I heard the choir practice one day and thought I have to find out why they are so happy. A choir of 250 ppl, alter calls, a 2 hr service. Time went fast I was rocking and rolling, I was part of the experience. Jim Cymbala the passionate Paster his wife Carol the choir director were natural leaders. I had goose bumps from the service. The Holy Spirit experience lasted all wk and if not Tuesday was prayer night. Nothing compared to the songs Carol wrote and my insides were hungry for more of that energy. Time past I became disconnected. Bounced around church's but nothing gave me what they delivered. Missing that " food" I went back after 25 yrs I felt home. We were all older, his daughter in the choir director it's a bit smaller but packs the same punch. Devoted ppl in Gods house. Happiness, Jesus , some talk in tongues, scared me at first, I felt acceptance, like a car wash for the soul. I left feeling fed, shining and new. Till next Sunday it's high test gasoline for the spirit and soul.

Bible discourses are easy to understand and always based on the Bible. Every meeting starts with kingdom melodies and a prayer. Everyone is dressed in church appropriate clothing but no one is there to judge your appearance. Upon entering you are welcomed by all. You immediately feel the peace of God. Each meeting lasts about 1 hour 45 mins. There are no statues or prayer aids. Prayers are directly to Jehovah God (that's God's name) and through Jesus the son. Definitely a must visit. The knowledge he had attained in this school from Sept. to March put him so far behind his peers that I had to hire a tutor and work with him endlessly to get him up to grade level and prepared for the state exam. This school operates a full grade behind public schools and other private schools. This school is ONLY great if you plan on continuing with a Catholic education through high school which is also behind academically. Additionally, he was often bullied not by students but by his teacher and actually had to endure racial comments made to him and other minorities in class. Horrible.

And the second I went to interview the Imam for my school newspaper. I can say this about this mosque. They care about the community. The Imam and staff are very friendly and welcoming. They really want to be part of the community and want the community to be part of their mosque even if they aren't members. They are open to people of all faiths and backrounds as the iftar welcomed Jews, Christians and others not just Muslims. And I can say this mosque is a very warm place. The Imam is a very kind man. He really impressed me. The President of the mosque is also a great person to meet if you ever come to the mosque. This mosque is a little different from most mosques I have been to in how they do things (such as they chant thoughout the day) but even though I wasn't used to that I felt a sense a unity at this mosque that was quite refreshing.

The Clergy and the Pallotine Sisters who taught us had an everlasting impact on the adults we have become today. Thank you Our Lady of Grace, for all that you have given me throughout the years. I've been a member for roughly about 18 years now and will continue to support this temple. At times where I was lost, I have found guidance here. The moments of despair where things might have felt like it was the worst, this is where I sought refuge and found hope. So many values, morals, and ideals have been instilled within my character due to my experiences here; I can and will never forsake my temple. Having being grown and reared by my fellow church members, this temple has shaped a portion of who I am. So many things it has given me, and it asks for nothing in return but complete and selfless devotion in whichever way I could. Whether it be through the medium of music or simply just opening my mouth and joining in simple hymns, there is no requirement or limitations on prayer. A simple reminder, service is usually held on Sunday mornings from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and major Hindu holidays are usually observed. God does not discriminate and materializes himself/herself in many different forms and ways. There is only one way to immerse yourself in this temple, and that is to come and experience it for yourself. Jai Shri Ram.
