    Wouldn't even pick one star. Went with my deposit and everything needed just to be told they would not be following through with What she said would happen. It was like she didn't want to get me in the house. I had originally applied for a different house. Just for her to tell me it was still available if I still wanted that one? This lady has no heart and is a horrible manager. She might get a few people in but if I had property I would want to know if I had a possible lawsuit on my hands and she is definitely that type. Good luck if you ever deal with this place.

    They do not return calls or answer the phone ever. They are rude and EXTREMELY unprofessional.

    Tracy Bixby with Homeland Realty is dishonest from the get go. We were told what our real estate…read morecommission was going to be. Great. Her numbers were better than the 6% other realtors were charging. The home sold in one weekend. ONE HOUR before our closing we got an email from First American Title Co. letting us know what our closing fees would be. Our fees suddenly had doubled. We called Tracy immediately. She tried to say that was what we agreed on. She backed down when we said we had our written contract in front of us. She said she would correct it. When we got to the Tittle company she hadn't notified them. Luckily another agent who works for Tracy was in the room, (seems Tracy had suddenly taken ill) and the other agent had the form corrected as to what the correct fees were. Another lie was telling us that our buyer was buying it for her ISU college son. We were more than willing to help out. As we are snow birds, we left the home 98% furnished with new items only used 5 months a year. We had only owned the home 5 years. Included were couches, mattresses, lamps, washer and dryer, dishes, silverware, pots and pans and even the lawn furniture and lawn mower. I even left blankets, sheets and towels. Three weeks later, I looked it up on Zillow as our neighbors said no one had moved in yet. Surprise, surprise they now had it for rent at $2450 and Homeland Real Estate was the property manager. What had really angered us was earlier we had canceled an appt. with an estate dealer to manage a sale since we didn't need any furnishings at our Winter home. We figured their son could use all we left behind. Plus to add insult to injury, I took great pictures of our property when we listed it as an FSBO three weeks earlier. I gave Tracy permission to use them when we listed with her. Now she's using my pictures to try and rent the property. Tracy is sneaky and dishonest.

Not one to put negative vibes on something like this but.. said they would over see my credit.. just tell the truth and we will work with you. so I did..told him my landlord is not friendly at all.. hasn't fixed 3 things in 8 years and is a racist and just an asshole. I even showed them the video and they said they dont need to hear from my land lord.. that was good enough. He said put in your app and pay the $45 app fee and you will be fine ( before the video) ( because I explained it to him).. is there anything else I should know.. he said..I said I have a brother that had hip surgery and shoulder surgery and helps take care of my son for me.. they ask how long will he be there and I said about a month from moving in. everything was great.. I had a couple of choices to choose from.. I was very happy.. then the day before I was to pay my deposit. I get a phone call saying I talk to your nm landlord.. and you didnt tell me the truth about your brother.. do he now will not except my application.. what is that.. H e said the amount of time he was here with me.. one it doesnt matter how long.. he was taking care of my son while I was working and I make 4100 a month alone.. 2 his hip surgery was a while ago but have been having defective problems and has been going to the doctors.. 3 he is at of here in a month like I said.. bottom line is o was truthful with everything but he used my brother as i was lying to him.. so i was denied and they got my app fee.. thought they were nice people but if you do that alot you can take a in on those app fees.. paid my rent on time for 8 years and was an excellent tenant.. never had a crazy party except for my kids slumber party..LOL..

    After previously living in a one bedroom apt the big Brentwood manor building at 303 N Hayes, the…read moresame owners had a bigger 3 bedroom apartment only 2 buildings down open up. I really liked the property managers they used to have running Brentwood decided to move into a 3 bedroom in this six plex that they also ran. It had new carpet, a newly remodeled bathroom, and a nicer kitchen. From a short tour I went ahead and upgraded. We paid a 600$ deposit and paid 570$ every month including the discounted internet they offer. After paying the deposit and getting the keys I went inside to check everything and clean in needed. I ended up crying after having to clean so many dead bugs out of all the window sills. I smashed 3 spiders before even moving anything in. While cleaning the windows I realized they were mostly painted shut but not sealed properly elsewhere. I tried to seal them with caulking putty, it didn't help a lot. Only two of the windows opened at all. I did spray around all of the baseboards of the apt with home defense spider and bug stopper when I moved in. It didn't help. The closet door to my bedroom never got installed before we moved in like they said they would. Since we've moved out I don't know if they had installed it yet. When they replaced the carpet in my apt they didn't bother installing new trim and so there is a good sized crack all along the corner of the wall and floor. I found spiders down there often. I also had a problem with carpet beetles while I was there (I never had this problem at the 303 n Hayes apt complex). I had Brand new carpet, and I vacuumed every week. There were less of them when I sprinkled diatomatious earth (garden safe) in all the cracks along the baseboards. It's supposed to kill insects with an exo skeleton. It definitely didn't work on the spiders there. I saw all varieties of spiders there, mostly hobos. The biggest hobo I saw was about the size of a 50 cent piece with his legs expanded. I found earwigs in my kitchen occasionally (I mopped once a week). The spiders and webs are really bad in the hallways outside of the apartments. Each month I asked the property managers to vacuume it out and they didn't vaccume that hallway once in the 6 months I lived there. I tried to sweep out the carpet a little bit but gave up after 4 months of seeing the neighbors leave their cigarette butts on the floor out there. I placed a spider trap in the hallway that was full within 2 weeks. I will post a picture. The spider traps I placed inside my apartment all had spiders in them. If it wasn't for all of the spiders in this building I would have stayed longer. My neighbors when I lived there consisted of a group of very loud college girls and some other folks with a dog they always chain up outside of the building. They never pick up their dogs poop. I never dared to walk in the grass!I heard the woman yelling at her dog on several occasions and twice she yelled at it for biting her. The other neighbor was a guy who smoked on the porch all the time and threw his cigarette butt on the ground. I think there was a young couple who lived there too that also had a dog, but they kept to themselves and took their dog only to the park. The apartment kept pretty warm in the winter but was unbearably hot in the summer. I got one of those small window ac units and it cooled the entire apartment very well! The apt I lived in had 3 bedrooms and one bathroom. One bedroom didn't have a closet but there was a lot of storage elsewhere in the apartment. There was a washer dryer hook up that we never used. There was also a back door that was very creepy. I piled things in front of it to make sure no one could come in from it. I never had any problems with bed bugs here. I kept bed bug traps under my bed posts and didn't have my bed touching the walls. I never saw a single bed bug. The only thing my bed post traps caught was a pill bug. If it wasn't for the spiders and bugs here I would have stayed longer. The drive from here to isu is under 10 minutes usually. Our electric bill was usually around 40$ and gas bill was around 25$ in the winter and 8$ in the summer. If you don't mind spiders/bugs and the sketchy neighborhood, it's worth the space!
