I am truly surprised that this place can stay in business seeing how the only way to get someone who speaks English is for the woman at the desk to call someone on a cell phone you can speak to. From reading other reviews, it is clear this is not uncommon, and my husband told me he had the same experience when he wanted to buy me a gift certificate. I only went there on the recommendation of a friend, but I guess my friend has never had body work done at a professional massage business. There were no questions about past injuries, parts of the body they need to be careful with, what type of massage I would like, whether I wanted a man or a woman, etc., and I don't think the people working there are truly licensed massage therapists, but instead maybe received their training in China. The woman up front when I came in couldn't even understand that I had an hour long appointment at a certain time and had to call on a cell phone so I could speak to a woman who spoke English. After disrobing, the only thing to cover my backside was a small bathtowel. I tried to cover myself with it but a woman came in and pulled it off of me, leaving me totally naked before she put a sheet over me. Why was the sheet not already on the table for me to cover myself with? She then halfheartedly worked on my back, putting pressure on it for about 4 minutes and then left the room. After a few minutes wait, a man then entered the room. Apparently he was going to be giving me my massage instead. The only communication from either of them was "hard, medium, soft?" He was not very gentle and while moving my limbs, especially my legs and feet, he would just lift them and drop them on the table. He used hot stones at one point which felt nice, but when he left to get them, he just walked out and I laid there waiting a couple of minutes not knowing why he left or if he was even coming back. He left a total of four times during the massage without me knowing why. Surely they could learn a few English phrases such as "Hot stones...I will be right back." I felt violated by the time it was over as he dropped the sheet on my back to the point that the top of my bottom was exposed and then massaged my glutes all the way to my butt crack. While on my backside, he tucked the sheet in between my legs right up to my privates which felt inappropriate, and then proceeded to lift both legs in a circle and then drop them from a foot above the table. He lifted them so high, I felt exposed. He wiped all the oil off of me very roughly with a damp towel that started very warm but was ice cold by the time he finished. I could go on and on, but this was the worst massage experience of my life and I have had a lot of body work done over the years. When I went to pay they wouldn't allow me to include my tip from the gift card balance but insisted that I pay for that separately. It was fine. I wanted more focus on my feet and shins but I didn't get that. The masseuse was good and actually did a great job on my back but I really wanted a good foot rub. I didn't get that. I saw from the clock on the wall there was 20 minutes of my 1.5 hours left and he hadn't touched my feet. I had to stop the scalp massage and ask him to please do my feet. Unprofessional and their towels smells. I have been there multiple times and noticed a musty smell in the towels they use. The thing that did it for me is they booked another client that conflicted with my scheduled appointment. Twenty minutes into the massage the receptionist interrupted my session and my masseuse left for 15 minutes in the middle of my session to talk to the other client. This was a very weird experience and I will not return. I was asked to fully unclothe. You cannot give feedback during your massage because they do not speak any English. I wanted my IT Band worked on but that wasn't going to happen. This massage did not focus on the same muscle areas that a licensed therapist would. Stopped by again and had another fabulous massage. Was asked how long did I want and how much pressure if any specific areas bother me. I opted for an hour full body massage with hard pressure. My masseuse was Lilly she was excellent and communicated well during massage she was concerned about pressure and if I was ok. I was so tense and really needed a good massage. She added hot stone and warm massage oil. She paid close attention and felt a knot in my shoulder blade and worked it out so it didn't hurt and released it but had to work on it for a while I am so much better for it today and very grateful. She even stepped on my back and glutens worked out tension. Hot towels after always feel so good and soothing. Very very disappointing experiences here and the only thing good about this place is Wendy. Sometime last year, I booked my first massage and had a terrible experience. The massage therapist stopped the massage and left the room seven or eight times during my one hour massage. To answer the phone, greet guests at the door, talk to someone in the hallway. I was absolutely astounded by the lack of professionalism. I reached out to the business owner personally and was given a free massage as consolation. It was very nice and I had my massage by Wendy at that time and it was great. This time around I made an appointment with Wendy who is fabulous. When I arrived I was told Wendy was not available for my massage (even though she was working; I saw her). I was disappointed but decided to just go ahead with a 90 minute massage with the other person they offered. The massage I had was astoundingly bad. Rushed, careless, unfocused. Massaged one hand and didn't massage the other, for example. Much of the massage was literally light rubbing of oil on the skin in random and haphazard areas even though I specified firm to deep pressure. Rubbed oil up the leg and back and down the arm, repeat. Carelessly. The lady's nails scratched into me. I've never had a massage like this where I just wanted to leave. 