It's really sad when someone hides behind social media to slander a great smaller, local business such as Praxis. In a world where so much is big business focused, it's nice to have the more personal and unique experiences you can only get from smaller businesses. This may be where you eat out or shop, but can also include your healthcare, which for a lot of individuals includes physical therapy. Most healthcare nowadays is so "in-and-out" without gaining a REAL look at YOU as an individual. You tend to be seen more as a diagnosis code. That being said, Praxis Physical Therapy is the exact opposite of that. All the therapists here really take the time to work with you one-on-one and help you gain the results you are looking for in your rehab. Not only that but all of the staff have been graciously helpful in scheduling and getting everything set up on the insurance/financial end. It's a smooth process here where as with other healthcare settings, there have been more kinks. They watch and keep track of visits used really well so it doesn't go over the limit for your insurance plan! In regards to not having more reviews on this business, it doesn't surprise me! Most people who write reviews online do so while ranting on about something they are blowing out of proportion. (Look at most reviews on the web and you will see this; negative comments almost always are the most abundant!) Most people who have a good experience at a place don't feel the need to write about it online because they don't have any negative looming thoughts and so it's not any concern to them. Had they had the respect to contact/confront the business or owner directly about their experience they probably would have left a more satisfied customer instead of having to rant about it later, shielded by the vastness of our online world nowadays of course. Bottom line, after having spent a good amount of time at Praxis, I wouldn't want to go anywhere else for physical therapy because I've been on the other side of the therapy fence and the grass is definitely greener on this side! read more

To start there is always two sides of a story and I think it was very irresponsible of Yelp to post the review from an irate client. The story that was posted on April 7 is a total fabrication of the truth as to what really happened in our office on April 7th. I personally was on the phone with said client when she was very upset and belligerent with me over the fact that we could not send her an email re: registration form. I offered to fax said registration form but to no avail she was getting more upset ranting about our office and how upset she was. To make a long story short she was coming for a brace for her son and was out of network. She was advised by our insurance girl that she was not in network and that she would have to pay an amount for the brace. When she came out from the appointment she firmly stated that she was not going to pay today. We told her in order to pick up brace we would have to receive payment. She came back with a check and starting ranting about how we didn't call her insurance company and starting swearing to me re: her deductible. In turn I went back to my boss Dr. Kordecki and he came out and simply stated that here is your shoulder pads, prescription and your check you need to go elsewhere. You are not going to be belligerent to my staff. If anyone was raising their voice it was the client not Dr. Kordecki. She stormed out of the office and called him a choice name and said she was going to call her doctor. This situation is very unusual because we usually get great, positive reviews about our facility and especially about Dr. Kordecki. read more

I cannot express how delighted I was with the concern, care and positive attitude I received from every person I came in contact with at Praxis Physical Therapy. From the moment I called to schedule my appointment through the full course of my physical therapy program, I was treated like a member of the family. Everyone at this facility was genuinely concerned about my success, coaching me to get back to the full life I was missing due to my injury. The Praxis medical biller fully explained my out of network benefits and I was willing to pay for the quality care I received, even though my husband's employer does not offer Blue Cross Blue Shield. I spent many hours at another 'chain' clinic with relatively little results. The few weeks I spent at Praxis, with treatment and exercises above and beyond in my previous experience, were what I needed to be back to normal! I have known about Praxis Physical therapy for as long as it has been open, 9 years. I was shocked to read the scathing review that a woman wrote yesterday. The reception staff has always been friendly and professional, helping everyone I came across work out appointment schedules and difficulties with their insurance. The therapists are all very caring and seem to be totally focused on solving their patient's problems. have known Mike for 25 years and am thorououghly impressed with his professional knowledge and the high personal standards he holds himself and his staff to. I tell all my friends and family to go to Praxis and if they don't live close enough to find a place like Praxis to go to as there are a lot of PT clinics out there that are mostly, if not totally, in it for the money! read more

Dr. Michael Kordecki is the most knowledgeable and professional Physical Therapist with whom I have ever worked. And the Praxis staff exemplifies the best in patient care. Dr. Kordecki has been my Physical Therapist for almost 30 years and has helped me recover from several major injuries (including one misdiagnosed by another PT) and has helped prevent others. Throughout my career as a PGA Golf Professional I have relied on Dr. Kordecki and now Praxis to help me prevent injuries and improve the performance of myself and my students. I am a regular patient at Praxis. I was in the waiting room when this woman came in with her brace. Dr Kordecki did a great job in the way he handled the situation. The woman who wrote this review should be ashamed of herself. She was extremely belligerent to the office staff and she was yelling at the woman behind the front desk. I so impressed that Mike stood up for his employees when he very politely and firmly asked the woman to take her business elsewhere. She did a great job of embarrassing HERSELF !!!! IF she thinks yelling and cussing at people should be tolerated she is dead wrong. In this case the WOMAN was the bully not Mike. I am glad to see that there are still people that will not tolerate a bullies behavior. GREAT job Mike keep up the excellent work !!!!!!!! read more

