Exceptionally rude employees... dirty, messy store, and again, rude and clueless employees who verbally insult customers. Hire a real manager, promote Clayton.... the only employee that provided good service... and fire the smart- mouth 20- something that got all huffy because he could not understand that i wanted to return an item. read more

Went to get some guinea keets. I got 4 keets and was given one of the ones laying down. I thought it was asleep which is normal for chicks and keets. Boy was i wrong. I get home and realize the poor thing has splay leg and is dehydrated and starving. Cannot stand up, legs to the side unable to move, and being trampled by the others. I decide to call to let them know because i was charged 8.99 per keet which is crazy and it wouldve been a waste of money. Mind you i wasnt in there more than 2 hours ago. Anyways i call and tell them what happened and that i paid for a sick keet. I said i am going to try my best to save it but it may not make it to which they said there is no return, exchange, or refund policy and that i was stuck with a sick keet. I was honestly appalled. Not just because of what was said, but because they allow their chicks with splay leg or any other kind of sickness to just suffer and die a slow painful death. Splay leg is an easy fix if caught early, yet they are never treated. Not one employee knows how to care for poultry, or recognize illness. Im not saying that every employee has to have 10 years farm experience and know everything about poultry to work at a farm supply store. I am saying there should be at least one employee that knows about the animals and livestock being sold. Its irresponsible otherwise. Despite being small animals, they feel just as much as big animals. Im not a vegan, far from it. But i am saying that animals should die ethically and leaving an animal to suffer because of uneducated employees is not ok. I dont recommend getting chicks or any other kind of bird at rural king but if you do, which i completely understand, make sure you speak up if they attempt to give you what looks like a sick chick. Unless of course, you have the ability to treat it. Update: not only did it have splay leg it had wry neck and died 4 hours later. Did everything i could but it died suffering. The fact i had to go through emotional turmoil whilst not being able to be refunded is insane. The employee intentionally grabbed a sick looking chick just to get rid of it knowing i wouldnt be able to be refunded. Sick. Update 2: woke up with 2 more dead. Only one left. All were sick. Yes i know guineas can die unexpectedly, but with this in mind they should not be 8.99 a piece read more

worked here for around 6 weeks, worst place to work. The mangement talks to you as if you were a child or dog, nothing you do is good enough. I never took a break or lunch and still wasn't good enough. This not a place to work if you have any respect for yourself. I wondered why they could not keep staff and now I know why. read more

Nice store, great variety of supplies. We bought many great finds. We plan on going back again in the very near future. They carry many brands of pet products. We bought salsa, jams, beef sticks, jerky, door draft dodger, weighted blankets, dog food, rolling pin, spices. We would recommend. read more

Sad this store sacrifices the welfare of their customers & staff out of greed! This place has a great selection if you can find it. The store is an absolute cesspool. It smells bad and everything is disorganized. The store is just filthy. Remember year before last the popcorn getting tainted with a non food item. And people still gobble that slop down. Don't buy food here either. Half the vacuum packs have been compromised. read more

Do not buy LED lighting from Rural King. I spent 270.00 on three LED high bay lights about 3 months ago and two of them have already stopped working. Rural King only covers for 30 days and says I have to call the (unknown) manufacturer. Rural King is unsure who the manufacturer is because they use various junk Chinese manufacturers who clearly aren't going to support anything. Save your money and buy a quality product from a store who cares about return business. Rural King - you've lost a good customer (and as many others I can convince to go elsewhere). read more

We shop here quite frequently. From sandles and boots, to dog food and bird seed, plants and trees; prices can't be beat! We've bought yard decor and yard chairs and swings and my husband loves to work in the inexpencive jeans. If he ruins the with car greese, no big deal, just go buy another pair! RK Guns is horrible!!!! Worst customer service and worst shipping I have ever experienced online. I literally mean the worst ever. I have order from them several times and it gets worse every time. Will never order from them again. They messaged me to send them my info. So I message like they asked and get the same answer. Then I get an email this morning saying they are canceling my order bc they are having trouble getting my item in stock After 3 weeks waiting. When I had to wait on it to come back in stock to even purchase it. Guess they wanted my information on IM so they could cancel my order. Pathetic. Didn't offer other option or anything.
