I love this store! I was actually told about this place by my neighbors kids that got a bunch of dog treats the other day. I was in town so I figured I would check it out. I'm definitely gonna bring my family here when they come into town. Huge selection of Boots, men's clothing, dog food and supplies. If you need baby chicks or bunnies they have those too. The store is pretty big with lots of different items in different categories. Definitely worth a check out. Right as you walk in you can get a free coffee and bag of popcorn to eat. You smell it throughout the whole store. You can also buy a big bag of their popcorn for five bucks which is pretty cheap. I gave four stars instead of five because a lot of the stuff is pretty pricey. read more

Very large farm equipment and various other items store. You'll find a wide range of items like food, animal feed, rabbits and ducks, guns, shooting equipment and ammo, fishing gear, clothing, tools, BBQ items, paint, lawn equipment, and much more. They even provide free coffee and popcorn when you enter the store, so you can browse in comfort. The employees I interacted with were pleasant and helpful. The prices seemed reasonable for most items. Definitely a store I'll visit again and again. My only complaint is it was a bit cold inside during my visit. read more

I forgot Rural King was close to another business I was visiting so I stopped in. As always, the aroma of the popcorn hits you before the sliding door opens. Went straight to the t-shirts to see what I could add to my collection. Next stop, the gun section. I was pricing ammo and in the market to purchase another handgun. The guy behind the counter saw a female and disappeared. I waited at the counter for several minutes , but he didn't return. As I walked away, there was a young man walking to the gun section. I stopped and observed. Would you know that staff member reappeared at the counter. (probably watching through security camera and saw the guy at the counter). He lost a sale which I made elsewhere. This place is clean and the aisles are not cluttered. Need more than one register open when customers are 5 deep in line. read more

I've spent over $100,000 at the store over the last four years. I get 30 bags of grain every two weeks and have them palletize it. I picked it up yesterday and due to rain. I just unpacked it and found I was five bags short. I called them to see if I can get it put back on my card or come pick up the other five bags and the manager wants to argue about it. They just lost my business forever over five bags of grain. read more

I simply love this store. It's always clean and the aisles are never cluttered up. The staff has always been polite and ready to help if you need them. The only reason I didn't give them the 5th star is because alot of times there is only one register open and you have to stand in line to check out. They should have more registers open. read more

Wonderful selection. Love the variety of goods sold there. Problem is in the service. I picked up tools that were placed in such a way that pricing was very difficult to determine. You will need to keep a sharp eye to be sure you don't pay a price different than expected. Granted customers may move merchandise and cause issues. However, this can be minimized by alert staff. The tool I purchased was defective, so I had to return. It was frustrating that associates at the return desk would not acknowledge customers unless customer took the initiative. When I asked who could help me with a return I was told that the woman filling the popcorn bags would be there when she was done. Really? After waiting for a few more minutes I asked the popcorn filler who could help me. She pointed to a third person. This person was also aloof and disengaged from customers. Finally a fourth associate arrived at the desk and we were able to complete the return. This guy didn't seem to care about my dissatisfaction or reason for return. He missed a great opportunity to retain a customer. It should be mentioned that I was frustrated and it probably showed although I did not get ugly with them. My advice to owners/management would be; train your employees on how to interact with customers. There is just too much competition these days to miss the opportunity to provide customers with a positive experience. Not sure if I will ever return. read more

I love going to Rural King, but at this particular location there are never enough registers open. Either hire more employees to run the registers or install some self check-out machines. It's extremely frustrating. read more

Went to store to get a bag of chicken feed. Thought I'd be in and out quick. My wife was waiting in the truck. Only one check out line was open and three cashiers were standing behind service desk playing with their phones. I stood there for what seemed like forever and noticed everyone else was frustrated too. Pushed my cart aside and went to Tractor Supply. Was in and out in less than five minutes. Sorry Rural King, you started out good but have gone down hill quick. I'll be going back to Tractor Supply from now on. read more