I never write these kinds of things, but felt compelled to after reading comments from an obviously irate customer. As a local physician, not only do I refer patients there ( especially when they want " the best" ) , but I AM ALSO A PATIENT !! If you want generic, big box, impersonal, and a therapist seeing 2 or 3 patients at the same time, then don't come here. The " mom and pop" place atmosphere is EXACTLY where you want to be getting your therapy... its what makes them unique and above the other facilities. I have known Mike and his staff for over 15 years, and have rehabbed a variety of injuries under their excellent care. Please don't let yourself be swayed by someone trying to blemish the practice ( the complaints had NOTHING to do with the care provided ). read more

As a mother with a son who is into sports, you want to help him reach his full potential in whatever way you can. Since I am no sports enthusiast, I do not have much to offer my son but my full support. So, when he talked about speed training one time, I searched online to find local centers who offered the program. Then, I found Praxis. I gave them a call to ask a few questions, and the guy at the other end was giving relevant information. I just gave it a go and told my son about it. He was very ecstatic because he always wanted one, and even up to the last day of the program, he has never said anything bad about Praxis. Again, I do not know much about such things but my son was quite happy, so I recommend them to everyone else. read more

Fantastic physical therapy facility! I was taking my Mother for hip and back therapy. Beth was her therapist; she was professional, well educated, and worked with my Mom to get her back to full range of motion. Without Beth's dedication and concern about my mothers well being, she would not have made a successful recovery. She was given the necessary tools to continue therapy at home once she was released. The office staff, as well as therapists, all maintained a professional environment while we attended 3+ months of therapy. I have been a patient with Praxis Physical Therapy for months working directly with Mike Kordecki and Mike Reid and various front office staff. Everyone of them are professional and care about Praxis patients!! I have and would still recommend Praxis to anyone needing physical therapy! This place came highly recommended to me by my surgeon and many other people. From all the time I have spent at Praxis I can tell you that each physical therapist cares about every patient whether that patient is under their specific care or not! Mike and his team are very professional and accommodating. I had an ankle injury once which was restored through a major operation. Nevertheless, ever since, my ankle sprains easily even with just moderate load. Evidently, this has resulted for a lesser enjoyment with my favorite sports - basketball. When I heard about Praxis from a friend, I gave them a shot and discussed with their physical therapist what can be done to bring back my ankle to its regular and healthy state. They evaluated my case, designed a specific course of action, and planned an injury prevention program. Thanks to these guys, I can now play hoops actively again! read more

I was looking for a good physical therapist for my husband at an affordable price, so a friend of mine recommended me to go to Praxis. My husband got into a really bad injury, so we wanted the best of the best. At Praxis we found a great physical therapist who was extremely patient and informative with us the entire process. He gave my husband a lot more confidence, and just by all the effort and time the doctor put into my husband's program, it showed how much he loves doing his job. My brother was referred to Praxis for a physical rehabilitation program after a mountain biking accident where he acquired a fracture on his left humerus. He is currently in his fourth month of treatment and I have to say that he is showing some great improvements. Aside from my brother's determination, his therapist's expertise and patience are also to thank for. Since day one, his therapist has always been very supportive and optimistic that it also gives my brother a positive outlook, which I believe greatly helps with his recovery. When I was playing polo, I had fallen off my horse and it left a few bad injuries. My shoulder was messed up, so after my operation, my orthopedic recommended me to one of the best physical therapists in the area who happened to be in Praxis Care. My physical therapist was very hopeful and patient with me. He did things at my own pace while still trying to push me beyond my limits. He helped me develop my goals through a program that lasted for a few months. It has taken me a lot of hard work, but slowly it worked and I became very optimistic with my recovery. When I saw this review on Praxis I was shocked, it was anything but the truth from what happened. I was helping a client on the phone at the front desk and she heard yelling in the background and was asking if everything was ok, I had to put her on hold until the patient finished her rant. Throughout the fiasco Mike Kordecki remained calm, collected and professional unlike the patients mother. Regarding Praxis Physical Therapy - simply a great place for help. The staff at Praxis was so helpful that their recommendations have stayed with me for the last five years since being injured.
