So I have the firsthand experience regarding public transit. Today is my first ride. I rated it as four stars, based on the following highlights (no particular order): + Ample outdoor parking that's CHEAP + Parking pay station collocated with ride ticket vending machine + Rides are cheap...no comparison needed + Train cleanliness appears to be of importance + Timely departure and arrival + Airport service via transfer at Union station - NO restrooms at this particular station, or I missed them Overall great way to travel locally and especially to a Broncos game, like I am tonight.

Five Stars for Connivence, dependability, comfortable seating, with accessible seating for those with disabilities, bike racks for those traveling with a bike luggage racks & friendly security for a safe ride.

The problem is, because of RTD's asinine pricing scale for regional tickets, the Lakewood-Wadsworth station charges for parking if you don't live within certain boundaries created by RTD and the DMV. A fact that is not disclosed anywhere clearly and that I was unaware of until I received a notice. Public transit is supposed to be an equalizer, a method of transportation for everyone of every class, but RTD continues to impose barriers that make it challenging to even afford to get to work.

I like coming to this station because it's one zone closer to union station which equals a $3.50…read moresavings roundtrip. It's the furthest you can get from Union Station and stay within 2 zones, if you want a parking lot because the Garrison station has no parking. I've never had a problem finding parking here and it only takes about 25 minutes to get to Union Station. This is definitely my pick-up station of choice on the W line.

Save time, save money and ride the train from the airport to Golden CO! It's easy, it's cheap and if you are 65 there is even a discount. Park at the Jeffco line because it's free and a safe place to leave your ride and not have a hassle fighting for a space downtown. The government building is right next door to the West line so no worries about your car. The train is clean and you don't have to stress the traffic.

There are two ticket machines; one takes cash and card and the other is card only. So many reasons to ride the light rail! Avoid busy traffic, avoid parking hassles and fees, see some cool sights, have a few drinks downtown without worrying about a DD, and support public transportation!! People watching is never disappointing either. Usually takes us about 40-45 minutes to get to Union Station. My only complaint about all of these stations is they need more ticket machines. This one isn't as much of a problem as Union Station or Pepsi Center where we have waited 45 minutes after an event to get our tickets. But we have missed a train a time or two here because we are waiting in line. Yay for public transportation!!

It makes for an easy and quick way to get downtown and to each of Denver's major sporting venues. No DD required for a night of fun, gotta love that! Also an easy connect to the A Line at Union Station if you're headed to the airport. Sustainable, safe, and clean. I love a good public transportation system. Couldn't recommend RTD more!

This station is 10/10 the roughest one on the W line. Getting more visibility the last few months…read more(mar-apr 2023) from rtd security, but definitely keep your eyes open on who is getting on the train here. Enormous homeless camp on north side between Lamar and Sheridan station on the creek - not helping. Literally tons of trash and nobody seems to care. Sad

The Gold Strike Station, along the RTD G Line, provides an easy commute option for local employees, residents, and visitors. East Arvada, where the Gold Strike Station is located, includes industrial, residential, and agricultural areas. Sidewalk and bike lane improvements on 60th Avenue between Fenton and Wolff have begun. Public Art at the Station The art chosen for the Gold Strike Station is "Gold Pour" and commemorates the first documented gold strike in Colorado at the nearby confluence of Ralston and Clear Creeks. Shimmering gold made of glass and mosaic tiles will appear to pour over the Station wall. Paying homage to Arvada's history, including Colorado's first gold strike, artist Aaron T Stephan is creating the "Gold Pour" work. Parking: 330 Spaces Travel Time to Union Station: 13 Minutes More stops along the G line. This is the closest station to my home. Westminster (B line) is close too. Not as many amenities as some of the larger stations but plenty of parking so who cares?! Bike parking and lockup is available as well as spots specifically for motorcycle. Drop off spots are clearly marked, wide spaces, and easy to read signage to going westbound or eastbound on the train.
