I think a lot of it is pretty standard... - Return within 90 days with a receipt: Receive purchase price back to original form of payment - Return after 90 days with receipt or anytime with a gift receipt: Receive purchase price as merchandise credit only. - Return without a receipt: Receive current selling price as merchandise credit only. My issue with this change is with their new FINAL SALE policy. - They cut the tags off your brand new items to ensure you can't return them. Therefore my newly purchased, never worn item that I just so happened to score a great deal on... looks not new. Possible pre-owned. What if I planned to gift someone that item? Don't they deserve to know it hasn't been worn and is right off the rack? (Or in my case, I got a supposedly unworn bikini without any tags... which was unexpected. And kind of weirded me out.) If you need to scribble on the tag, over the barcode-- go for it. But I go to Von Maur for the experience and the unique items sold there. It is tacky and off brand to send new items sans tag. (And when I contacted customer service to express my opinion about said two piece. I was basically shrugged off.) I buy plenty of thrift items for myself and even they include a tag... just sayin. This would be a two star, just because of how I feel about the new changes. But I still stand by Von Maur as a quality store. This change may stop me from getting certain items here now. To her horror (yes, I will say horror as it was five days before the big day), her initial gown was a disaster. They were supposed to make a sweetheart line and bring in the dress to fit her very small frame. Needless to say, the neckline was clearly not even and the dress hung off her. To top it off, the store said they could not alter her dress again in time for her wedding that Saturday. While that is a separate issue... she realized the only option was to quickly search for an inexpensive gown elsewhere. It was a Monday that she walked into Seams Sew Fine (an emotional mess) and fell in love with the staff and a gorgeous strapless champagne colored dress. When I went with her on Thursday to pick up the dress it fit like a glove, the bride was glowing and the entire room teared up. She literally went from tears of horror to tears of joy just a few days before her wedding, something NO bride she ever have to experience. The staff at Seams Sew Fine didn't just save the day, they saved the wedding. The team made dramatic alterations to the dress (it was a 12, she was a 6) in just days. Not only did family and friends notice their dedication to make this dress work in a crunch, but we noted they did it with a smile and phenomenal customer service... because they knew how important it was to help a bride and ensure she felt beautiful... even though they had only known her for a matter of days. Fast forward to Saturday, the wedding day, and I can only describe the bride as an angel. When she walked down the aisle and later talked with her 250+ guests, everyone commented on her natural glow and how stunning she looked. I can't imagine what we would have done without SSF. Beautiful gowns are hard to find, but customer service is even harder. They earned five stars across the board from us!!

Since nothing fit at all, we decided to take our business elsewhere and requested a refund. The owner REFUSED to refund a dime of our money, even though nothing was rented, and no services were ever rendered. In the end we had to go about it the hard way by way of a chargeback dispute through my bank...Which we WON. Oh, and we took our business to Men's Warehouse, where they had me taken care of in about an hour, with a tux that fit great, along with amazing customer service.
