Inferno Strength: This was my first heated lifting class. Luckily we weren't using heavy weights, not sure I'd want to sweat when lifting heavy!!! The max weight was maybe 20lbs? 25 lbs? I definitely enjoyed the class. There were a lot of bilateral and unilateral moves using weights. In the last part of the class, we were able to do sets of our favorite exercise. Inferno Hot Pilates /Pilates Sculpt: The class started off on the floor, then standing up, so being in the back and the music loud, it was a little hard to follow along, but I improvised. Everyone was going at their own pace, so that made it a little harder to see/follow the instructor. There were a lot of bilateral and unilateral moves using light weights and the block. This class left me sore for the rest of the week, so definitely worth it! The signs are little confusing as some say they do not provide mats, but it looks like there were some available (packaged and not). Also, they say late comers won't be admitted, but a couple people showed up late for one of the classes. There is a separate weight lifting area, for separate lifting classes, which I would love to try. It looks like there are about 5 different classes offered and only one of each class each day. They provide toiletries in the bathroom and have combination lockers. There is parallel parking in front and a full parking lot in the back. Would I return? for sure!

I didn't think I'd last through the heat but somehow the instructors and my water bottle helped me push through the pain. Autumn was very funny with the yelling through the pain during the 5:30 am class (I was screaming inside during all the pulsing). I loved her energy. Shelly helped correct my form during Pilates and was so great with instructors and Sara was super encouraging and helped recommend the right weights for each exercise. Couldn't have asked for a better experience for my first time exercising in a million degrees. Overall, great gym with wonderful people and amazing instructors. My favorite part is the lavender towel in the end. I hope to take more classes when I'm in the area!

Booking classes is hard, the routines are random…read moreso you aren't targeting your muscle groups in a systematic way, and it's easy to have bad form without them noticing--which means you're ineffective or going to injure yourself, but the final straw was the poor customer service. If you need to pause your membership for any reason, you must give 14 days advance notice. So if you sprain your ankle, you're paying for half the month anyway. They will also only pause for two weeks max unless you provide them with a dr note. Like you're a child. They charge for no show and for late cancels, even when the county shuts down for snow. They once charged me a no show fee in error. I promptly let them know I was there. They told me they checked surveillance footage and didn't believe me (I'd used the wrong reformer). They seem to think they are a reform school and their clients are teenagers who are trying to cheat them. I'm too old to have this kind of hassle just to exercise haphazardly three days a week at whatever time slot they happen to have available. For my $ and time it would be better to lift weights.

The studio itself is tucked away in an office park off of rt 29. Actually, if you take the hot lanes on 495 (like I did) to get there the rt 29 exit drops you off almost exactly where you need to be. Epiphany Pilates offers a variety of classes; mat (levels 1-3), reformer (privates and duets), yoga and bootybarre. So there is something for everyone. They have a large open studio space for the group classes and then two smaller rooms for privates. I like the studio set up; this way, you don't feel like you are interrupting anyone's session. I enjoyed my time at Epiphany Pilates, I would recommend the private sessions to anyone wanting to learn more about form and technique. I am also interested in going back for some bootybarre. Eurona clearly has a passion for what she does, and her studio is reflection of that.

Little did I know how strong it would make me physically and mentally and I stayed consistent and grew my practice to a level I didn't think I was capable of. The teachers here are so observant and pay attention to each practitioner. I never once felt pressured to catch up with the class but was taught to own each practice as my own. Johnathan has to be one of the best teachers I've been fortunate enough to learn from. Jayme, Michelle, Gretchen all have such unique and amazing teaching styles and make yoga feel like your own personal practice- and not a commercial exercise class. That is incredibly important to me. They have pole classes and Lyra and fabric - super fun! They may have more, but those are the ones I've seen and considered. Since I'm relatively new to aerial arts, I've only taken a few classes here for Lyra and fabrics, but I have loved the classes. The class size is 6 or fewer, so your instructor has plenty of time to help you if you're lost, confused or, you know, stuck in the air. The instructors are talented individuals who take the time to model the skills and are adept at figuring out how to help you see the skills from different perspectives. They change cues and point out different muscles, movements and positions to cater to the student. There are mirrors in the front of the aerial studio, so, you can see what you're doing. It is helpful, but it can be a little daunting. I've never had a problem finding parking here. The cost is affordable as far as aerials arts classes are priced. There are options for class packages if you are interested in going regularly. Have fun, it's a blast!

I usually purchased a block of 10 classes.Good for 3 months, although with the pandemic as well as her missing classes she was good about making up classes missed. However in the spring when my son began began playing soccer I couldnt make all the classes. And I guess by now her classes had started to get more full. So when I had a break from soccer I tried to register, called her and found out she would no longer honor the 5 remaining sessions I had paid for, nor the remaining mat classes. She said I could have attended the advanced class she held during the week. I had actually tried one of these classes only to be called out by her during the class, informing the other members that they were getting an easier workout due to my presence. After that I no longer felt comfortable attending this class. Anyway, make sure you either never miss a class or get in writing what the terms for makeup classes are before signing up.

I love the fact that even in small group settings Freda pays attention to each of her clients and makes sure they are in correct form. Her prices are better than any of the other studios I visited in the area! Pilates is great for the body and it's so important to have a good instructor. That is why I LOVE coming to Esenyl's. I can feel the difference in improvement in my core strength and balance. When I come in after work I come in with the look of stress and major tension, but I leave class feeling like I just had a full body massage. We take the time to stretch in every class and work on troubled spots. There's even a stretching class that's absolutely AMAZING! I say that because my body felt so good at the end of the class and slept like a baby that following night. If you're looking for a really good place for pilates or yoga, Esenyl's is the place to be.
