No one is ever there maintaining anything -- and the building is a hundred years old and badly needs a lot of attention. The yard turned into a minefield of the poop of dog owners who don't care to do anything better. The dirty dogs that run the place openly tried to cheat me out of my security deposit when I moved out. Looking for a studio apt? Look elsewhere.

I spent six weeks applying for an apartment and after paying the application fee and security…read moredeposit was sent the wrong lease for a more expensive apartment and a non existent pet fee attached to the lease. I contacted the leasing office to get the apartment I originally applied for and got everything corrected. I was told I had everything done and would be set to move in the next month and they would sent the lease to me some time that week. What followed was a never ending request for more documents and attempts to get me to switch to a different more expensive unit which led me to believe the unit I applied for was gone and they were just wasting my time hoping they could upsell me. The day before I was set to move in I was told that they weren't able to provide me a lease despite qualifying for everything. Arguing with the complex would just be a waste of time so I was rushed now with twelve hours before I was supposed to be out of my old apartment to find a new place when most places where now unavailable. It took three weeks before being able to move into my new apartment right around the corner to court ave lofts but those three weeks cost me nearly two grand in hotels and needing to eat out for all my meals. It took forty five days to get the safety deposit back after everything else. Applying to court ave lofts irreparably harmed me. I would not recommend anyone apply to live here with the damage it has done to my life.

They loiter in the Halls , trash the Halls and sleep in the exercise rooms when she doesn't have room. And now we have a Van in our parking lot that a few sleep in. When her Apartment gets too full an old camper pulls up near the Dumpster and it's a Hillbilly outing in the car park. Weed smell in the building, Body oder and the scents of Humanity make a not so great environment. Homeless coming in and out all hours of the Day and Night. It's a problem that many restaurants want fixed but won't.

I turned my possible lease replacement to venture and venture told them that there are no rooms available. It got a lil fishy when i was still being charged money after people were still asking me about the apartment. So i called venture and ask them if anyone have taken over my lease. they told me "no, no one have... and the room is still available... and they are still ACTIVELY looking for an replacement" I then recalled them to act like a prospective tenent... i asked them about the exact apartment and they told me it was unavailable and that someone is still living there. I got angry and told them i was the same guy who actually left that apartment. I got angry and some things were said I warn them i will sue them if i paid for another months rent... A day after i fought with them over the phone, some one took over my rent. These people are criminals and i would not recommend them! There is also several more stories i would like to add about venture but do not have the time to thoroughly explain them but here is a small list. -made me pay for a lamp that fell on me while i was sleeping -made me pay for carpet cleaning which i have already paid for -never set up my internet so i had to use the password from the previous owner. -the women who work at the office are never helpful - the communal washer and dryers are always stinky and are sometimes broken. i remember once the dryer didnt work and all my clothes were soaking wet. so i had to pay the washer and dryer twice. -Many many many more complaints Do not do business with venture. I recommend 3000 grand or live anywhere but not a place managed by venture.

While waiting for the outside vendors Curt not only kept me updated, put also brought 2 space heaters to my apartment (Since my mechanical closet was effected by the outage). MidAmerican and Baker electric arrived shortly after lunch and had the electricity on within an hour. I can't thank Curt enough for calling all the right people but also for his professional and caring attitude.

The downside of living at 3,000 Grand apartments is the community laundry facilities on each floor. The machines are old and break down often, fellow neighbors rarely clean up after themselves and leave their laundry in the machines for several hours. The building is old but solid. It definitely needs investment. Overall experience for me was quite good.

The minimal personal maintenance requests I made were fixed promptly, while the building wide changes seem to take a bit longer. Noise doesn't seem to travel, unless it is coming from outside. They seem to keep up updating appliance/carpet/flooring pretty regularly. Everything felt nearly new when I moved in. They offer many amenities compared to other buildings in the area - pool, medium sized workout space, library area, putting green, etc. ... none of which I seemed to use. BUT I did take advantage of the underground parking (added charge). It made such a difference in the winter and every day since I didn't have to remember where I parked. The neighborhood and location is great. I moved mainly because they don't allow dogs and I wanted one (and now have one!)
