Maggie was instrumental in my recovery - she is professional, encouraging and compassionate. I don't believe I could've recovered without her. The entire staff is wonderful. I can't say enough!

I felt it was purposeful from her entire behavior and body language and aggression. Instead of working collaboratively with me to adjust my treatment plan or support my recovery at home, I was abruptly discharged in a minute without consultation . The sudden end to my care and lack of communication were very frustrating . I would recommend looking elsewhere for more consistent and supportive physical therapy care and the lack of training on patient communication. Is this normally how Athletico does discharges. No discharge summary nothing. I had to ask the reason and for paperwork, and I did not get paperwork and discharge summary . Just one liner you are discharged , really surprised by the utmost unprofessional conduct and the lack of concern and lack of continuation of care. Simply unethical and unacceptable behavior

I went for physical therapy following a total hip replacement of my right hip and worked with Felisha, who was FANTASTIC. The first thing she asked was, "What are your goals, and what do you want to be able to do when you're done with physical therapy?" Great question, since some people simply want to be able to navigate their day without pain, and others like me want to be able to live active lifestyles and do more. She worked with me, encouraged and supported me, and got me exactly where I wanted to be. She's excellent at what she does, and even when I had slight doubts about where I'd end up, I had great faith in HER. I like how detailed she is, explaining how the body works, and what the end result will be by working on strength, endurance and range of motion. I also had a chance to work with Harnisha and Gaelen, who were wonderful. And Michelle at the front desk is a real sweetheart and the perfect person to be the first encounter in the facility. My orthopedic doctor is with ILBJ in Arlington Heights, and I didn't want to drive that distance twice a week, so finding they had physical therapy in Libertyville was a godsend. I just finished p.t. a couple days ago and couldn't be happier with the results. I HIGHLY recommend them.

Unbelievable service here. I get there, the front desk staff lady ( I wish I could remember her name). I believe she was of asian descent. Anywho, RUDE and acted as if I didn't matter. She got the nurse I spoke with and they proceeded to talk about the front desk staffs nails as if I wasn't standing there. I have NEVER received such terrible service from a doctors office. The nurse even told me that we had not had the conversation and told me I was lying. REALLY??? Would I take off work early, make up a doctors appointment all for the hell of it? NOT!!! Very sad! I have never been treated as they treated me in that office that day. I will not ever go to that location again...

My husband was in the late stages of pulmonary fibrosis and was in the hospital for pneumonia. He was getting treatment but getting weaker. The doctor that signed the papers insisted he needed rehab. He should have been in hospice. He was released to Avantara for rehab. This place was a nightmare from the start. I left my cell number on a piece of paper by the phone. My husband said they threw away the number right after I left. When I went to visit two days later my husband kept saying he could not breath. His lunch tray was not touched. I asked one of the CNAs and she said the instructions said he didn't need help and she would to contact the doctor. When asked why my husband was so out of it she shrugged her shoulders and walked out of the room. He could hardly move and couldn't even hold a spoon. I asked the male nurse on the floor to listen to his lungs because they were crackling and he did nothing. They never checked his oxygen levels knowing he had pneumonia. Next day he was worse and they did nothing until an occupational therapist came to do therapy. I told her how my husband was barely coherent and could not breath and the staff was refusing to help him. She went got help. The male nurse finally checked the oxygen and it was dangerously low. He went and got two more nurses. One kept saying the oximeter was wrong. The other nurse called 911. My husband was admitted to ICU and died 3 days later.
