That's how we found Knoxville Fine Violin , and what started as a random Google search turned into such a wonderful experience. Knoxville Fine Violin is a family-owned shop, and the owner was incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and welcoming. He patiently answered all of our questions and even connected us with a children's violin teacher. Best of all, he was able to fix the Easter Bunny's mistake and get my daughter's violin ready to play! Side note -- my daughter absolutely loved the owner and his shop. When we went to pick up her violin today, she insisted on drawing him a picture before we left. That alone says so much about the kindness we experienced there. I am just starting to learn about playing and Wyatt the luthier was so nice and patient with me today. He answered all my questions and showed me all kinds of different options. They have everything from rentals to high end stuff. They even make custom made violins. He showed me the wood blocks and how they book match the back of the violin or do a one piece back. It was a lot of fun to see everything and I learned a lot. There wasn't a big push to buy (although I did buy some things before I left). The prices are reasonable and the quality and selection was better than any place around. They have a selection of strings, cases and bows, as well as other books and maintenance items. They have multiple luthiers for repairs, too. If you play, go check out the shop. It's downtown near the Tennessee Theater. Great atmosphere and great customer service. Thank you, Wyatt!
