Joelle has been cutting my hair for two years, helping me assess my scalp and getting it in the best shape possible to assist with hormonal hair loss. With her recommendations it has gone from sad and lifeless to moist bouncy curls and I have already seen some regrowth. Today, I was treated to two hours of pampering ... first at the head spa and then our usual cut and style time. The head spa was a relaxing retreat ... my hair and face were given deep moisturizing ... I could feel my face soaking in the moisture from the mask as if it were having a nice drink. My facial skin is very reactive to allergies and I had zero trouble with today's treatment because Joelle is very particular about getting natural beauty products in that enhance without any harsh, unnatural ingredients. I have been seeing Joelle for 3 years and absolutely love what she does to my hair. When I first saw her, I told her I wanted to keep the length but wanted to add red and not have high maintenance. What I mean is not having to come see her every 6 to 8 weeks. She said great let's do this and she did it. And all in a reasonable price. She has continued to add flare to my hair. I went from doing just a simple baulyage to do bright colors going reds to purple to even blue and green. And when I did the blue and green, I told her I wanted to do russian roulette with my hair. I asked for my long hair to be cut slightly below my shoulders in a lob. No layers (I hate them).What I got was just under my chin and more layers than I've ever seen. This is not even close to what I asked for! I know it's only hair and it will grow back, but I am seriously traumatized. I've never hated my hair more than I do right now. However, I have to say that Joelle seems like a very nice person and was helpful in getting me around her salon (I'm in a wheelchair). She was very willing to try to fix my color, but it was obvious that she and I were not on the same page. I wish her nothing but happiness and success going forward. I drive 300 miles each way to have Joelle cut my hair, that's how much I trust her and love what she does with my hair. She's intuitive and skilled, and every time she cuts my hair I get tons of compliments from friends & strangers. The first time I went to her, I told her to do whatever she wanted because I was sick of my old dated hair style but couldn't imagine what else would look good on me. She gave me a perfect makeover cut; it was easy to take care of and expanded the range of my personal style while still being 'me'. After that I wasn't able to come up to Seattle for awhile, and the other 2 stylists I saw back home just didn't compare One of them actually butchered my lovely do, and fortunately I was up in Seattle a few weeks later and Joelle fit me in for emergency hair repair and gave me the best cut yet. Since then I do whatever I can to be up in Seattle at haircut time. Because I tell her "do what you think will look good", it's always a little different, and I always LOVE it. Leaving very happy from Joelle's today! Would recommend her to anyone looking for a great hairstylist any day! Her salon is run out of her home but don't you worry because she won't be washing your hair out at a kitchen sink. She has a very nice set up to the side of her home that will make you feel like you are at an actual salon. She has the whole set up, including a washing station just as you would see at any other salon chair you would typically go to. You can either tell Joelle what you want or say "make me look good" and she will work her magic! I have never left Joelle unhappy and I have been going to her for as long as I can remember!
