I always ask for no pickles on my burger. And they always put the pickles on. And they discontinued their ice cream sandwich. I'm offended.

I would tell anybody I know, and you all, to avoid this location! We have been going there for years but this last year, the food quality had gone way down! Price is higher, quality dramatically lowered. We used to love the burgers and now, and as recently as of today, 5/31/24, they are consistently over done to the point they crunch when you bite into them. The onion rings were rubbery. Even telling their management numerous times and giving an opportunity to improve, nothing has changed. If there was an option for zero stars, that is what I would have selected rather than 1 star. read more

We love runza and miss them in the state we live in. We mention them to friends there and no one has any idea what they are! When we come back to visit, we make sure we stop at least once. This trip we had a cheese runza, a burger, onion rings and a pop to drink. Nothing disappointed us! This was my first visit ever to a Runza restaurant. I had to look up what I was eating after I ordered a Runza sandwich, and I was pleasantly surprised to learn the ingredients. The sandwich was very tasty, and I enjoyed it very much. After I had eaten, I noticed a picture on the wall suggesting ways to dress up the sandwich such as cheeseburger or BBQ chicken style, both of which sound like excellent options to try on future visits when I am back in the area. I also learned that Frings are a combination of fries and onion rings in the same bag. The fries were good for fast food fries, but I really enjoyed the onion rings, so next time I will likely skip the fries for a bag of rings with the combo. I don't eat much fast food anymore, but there was a coupon lying around so I thought why not Runza. The last time I had one was on the way to Lincoln in April, a Runza is perfect car food because--it is an Eastern European version of a beef patty or empanada or pasty or whatever you want to call it. Minced beef and cabbage in a dough pocket. Most Nebraskans are familiar (and I saw a Runza in Loveland, CO btw) so I will get on with the review: it is fast food, but it is fresh so it is worth your while to find a Runza instead of the usual McD/BK/Subway waa waa. Good fries, real onion rings, pretty good burgers. I wouldn't normally give 4* for fast food, but if it keeps anybody from that other sick super-sized stuff in the area (have you tried McCafe coffee? it is horrendous), I have done my little service to the community for today. read more

Used to love love love this location as a child. Now the staff is rude and unprofessional. The older lady taking our order rushed us and didn't give us much time to look even though they weren't busy at all. Place was clean. Food tasted either old or over cooked. The runzas my parents got had barley any meat in them even though they paid over 6$ for just the runza. Come here if your craving it but I don't really recommend it. read more

While visiting family in Nebraska, going to Runza three or four times with in a week and a half is a must. Yes I did say three or four times. This location in Grand Island is on the small side, but the service is very good. If you are looking to eat something local while in Nebraska but don't want to pay a ton of money then you need to eat at Runza (which is fast food). A Runza is a ground beef filled bun with cabbage, spices and a sauce that is kind of like a cream of mushroom (for those of us who make them at home). You may wrinkle your nose...but give it at least a try. If you don't want to be brave and try a Runza, then there are other choices for you. Hamburgers, chili dogs, salads, and the best crinkle cut french fries. read more

Went into to place a togo order and my husband was disappointed that they didn't have chili available. He made a statement about having to go over to Wendy's for his chili then and walked out the vehicle. I finished placing my order and while I was getting my drinks the cashier that took my order decided to start talking and laughing with another worker about my husband. I spoke up and stated how rude that was to be talking about customers right at the front counter, especially when their significant other is still in the store waiting for their order. Let them know that I was very disappointed with their customer service and left. Later in the evening I returned to the store to talk about the incident with a manager. The manager just sluffed it off starting that she is a new employee. I let him know that this is not an excuse for her actions. He just stated "I understand" and left it at that. *EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED WITH THE CUSTOMER SERVICE THAT WAS PROVIDED!!! read more

If you are looking for starch and carbs this is the place! A little more meat could help justify the price. Just another example of a good idea/product that jumped on the Franchise wagon where profits are the objective with quality being the sacrifice.