50 minutes through I was feeling really frustrated and realized I wanted to just do 60 minutes as paying for 60 minutes was better than paying for 90. So I ended the massage early DURING the massage for the first time in my life. I've gotten 60-70 massages in my life and never have I had a worse massage. I didn't even get the full 60 minutes; when I notified her at 50 minutes that I would like to end at 60 minutes, she proceeded to get on her cell phone with her boss and talk right in front of me, then walked out, as she was very confused. Then she just came back and wipes the oil off me. Icing on the cake, when it was time to tip on my card, I specifically told them $12 which was actually 20% tip on what was a terrible experience (I was being nice because they were nice and I don't like to screw people over). Some how even though I authorized $12 they "mistakenly" rang me up for a $20 tip (almost 30 percent!). I told them I wasn't OK with this. They scrambled to find me some cash, which wasn't enough, and I left the door having over tipped for what was a very poor experience. I normally would not leave such a terrible review about a local business, but after two bad and unprofessional experiences there it is deserved. I will not return. Oh, forgot to mention that for the first 15 minutes of my massage some employee was yelling / talking loudly in the background that was easily audible through the thin walls. read more

I would have given it a 4 star before today. I have been there about a half dozen times. The therapist that I had an an apointment with was not available and I accepted a substitute. I am not in the habit of tipping a massage therapist. Today I was shamed into doing just that! the receptionist, with the therapist by her side asked where the tip was. I have been an Oasis customer 2018. I give them a 4 rating. Pros: The facility is clean, the staff is pleasant, and the ambiance (low lighting, soft music) is very pleasing. Cons: As a customer, you try to find a masseuse whose technique closely matches your needs as each therapist uses techniques that are specific to them and no one else. My favorite masseuse is Wendy. However, a few times when I've made an appointment with Wendy, a substitute walked in when I was already on the table. There was no explanation for why Wendy was not there. Although one of the substitutes was also quite good, the other was not. I noticed another review on Yelp from Feb. 2022 with the same complaint. Communication (language barriers) are also an occasional problem. These are the only issues that prevent me from rating Oasis a 4.5 or 5. Just had my first massage here and Lisa was my masseuse. She was friendly but not chatty, which I prefer since it's a time to unwind. I asked for medium pressure since I haven't been in a long time and knew I would have many knots. She hit all the right places and really tried to work out the knots but they're solidly there and I need to keep going to get them out. She used hot stones which I was expecting and was really nice. I will be back and will get who I get to be able to compare masseuses. She went over on time by about 10-15 mins. Score for me! She was great. 4 stars only because I've been to another place that I no longer live by that was amazing at stretching my body as well but hey, it's not a stretch place, it's massages. The people here were really nice, but we had our appointment at 3pm. The lady on the phone said to be there before 3 to get started. They did not take us in until 3:30. We needed the 3pm due to an engagement afterwards and she said no problem. But that did not happen. We but a hot stone massage on Groupon for our back and feet. When arriving they said it would be a mixed massage with back and feet only, we literally had the hot stones for less than two minutes on our back only. The rest of the massage was done without hot stones. It was very disappointing to say the least. For a full body massage it was to be 20 more dollars per person. They barely spend any time on my legs, arms and feet. We will not be returning. The guy at the front was pushy for a tip. If it is your first time ever booking a massage like me, definitely do not go to this place. I will start by saying that the massage itself was good. However, the staff were incredibly unprofessional and rude. By far the worst experience I've ever had, especially when I went there to destress and feel better. I ended up leaving with so much anxiety and disappointment. The staff speak little to know English at all. Upon my arrival, I was handed a cell phone to which a woman asked me what I was there for. I explained I booked an appointment online through Groupon. She then explained that the massage is only 30 minutes for the upper body and 30 minutes for the feet which I didn't have a problem with. at the end of the session I was met with another woman who tried to charge me for a service that was already paid for. When I explained, she handed me the cell phone again with the same woman on the other end to which I had to explain that I already paid for the massage beforehand. Immediately after the woman behind the counter, very rudely and aggressively said, how much are you gonna pay for the tip? As I mentioned before, this is my first time, going for a massage. I wasn't aware that a tip was required. I told the woman on the other side of the counter. She then got very angry, and said yes, you have to tip the lady that gave you the massage. I was embarrassed, I did not prepare for this. It didn't say anything about having to leave a tip or that a tip was at my discretion even on the website. I did not have any cash on me. I explained that to her, and she started speaking in another language to the massage therapist. She then yelled at me and said hold on. Don't go anywhere somebody's going to call you right now again I spoke to the woman on the phone completely caught off guard. I tried to explain that I paid for the service online and I didn't know that a tip was required. I now had two very upset women in front of me and another woman on the phone, who then explained that the tip was not required. Which, then I asked, why am I being talked to in this manner then? This whole experience was a complete disaster. I left and went straight to an ATM to get a tip that I didn't know what I needed. I went back to try to pay the lady that gave me the massage and was harassed by the same woman behind the counter asking me what do I want? And that that other woman that gave me the massage was busy and then explained that I just wanted to leave her a tip. And much to my surprise she then said hold on a second let me go get her.
