The first visit went so well! I was able to get multiple things fixed and scheduled a larger job which was basically a bathroom Reno due to a leaking pipe. Then we ran into a small issue where I felt some work was improperly completed and wanted to work through it and that's where it all fell apart. The receptionist was extremely accusatory at first but did eventually call to apologize and I hoped things would be better. Once I talked to the owner he seemed really understanding and accommodating and even sent me a really thoughtful response as they were working though the issues with me so I had high hopes that we would fix the issue and continue on with the work, only they just stopped communicating with me completely. I would have fully understood if they came to a conclusion and explained to me why but they chose to do nothing and that was really disappointing. Now I have a half finished bathroom and construction debris that they left behind that I'm having to pay a new person to finish the work and clean up behind them. The worst part is I had already referred them to a friend of mine who needed some work done and had to go back and tell her, never mind because if you can't trust them with a minor inconvenience how can you trust them with a major job?! I will say if you just need some minor handyman work then go for it because it doesn't seem like my experience with them is their normal experience, but be leery and keep every record along the way.

The main project was to replace more than two dozen rotting boards and the steps on our 20-year-old deck, ensure the structural integrity of the deck, and jack up a corner of the deck that had sunk a couple of inches. He also power-washed the deck and the siding of the house that faced the deck. We also needed work done indoors. He repaired a door frame to a bedroom, fixed a broken storm door, replaced marble tile in our foyer, installed a missing sliding closet door, and procured and installed beautiful luxury plank vinyl flooring for a bedroom. He communicated clearly with us throughout every project, made suggestions when he saw something that needed improvement, and always checked with us when a decision needed to be made.
