I had a lovely, relaxing massage today by TJ, one of the students. This was my first time at this location and I think I prefer it over the Oracle location as it is quieter inside. The room had the perfect darkness and the music was very soothing. I would not have guessed TJ was a student, he did a pretty good job! I have been a member of Rubs for a couple years. The work they do is very good, however I find the customer service to be lacking. Specifically, I had once booked a service with them and they had to chnage the date 3 times on me because of various reasons (I understood and went along with them). The next appointment that I had unfortunately my infant was extremely sick so i attempted to cancel that morning - I wasn't expecting anything beyond the cancelation and was even willing to pay for late cancelation, so that wasnt the issue - it was the rudeness of the person who took the call and didnt even bother to be courteous and instead began to lecture me on how i need to respect staff (shocking after 3 reschedules by THEM 10 mins before my appointment). So again, nothing against their girls, and their products, and perhaps my experience was isolated but I am not interested in going back to them even though i have an active membership. I did find a better place since and am happier with the results. read more

I have been coming to this location for a few years now and am always happy! I'm not a member, but I usually get the escape package --a 50 minute massage and a mini-facial--which is $99 whether you're a member or not. Other services have different pricing options based on whether you're a member or not. Based on my schedule, I usually have a different massage therapist, but they've all been fantastic. Last night I got a massage from Adora and she was especially great! Very professional and attentive to my needs! I plan on seeing her again. I got my mini-facial from AJ and he is top-notch. They are lucky to have someone so knowledgeable and passionate about skincare. He gives the best facial massages too! I've had other estheticians and they've been great as well. I visited here last weekend with my boyfriend and we both had a great massage session. I had purchased a $100 gift card from Rubs for my boyfriend's birthday last month as he had never had a professional massage done before. He said he enjoyed it a lot. I used to get professional massages done and have been looking for a new place near me since moving. And I think I have found it! This massage studio was very friendly from start to finish. My massage therapist listened to exactly what I wanted and had the perfect amount of pressure thru the whole session. A bonus item they provided was hot towels on my back, neck and feet. That felt so good! Rubs has an annual membership you can purchase which will give you discounts on all of their services at any Rubs studio location. When i called back a got a very rude front desk receptionist that didn't have the information and was short with me. I was happy here until today. I became busy and missed my massage. When I called to appologize and reschedule I was told they have a 24 hr policy to cancel and charge my CC the full amount. First of all why is my CC on file wirhout my consent. It was my first missed appt. I've been getting massages here for about 7 years, most of that with a "membership". I don't normally go to the same therapist repeatedly, because I often schedule at the last minute, and they typically book up well in advance. That said, one of the great things about Rubs is they have a good-sized staff, and can almost always fit me in on the same day I call in. Like any service business, the quality of the therapist will vary somewhat from person to person, but I have never been disappointed at Rubs. Just returned from a 90-minute session with Veronica, she is very skilled, before that I had a 2-hour session with Kassandra and she is phenomenal. Rubs is run very professionally. They have a full-time receptionist, the waiting area is pleasant, and the session rooms are always spotlessly clean. One thing they could improve on is their online booking through their website - they've made some improvements to it, but it is still pretty clumsy to use. I normally just call in, it's a lot quicker. The prices are reasonable, and they have held the line pretty well on not bumping them up. A membership is worthwhile if you go more than about 4x/year, which is pretty easy to do. Plus you get member pricing if you bring in a guest (one-time only per guest). I've done that several times when we've had out-of-town guests. I like that they have two categories and prices for their therapists. The "classic" staff are typically a lot less experienced, but if you are just looking for a relaxing experience you can save a few dollars by going that way. You'll pay a little more for the "signature" therapists, but they will be much more versatile with how much pressure they can bring to bear, specialized work on various areas of the body, different techniques, etc. I have back problems, so more often than not I'll go to one of the classic therapists. Last but not least I like the fact they are local, yet they have a number of locations around town. Kinda like Eegees!! I intend to continue to patronize Rubs for the foreseeable future as a happy customer. read more

Meegan (not a typo) gave me an awesome deep tissue massage. If you're looking for a female masseuse with a strong touch, she's the one. I don't get a massage looking to relax--I go looking for change in how my muscle tissue feels and moves. That's exactly what I got. I left feeling looser and more mobile. If you suffer from chronic pain and physical therapy/chiropractic treatment just isn't enough, go to Rub's. Even if those treatments ARE enough go to Rubs anyways. I've dealt with scoliosis-related back pain for over a decade and had a botched surgery a few years ago. After moving to Tucson I spent a while warily looking for a reputable place to get massage therapy. Sure, pop-up places are nice for the regular Jack and Jill, but having health issues makes you very wary of your providers. Stumbling upon the lovely people working at Rubs has been a blessing. Massage therapy here has helped me immensely with pain management and enhancing my life quality. I've had several massage therapists here over the past year or so that I've been coming to Rubs and all of them have their own strengths and abilities, so try a few appointments before knocking it. You'll find the one, I promise. My favourite is massage therapist is Autumn. She is lively, funny, sweet, and literally a magician. I walk away with results that last for weeks and longer. I've referred all of my relatives and am working on getting some friends to her, because she is just that good. It's a painful hour, yes. But that's why you get long-term results. Every body part she's worked on (and she can work on anything, even your fingers!) functions so much better than it has in ages. Motions you've forgotten your body can do will be restored. I'm in town visiting for the holiday. I had some free time and was feeling very sore in my forearms and calves. I specified this to the massage therapist who proceeded to ignore my requests completely. He did focused work specifically around my shoulder blades for 15 mins then spent the remainder of the 80 minute session essentially rubbing lotion into my skin. I was cold the entire time. Not only was the massage horrible he rubbed super fast as if it was a race or he was late for something. Not relaxing at all. They literally mean rubs...just rubs, no massages are given here. Don't waste your time. This 80 minute session with CBD cost me $140. read more

So my boyfriend bought me a gift card for Christmas 2 years ago. I had been going to the same massage therapist at my chiropractors office for years but due to the hours wasn't able to go often. So I used my card at the Wrightstown location and was very pleased. Everyone was polite and friendly. The facility was clean and nice. There are several locations and extended hours that fit my schedule. Since then We have bought a yearly membership- twice! And now frequent the Oro Valley location most often. I will only go to this Rubs location and the one on Rita Ranch. Kassandra is super awesome and if you want a deep tissue massage she is your gal. The staff is super friendly and they are very considerate of time. Appreciate this for all my massaging needs. They are going to be doing a $4 increase on massages, get the membership, well worth it if you are like me and get a massage every month. I have consistent migraines and back pain and my body knows when it is time for a massage. They adopted Spa Solai, but I feel that place is more pricey than this place. My wife and I went here as a Christmas gift for ourselves today and it was amazing!! Neither of us have had massages before and we were treated very well for our first time. The rate for two people getting a one hour massage was $120, which we found to be totally worth it. Wow so this was my first time having a professional massage. What a experience and this place was very nice. The rooms, the lobby, and bathrooms are very clean with nice décor. The staff were very nice and helped us determine what was best for us. Including when I called to setup the appointment the staff was very helpful on getting all the information needed for our visit. My husband and I had a couples massage with a great price. Our massage therapist's were great at communicating and making sure we were comfortable.
