They carry a wide range of quality men's clothing from socks to sweaters to suits to shoes, etc. The diversity of the stock would appeal to a variety of ages. Ryan was extremely knowledgeable but gentle in his approach to sales. She was kind, patient, and had a sense of humour (very appreciated!). We spent almost two hours in the shop. The atmosphere was relaxing and the setting itself is quite beautiful. There are lots of options to choose from in terms of dress styles at varying price points. Basically you decide on the silhouette, then they order the gown customized to your size which arrives in 10 weeks for a rush order or three months for regular delivery. Lovebird also carries bridal gowns, veils, accessories, and prom dresses too. We had such a good experience that the mother of the bride plans to also pick out her dress from this boutique as well. Would highly recommend if you are in the Kingston area and need a special gown for a special occasion!

My problem began when I was led over to a staff member that is clearly tasked with selling as many accessories as possible. For 15 minutes I was subjected to one of the most polished, high pressure, aggressive (think timeshare broker) attempts to up sell that I have ever experienced. Everything from shirts, socks and pocket puffs was pushed on me. "What do you mean you don't have a Christmas office party to go to?" was a memorable comment made to me. I'm a jeans and t shirt guy. I JUST WANTED A BLACK SUIT FOR MY MOTHER'S FUNERAL!!! Finally the guy that fitted me interrupted and took me to the cash register. He didn't apologize, but I could see it in his eyes. Afterwards I did contact Moores about this situation but never received a reply. Too bad for them. Three sons near high school graduation and needing formal wear. Perhaps future weddings. None of that business will go to Moores. As long as I draw breath on this earth I will never step foot in a Moores store. I would sooner pay double for the exact same suit anywhere else than do business with Moores again. If you are reading this I hope you do the same.

I told him I just needed a black suit for a funeral. If the transaction only involved him, I would not have had a problem. Unfortunately he takes me over to a table where a female was waiting. Her job is to watch what you pick off the rack and get tons of accessories ready for the attack. What happened next was one of the slickest high pressure sales pitches I have ever encountered. She had two shirts, a formal and more casual tie, poofs for the pockets, shoes, socks, tie pin and cuff links. After patiently saying no for 15mins and arguing with her that no, I really only wear a suit once every few years. I will not be returning to this location.

The prices are reasonable and Tanya personally delivers your dress to a seamstress for you to have a consultation before you commit to buy.
