dress fixed for her. She told us not to worry, she would help and that my daughter would be a beautiful bride. We went back for another fitting and there was a minor adjustment to be made, and Roza got it done! She was very kind, understanding and sympathetic to our situation. This is the second time I've had a beaded gown that needed altered; the first was a formal gown a few years ago that needed let out. This time I had a wedding dress that needed taken in. Both times, she had very little notice on my part, but she did a beautiful job! I walked in and it was taken care out without any issues. $80 to get basic bridesmaid dress hemmed 1-2in. They only take cash. They don't take appointments. Went in and waited a half hour because they just have one dressing room. Made me pay $5 to have my unaltered dress handed right back. read more

They are unprofessional and rude and not even do the job right. I went to get my Scrub pant TAPERED. Showed them the sample and they told me a price. I didn't negotiate the price as money is never an issue for a job well done. 2 weeks later when I pick it up, horrible job done. No taper, only outer seam corrected. I am like this is no good, this is not a taper. This time the owner herself is there, she is like we showed you, I am like I showed you the sample and told you TAPER, and taper means correction from both seams not just the one. She said it ll be 6$ more. I am like what? And then she is like we do not want customers that argue. I am like I am not arguing at all, it's the final product that I don't like, and I paid for final product. Nonetheless she says "what do you want me to do? Fire Maria?" I am supposing Maria is the one that did it. I was like do not fire Maria, no one who works hard needs to get fired, if you guys can correct the mistake, it's all good. She sent me happily on my way. Next time when I go pick it up, mistake was corrected and it was correctly TAPERED, and me putting all things behind, I said, If you can do this job again, I ll get you my other Scrub pants too. Owner is like please don't bring anything here, we do not want to work for free for any one? What the hell? I paid 22$ for it, how is it free if you do a horrible job and I make you correct it and pay you the full 22$? I would have paid 30$ if you asked me in the beginning for the final product. Don't be a cheat and act all high and mighty. Tailors are not God and you make mistakes, admit them. Never would go back there, and I absolutely do not recommend them to anyone who wants a good job and a good professional treatment done. She told me they have enough customers and don't need more. So clearly if you are a regular stay blessed, but new ones please walk away before the owner treats you like a filth. Either do it right the first time, or admit the mistake and work with the customer, rather than being rude and pointing mistakes in customer. My husband is going to seminary to become a pastor and had to purchased several clergy items including an alb, cassock, surplice, and several clergy shirts with French cuffs, all which needed to be shortened both in length and in the arms. He also had several pants shortened with a cuff hem. Roza made sure to have him put on the exact shoes he planned on wearing when taking measurements. So glad she did as it was more than an inch in difference between the dress shoes and sneakers he was running errands in. I was referred to this place by a friend and I thought I'd give it a try. As I walked in there was no one present. I was trying to get someone attention by saying excuse me about 5 times after 5 minutes of waiting an employee finally came up to me. In any ordinary alteration shop they pin you and everything was fine. I gave the lady my information and I left. I came back into the shop because I had one more question to asked. I asked the owner if the alteration isn't what I would like it to be do you guys charge an extra fee any extra alteration. She seemed quite angry right after I asked her question and she start taking the pins out. Her responds was well if you don't trust me then you can take it somewhere else. I was just confused because all I asked was that one question. She kept going on how long she's been in business and no one ever asked her that question before. For myself since I was a paying a fee of $36 I would like to have my item well taken care of. With any customer in general we're going to have questions! Wouldn't choose any different alterations shop! Not only was Roza and her team reasonably priced and did a great job. She was very time efficient. I brought my dress in on Thursday needing it let out for Saturday morning. Roza said she would have it ready by Saturday. Not only did she do a beautiful job with the alterations in such short time but she was able to finish it by Thursday night. Such a wonderful and warming place. I will forever go there for any alterations needed in the future. Definitely recommend this place for any alterations! read more
