Love Runza! Overall, this is a pretty typically Runza, but a typical Runza is pretty darn good!

Great friendly staff at this location . Food excellent , Dine in was clean and inviting . I live in town , prefer this location !

Just driving through Nebraska and there are Runza's everywhere so I figured I would try it out. I was pleasantly surprised. The fries were awesome and the Runza sandwich itself was really good. People compare it to Maid Rites but in my opinion they're much better. I will definitely stop again when driving through Nebraska for a quick meal. read more

Here's a quick intro to this Nebraska based chain. Hot? Their soft serve ice cream is good better than you'll get at most fast food places. Cold? Get a bowl of chili and a cinnamon roll. If it's Tuesday and it's January or February, the temperature is the price of a Runza. Peckish? Get a Runza, which is a bready cylinder filled with seasoned beef and your choice of accompaniments. Chicken? Get a burger. Good but not extraordinary. Compared to other Runzas, this one is new looking and spacious. Service on my recent visit was quite friendly, but it's hard to recruit staff in a small town like this, so YMMV. This is York, so all meals are served with a side of... wind. Lots of wind. As a person who grew up with home-cooked ethnic Mennonite food, I enjoyed this restaurant. It's definitely fast food but I enjoyed it. The bread tasted fresh and soft and the filling was just right. The fries and onion rings were okay, but nothing exceptional. All-in-all, I recommend and will be back next time I'm in town at meal time. read more

Supper clean, employees show they care. Hayden threatens to put cheese on my burger. But I now like cheese. Five stars.

Always has fresh hot food. Usually friendly and knowledgeable employees. They are also always busy both inside and outside. I always make it a point to stop at a Runza when I'm back in Nebraska visiting family. read more

Awesome place to eat in York, Nebraska. I like that it is not part of a chain restaurant and that you get great service.

We travel a lot for our jobs and this meal was pathetic. I order the cheese version Runza which was very greasy and barely warm. Towards the bottom of the bun it was hard just like the french fries. We also ordered a cheeseburger which was also warm and greasy. Overall, this meal was terrible and I wish we would have gone across the street to Burger King instead. read more

First time at a Runza - traveling through, so we figured it was worth a try. Not a fan. We got a BLT Runza and a Southwest one. Got the wrong sandwich first time around, but they quickly corrected it. Runzas seem to be a very fatty, low-grade ground beef. Served on a somewhat soggy sub bun. The seasonings for the different sandwiches didn't really improve the taste. Bacon was okay though. Service was friendly and fast. Bathrooms were not that clean and out of towels. The whole experience was a pretty bad one. Walked in and the lady was upset bc I was immediately ready to order. I had a baby and my husband wasn't even inside with my toddler. I told her just a moment, as I'm still waiting for a few people. There was absolutely no one in line, so I wasn't holding anyone up. We ordered food and my son wanted ice cream, she told us we couldn't until we got the coupon on the bag. I asked if we could please get one now, and she said it would be the full price and not free bc the coupon was on the bag. Whatever is clever, he's 3 and wants his ice cream now. Lastly, we are military family and we asked if there was a military discount. She said only for the meal of the military member. Thought that was extremely odd that it didn't come off the entire order. Again, whatever is clever. The food wasn't hot, and the runza was extremely greasy. I think the only thing that was eaten by anyone was the ice cream. But the thing that really irked me, was she literally watched us the entire time we were in there. Stared us down the whole time with this snide look. We will never be back, as this was the most uncomfortable experience I've ever had at a restaurant. read more

Food was amazing staff was friendly especially Mike, we are from out of town never heard of Runza. He gave us samples explain the restaurant and origin of it. Was very friendly and sold us on multiple items on the menu. This man absolutely deserves a raise, some of the best customer service I've ever been met with. read more

This place is ok. It's not terrible, but it's definitely not amazing either. I had the cheeseburger runza and frings. The frings were quite good, frings are 1/2 onion rings and 1/2 fries. The runza is a bit greasy for my taste, but is still ok. The service is definitely friendly and pretty fast. If I'm in the area again I may go back. read more

Neat place to try, since it seems to be a local thing. There are none by us! It is greasy but a change of pace. The fries are crinkle style and are pretty good too. For fast food it was good. The service was friendly. I have to say though for a person who is always warm I was freezing in there! I can't remember the last time I had to wear my jacket indoors.
