Had the worse experience today. Customer service here is really bad. Had walked into the store before a customer sat down to be waited on. The associate never looked at me and my family' just took customer after me. I told the other associate who waited on us. That was extremely rude of her! She apologized, but it still left a sour taste in my mouth about the whole situation. And the person who waited on us was no better! The manager needs to hiring a whole new staff because. Was interested in a new pair of running shoes and not really sure what I needed so I stopped in. Had to wait a short while to be helped but was fitted and shown a variety of shows (probably tried on at least 15 pairs). I forget the guys name who helped me but he was incredibly patient and I finally decided on under armor flow velociti and I love them. Walking down the hall at Delta College I saw a poster hanging on the wall, and as I read it every part of me was screaming, you can do it!! It was a poster for the Bay City Driathlon, and that moment my life changed. I told myself that I was going to cross that finish line running, or crawling, but I was going to race that race!!! However, there are some challenges that I must overcome. One being, FLAT FEET!!! Let me tell you first off, I am 5' 11" and 240 lbs, I don't run unless it's to get the last slice of pizza out the box. I knew I needed shoes that were going to carry me across that finish line. I went to several shoe stores only to be helped with every answer but the right ones. Then I walked into RUNNERS and found a team of people that knew exactly what I needed! I asked for Bill Thompson, the owner, so I could explain to him my mission. Bill put his finger to his mouth, looked to the ceiling in thought, said," hold on," and brought 3 pairs of shoes BUILT FOR FLAT FEET. Yes, they make shoes for flat feet.... And they carry several pairs!! For those of you living with flat feet I don't have to explain. Those of you that don't know, it really sucks and it's painful at times. Having flat feet sucks!! So far I logged approx. 20 miles on a treadmill and working out in them, and let me tell you, my feet don't hurt and I'm not getting shin splints. I hit 2 miles in a good hard run today, and if my body didn't stop, my feet would have wanted to keep going.... When I run, my feet are supported in ways they never have been before. I went in the other day for new shoes for work. I specifically wanted Hoka brand, as I've had and worn out 3 pairs over the years, and they are the most comfortable for me. When I walked in I told the young guy I was looking for Hoka's. He asked if I'd been there before, and I told him yes, several times. He wanted to recheck my measurements. Fine. He then brought out 3 pairs of different brand shoes. None were Hoka. I tried them. Non were comfortable. i Told him that. I then said AGAIN I wanted Hoka. He then told me he didn't have any, and had the nerve to tell me if he had known from the beginning I wanted Hoka we could have saved a lot of time! More like he should have listened to his customer in the first place. I asked if he could maybe order me what I want. He acted as if he couldn't be bothered, and said he didn't know if he could get them. I walked out dissapointed. And will never go back. I'll make the drive to circle quality shoes in midland. They're nicer, and seem to appreciate the business. read more

I ordered a pair of shoes because the store didn't carry my size. They were very kind and shipping was free to my home, however I had to constantly call the store to check order status when 2 weeks went by and I hadn't received the shoes. They informed me that they accidentally ordered the incorrect size and reordered the shoes. Again, they never called to inform me of the status change. At that time I asked them to no longer ship them to me because I was changing addresses and that I would pick them up from the store and to call when they arrive. Shocker, I received no call and when I called to check on the status yet again, they informed me they shipped the shoes to my old address. Absolutely astoundingly. To make a long story short, I still don't have the shoes and it's been over 1 month. Just buy them somewhere else or order online yourself. This store is shockingly incompetent. read more

Great service! I did online research for a safety light and contacted Runners to see if they had it in stock at the Saginaw store, it wasn't however within a day they delivered one from the Mt. Pleasant store. I was pleasantly surprised that it was the same price as a huge online retailer and I didn't have to pay $5.58 for shipping. An added bonus was I could examine it instead of just looking at a photo. read more
