Dr. Kim is amazing - I couldn't be happier with her work and the difference it's made in my life!…read moreI've been having hip pains for the better part of 2 years and with her care and expertise the pain is gone and I am finally able to enjoy exercise again. She and her husband (who run the practice together) are both super professional, very knowledgeable, approachable and warm. I've learned a lot from her; she's the kind of doctor that's not just there to treat the problem, but to also give you the tools to live an all-around healthier and happier life. Highly, highly recommend!

I arrived at 8:41 a.m. and had all required forms completed by 8:58 a.m. After waiting in the exam room until 9:12 a.m., I was informed that the doctor was not even onsite yet and would arrive in another 10-15 minutes. At that point, I explained that I had work obligations and had specifically scheduled an early appointment to accommodate my schedule. The response I received was simply, "I'm sorry." What I find most concerning is the complete disregard for a patient's time. Patients are expected to arrive early, remain punctual, and structure their workdays around these appointments, yet the same professional courtesy was evidently not extended by the provider. Running a few minutes behind is understandable; not being present at the office for scheduled appointments is something entirely different. First impressions matter, particularly in healthcare. Unfortunately, my experience suggested a lack of professionalism and respect for patients' time, which does not inspire confidence in the practice overall.

They are sticklers for correct form and know how to push patients without overextending them. Sessions were tough but so effective. The massage at the end of every session was welcomed- much like savasana in yoga!

It's the people. They're a very professional, savvy, and compassionate, bunch. I've worked primarily with two therapists, Daniel and Cyp, Daniel primarily. Daniel is perhaps the best physical therapist I've ever have a pleasure of working with. (This includes IBJI PT after rotator cuff surgery.) He's very smart, a great listener, extremely empathic and applied what he learns to routines he designs for home use. You'll have a great experience with this terrific organization, see if you can score Daniel to work with you, you'll absolutely be pleased. Caroline and husband John run the place and Caroline spent time with me designing a schedule that meets Aetna's requirements and provides me with the best PT with Daniel. I highly recommend North shore, conveniently located on 1st Street with street parking and directly across from City parking. The facility is comfortable and clean, and everyone I've met has been fantastic! If I made Daniel sound too good to be true, it might be because he's absolutely one of the best around I'm sure.

I graduated from PT today!!…read more I can't say enough about how much I loved PT, which is odd because who loves going therapy? However, when you meet the staff here, it's easy to understand. I started coming here about ten weeks ago after I sustained a fall on ice that ultimately led to bilateral chondromalacia (aka softening behind the kneecap). When I first started PT, I was wearing a brace, my right knee was giving out, and it hurt to do basic activities like getting up from a chair and squatting. As a nurse, it was becoming difficult to fully function at work and I was feeling pretty disheartened. Bjorn and Nikita were my primary team throughout my course of therapy, but I also had Jace and Abby who were equally as wonderful. The team gave me strengthening exercises and slowly but surely increased the intensity of difficulty of my workouts each week. Some days were hard. Some days, I doubted if I would ever be able to keep up with regular exercises again. But after pushing through it and trying really hard, I was able to get back to my previous level of activity under their watchful guidance. I've been to other physical therapists whose main mode of treatment was medicine, electrical stimulation, and deep tissue work, but none of them ever taught me how to strengthen myself and how to exercise properly. From what I've learned at this Athletico, I can trust that my progress will last provided I keep up with my exercises. The biggest reason I loved coming to this Athletico for PT is that it's a positive environment. The staff are fun, love to laugh, and prioritize your well-being. If you are seeking PT in a location you can trust, don't think about it, just give them a call. You won't find a kinder bunch of people anywhere else and I cannot thank them enough for all they've done to help me.

Where do I even begin?…read more I was referred for physical therapy after major surgery on my ankle and foot. I intended to return to the site where I previously completed physical therapy in 2014. The therapist I saw no longer works at that location, and so I decided to find a clinic closer to work and home. And that's how I scooted in the front door of this location in May. Seriously. On a knee scooter. With a bell. And a basket. That had a brewery bumper sticker on it. I am classy. I spent almost six months completing physical therapy at this site, regaining strength and flexion in my foot and ankle as well as strength in my hip. What could have been a miserable experience was anything but. The staff at this location are incredible. They demonstrated amazing patience, kindness, and humor with all of their patients. I looked forward to my appointments, not only because I was making measurable progress but also because I enjoyed spending the time with Bjorn, Katie, and Jace. Conversation flowed easily, particularly because of the open floor plan, and it was easy to get to know other patients and staff. My questions were always answered in a way that I could understand. The exercises provided both on-site and to do at home were specific to my injuries and addressed the concerns my doctor and I had about my recovery. I always felt heard and like a partner in the process rather than simply a patient. When I was frustrated, they were reassuring. When I needed some levity, they turned all of my exercises into carnival games. When I needed patience, they gave it unconditionally. I 'graduated' from physical therapy tonight, and I have to admit, it was bittersweet. I'm grateful for the progress I've made and the help I received, but I'll miss the staff at this location.
