The atmosphere was loud, excited. Probably not a place for a romantic dinner. Though the coulple sitting next to me at the bar didn't seemed phazed by all of it. Preferrencs, i'd say. It's a steakhouse and i was looking for something light. I ordered salmon and asked that they cook it medium. And i only wanted one side, a salad, Caesar. The salad was drenched in dressing. I should have asked for dressing on the side. WAAAAY too much. The dressing was flavorful, just 3 times too much for my taste. The salmon was cooked well, dry. My wife and I had our very first dining experience at Texas Roadhouse in Grand Island, Nebraska while traveling from Texas, and it truly exceeded our expectations! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was welcoming and lively, but what really made our visit stand out was our server, Victoria. She was attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect for us. I ordered the herb-crusted chicken with rice, a side salad topped with sautéed onions and mushrooms, along with a house frozen margarita and the $5 Long Island Iced Teas -- everything was flavorful and cooked just right. My wife ordered the catfish with a loaded baked potato and a side salad. While she wasn't completely satisfied with the catfish, Victoria handled it immediately and professionally, making sure my wife was able to get something she enjoyed instead without any hassle. On top of that, the free dinner rolls were absolutely amazing, and combined with the generous portion sizes, we were so full that we had to take most of our meals to go! Overall, this was an incredible first experience at Texas Roadhouse. The food, service, and hospitality were all top-notch. We will definitely be dining here again anytime we're in Grand Island. Also, don't talk in front of guests about other "terrible, nasty " guests or about people that don't tip enough. That's really bad! I had visited this place before. Then I discovered that their steak is never cooked to your liking--it's always either overcooked or undercooked. Restaurant was very cold. We spoke to the supervisor who explained that she was unable to adjust the temperature of the restaurant. The cold air blowing on our table made our food get cold very quickly. It was so cold in the restaurant that it was uncomfortable. The ribeye that we ordered was full of fat and gristle. So disappointing! Then when we went to pay the server, instructed us to use the Ziosk tablet to pay our bill. The tablet did not give us an option to print a receipt so we had to ask another server for a receipt because our server never came back to check on us. read more

So I ask if I can place my order now? He put me on hold to give my order to someone else. After 10 minutes on hold, I ended the call and finished my order online with no code. When I went to pick up, girl at the window seemed to have no idea what was going on. Another person with her said that she wasn't working, but had just come in to visit. When I got to my hotel room, no utensils (am I supposed to eat my salad with my fingers? What about my steak?) Also, there were missing food items. I called to get a refund for my missing items, and again... over 10 minutes on hold. The final issue was, there was a romaine core in the salad. Unacceptable. New York strip, and fresh vegetables. Salad and steak were good. Fresh vegetables were not edible! They appeared to be frozen and were hard and dry and I couldn't even get my fork in them! And they were there instantly, assuring me it wasn't a problem, and had a replacement drink out in minutes. They took what could have ruined a dinner and made it fine. I paid $24 for a 10oz ribeye and half rack of ribs plus two sides. Then you get the bread and peanuts with it. Go somewhere else. Had over an hour and a half wait even though we had a reservation. Didn't even sit us all together despite the reservation and extensive wait and had us split across tables. Waiter brought out 1 basket of rolls(4 rolls) for 9 people. When the waiter brought more rolls he basically threw them down on the table.
